I think The Assassian will win. He’s an expert on the counterattack. He knocks Ryu to the ground and puts an assassian’s blade through him.
After watching what Ryu is capable of in a gameplay video, I would have to say he would be able easliy slice Altair into little pieces. Crazy ninja gets my vote.
Altair has supeirior technology. Ryu has superior skills. I guess this all depends on who has more stamina

Altair’s skill is beyond that of the average swordsman, but Ryu’s skill seems to defy physics it’self.
I think Altair is the winner of this fight, because, I played both games and I compared the strenght and the skill of Altair and Ryu, so I came to a conclusion: the agility and the silent assassin skills that Altair is posesing can put Ryu in the graveyard

@ dracosphinx how does altair have better tech? ryu can get swords that are electrically charged and multiple magic weapons.
as for sneaking ability they are on par with eachother
ryu can use magic and arrows to kill from a distance and he is extremely accurate
as for assasination skills ryu has killed many opponents e.g. soldiers(with very big guns) demons and werewolves……..i see in no way possible that altair can win

ryu would win this one just because of the fact that he can outrun altair, he is more agile than altair and he is stronger than him too (he kills things that even altair would fear if he just gazed upon them) plus ryu has his ninpo stuff that enables him cast powerful mystic arts.

Altair is far stealthier than Ryu, who is more samurai than ninja. If he can break contact and buy some time for a sneak attack, then he could win.
Ryu, however, would mince Altair in a direct confrontation.
I fail to see how someone who is a regular human can compete against a person who manhandles 15 ft demons and throws fireballs and magical swords
you cant prove ryu is is or isnt more skilled in stealth then altiar, ryu finished ninja training with honors and is the best in his world.

ive played and beat assassins creed and on my way to beating ninja gaiden 2 and i have to say that even though altair is awesome with a sword ryu would destroy altair with the ultimate technique and his counters are way deadlier and faster than altairs
