Ok, I have to admit when this was first suggested, I thought it must be a joke. But after doing a lil bit of research, the pink ball of energy has some interesting attacks that the Chief may have some trouble accounting for:

- Takes on characteristics of who he is Fighting

So, how does this match play out?
Finally, i’m 100% sure the cheif has lost. Kirby may not be intimidating, but he is an ultimate force.
ya… i got to give this round to kirby because i dont remember completely but kirby has some eating and blowing attacks,plus kirby has alot of fist fighting move…I might be wrong so do not be lecturing me. But on the other hand if Master Chief had a sniper rifle, it would be over in two second…

Since Kirby is only 8 inches tall i dont see him doing much agains MC, maybe is he flew a warp start through MC’s head.
from what i played of super smash bros, kirby eats people and the takes on their characteristics. So it basically would be master cheif vs. master kirby.
Kirby can eat the bullets and spit them back out, so either Master Chief would laugh himself to death, or Kirby would eat him, or possibly Master Chief sticks himself and runs into Kirby’s gaping piehole, thus killing them both.
Kirby has several options to win this.
-Firstly, he can eat masterchief, to gain all the powers of masterchief, but still have the edge, because he still has all the powers of Kirby.
-Secondly, he can eat whatever masterchief fires at him (or eat the weapon out of masterchief’s hands), and either spit it right back at masterchief, or gain the power of what was fired at him (e.g. grenades->bomb Kirby | fuel rod gun-> plasma Kirby | sword -> sword Kirby) all of which give Kirby unlimited ammo of his current form (/of what he ate)
-Thirdly, if any strong enemies are around, Kirby could eat them (e.g. hunter Kirby, brute chieftain Kirby, arbiter Kirby, maybe even Johnson Kirby)
-Fourthly, if Kirby eats a Scorpion Tank, (or even a Scarab Tank), he could easily… wait, how big a thing can Kirby eat? …ring Kirby?
And to be honest, I don’t think masterchief has a chance against most of the major Nintendo charecters (e.g. Samus, Kirby, Link, Ness)
kirby wouldn’t stand a chance against master cheif. even if kirby eats him he is still small and master chief could easily blow him up with a granade or a smack. face it kirby is weak. master cheif can just pop a bullet in kirby’s but. master cheif is so big that he could stomp on kirby

It seems that many think MC could just step on Kirby or shoot him… WELL that is certainly not true. Think of Kirby like a squishy stress ball of death. When he is stepped on, he changes shape… When shot, he acts in a similar way to Flubber.
All things shot at Kirby would be eaten or “bounced.” Why, even MC could be swallowed up by Kirby…then Kirby would have all of MC’s abilities at his disposal…

Kirby is a bit taller than eight inches…depending on what he morphed into. And his average size is a bit taller as well. And, well, how does weight contribute to Mc’s victory? How does his height aid him in combat? It’s all about the attack…the kill…the win.
You assume so simply that MC would win, only because you are an obsessive freak who plays Halo far too much. Kirby would fit any shape he was compressed into…so, even if he was crushed by Master Chief, no crushing would be involved. You need bones or substance to crush. Kirby would squish…and come right back up again, just as he had before.
And Kirby can “jump” pretty high. Yes, MC can as well, but I just thought I’d trhow that out there.
And any projectiles would prove to be worthless…even explosives. Kirby could swallow them, creating no harm to his systems. And no–his systems DO NOT stop the explosion of certain devices…it just causes no harm for some reason. All that tends to result from thrown projectiles is that Kirby coughs a little smoke and/or gains the ability to throw/wield unlimited supply of what was used upon him.

Correction: Kirby mimics SOME characteristics of his opponent. He would most likely get a helmet and AR, but not much more.

Shields, grenades, bubble shields, flamethrower. Kirby indestructible pieces but you can take apart indestructible pieces, because then you just have a lot of them basically there is still the same mass.

2000lbs is close to MC’s weight, he actually weighs a little more, he’s 1 tonne in weight, but if he stood on Kirby, Kirby would bounce back and be close enough to eat him, so I don’t think MC would try that, unless he didn’t know what was coming. But yeah, I still think MC has a very good chance at this, unless Kirby gets like, a Spartan Laser for eating MC (seeing as MC is a Spartan… hur hur hur badum tish)

Kirby has access to incredible (if somewhat confusing) Abilities, Weapons, and Powers (You gIve Chief a Spartan Laser, Give Kirby the Dragoon or Hydra.)
Kirby is faster, stronger, has no physical structure, so no worry about bodily damage or harm like bones or blood (Can Kirby even bleed?)
True, Chief does have some impressive technology, but he doesn’t always have it (If he always carried around a rocket launcher, a plasma sword, and a full set of every grenade… well that would be pretty damn useful.)
And to anyone that said the only way Kirby can win is if Chief dies laughing, When does he even chuckle? He’s a solider, he’ll treat any and every hostility as being just as strong as him or stronger ( I can honestly respect him for that)

I don’t think Kirby could swallow MC. His suction abilities are often ineffective or useless against very large and heavy opponents, and MC is seven foot and weighs half a ton. Compare that to Kirby, who is less than a foot tall.
If Kirby doesn’t start with any of his copied-powers, then he would most likely be unable to get the required firepower necessary to eliminate the Chief.

Super Smash Bros isn’t canon to anything except Super Smash Bros. Characters like Samus, Sonic, Fox, and Ganondorf as significantly underpowered where characters like Kirby, Jigglypuff, Yoshi, and Marth are overpowered so that the roster can fight on a somewhat even playing field.
In reality, if the members of the roster to SSBB were ripped directly from their home canon there is almost no reason Samus, Sonic, Ness, Ganondorf, or Fox would loose most any fight.
It doesn’t help that SSBB characters are able to dodge lasers, which is a feat almost none of the cast can do in their home canons, and are stated in SSBB canon to be animated trophies, which again is something that these characters are not in their home canons.

Samus weights 198 lbs vs John’s 1000 + lbs.
Not to even mention the fact that Kirby cannot suck up characters that are roughly 2 feet tall in his home canon.
Also in SSBB, while his stated height is 8 inches, Kirby’s character model is about three feet tall assuming Samus’s 6 foot 1 inch standing is constant between Metroid and SSB. Either way, the characters in SSB are not the same height they are as the same characters in their home canon.
Basically SSB stuff is non-canon unless the character in question is specifically stated to be the SSB incarnation.

FOR GOD SAKE DID YOU NOT JUST READ THT SSBB WAS NON CANNON… We could speculate that he could take in a bullet. It’s still a physical object and its not like its gonna pass through Kirby
If kirby were to be shot at how would probably dodge it. he is a small target and can run really fast… still… lead Kirby anyone?
The size of the characters in ssbb is really messed up. Olimar is meant be the size of a 50 pence coin.
Am I the only one here that actually played any of the Kirby games? Kirby is indeed 8 inches tall but he has no problem eating enemies much larger then himself its just game mechanics that he has to K.O them first in order to eat them but these are mini-bosses who give him access to very powerful attacks.
All in all Kirby has what it takes to take down MC. He can in fact inhale MC bullets and bombs and either swallow them or spit them out as stars. He can also swallow them and then create a minion based on the property of whatever he swallowed. Couple that with his ability to gain increased mobility by riding stars(which he can crash into MC and make them explode) his great hand-to-hand combat skills, and his awesome B-Boy skills and I think he has this in the bag.
Has anyone noticed how kirby’s swallow abilities seem to vanish when he copies something?
@Beli-I think that’s do to Kirby being a very young Star Warrior at this time so he probably doesn’t have that much control over his power to use more then one power at the same time
