Would he try to stop others from using it?
Would he have stayed in order to try to rebuild the society?
Would the Nazi’s be successful (if he left)?
What other implications would there be?

Indy would probably stay with the people on the other side, leaving the Nazis to recover the Ark of the Covenant. Opening it would still kill them and I doubt they’d win, even with Indy gone.
Interesting question regarding the Nazi’s since Indy’s involvement would have made absolutely no difference to the outcome of the war.
They would still have died opening the Ark of the Covenant using the Hebrew ritual, the Holy Grail could never leave the tomb anyway and the allies were always going to invade and topple Nazi Germany with or without the assistance of a part-time teacher..
I think that in addition to L-W’s post, I doubt the events that took place in the Stargate universe would be any different. In all honesty, I consider Indi to be a mix between Danniel Jackson and Jack O’Neil.
The only real effect that would take place is Indiana disappearing from the face of the earth as his insatiable curiosity would send him on a constant exploration of ancient cultures throughout the galaxy.
Let me get this straight (since I am a big Indy fan) but would he get futuristic weapons? Because if so that would be awesome
Da nana na-nana! Lol, I love that theme music.
Thanks admin!!
Awww come one guys…i figured you guys would be more creative with this one.
Indy, after discovering the gate, would decipher the symbols and their meaning quicker than Jackson (in my opinion, Indy is a better archaeologist) and dial Abydos. He would discover Ra’s control of Abydos, and would try to help the Abydonians get their freedom. In the end, we all know Indy wins. He would realize hes trapped on Abydos, and due to his historical intellect, would discover the cartouche and begin traveling other worlds…leaving Earth behind and exploring ancient cultures and mingling amongst them….also being an enemy and threat to the Goa’uld the entire way. He could’ve ended up becoming a Tok’ra, or even contact the Asgard.
“f the Nazis acquired the Ark then they will be victorious to all the war they will wage”
Or they would die on the unnamed African Island anyway for meddling with the word of god.
Indy would put it in a museum, or he would use it to collect artifacts from other worlds and put those in a museum, or both.
@Flyboy
Sorry, I don’t have knowledge of Stargate
@flyboy51
Most of what you say Indy would accomplish is not possible. The turn of events in both the movie and the subsequent series were so because of the military involvement. Try to keep in mind that modern weaponry was the sole means for the turn of event of the movie, namely the nuke that went boom.
Other than the knowledge of Ra not being an actual god, Indiana would not have the means at all to fight his rule. He would most likely be killed by the Jaffa.
I’m a pretty big fan of Indiana Jones, but it would just be an artifact. He wouldn’t be able to dial anywhere, because, well, you need a colossal power source to do so. Like, the massive energy directed into the SG-C to power the Earth stargate is fairly mindblowing. Without access to that kind of power source, it would just be a stone ring. It’s possible he might figure out it’s historical meaning, and perhaps turn it into the American Government. But even then, I doubt they would figure it out. Jones is an archeologist, not a linguist.
The Stargate was first opened in the 1940s…for those of you who watch Stargate. Ernest Littlefield went through and became stranded on Helipolis for the rest of his adult life until his eighties when SG-1 found him. Maybe the same thing would happen to Indy…
Nothing would happen. The Stargate timeline would go on as usual. Indy is awesome, but he’s no Daniel Jackson. Hmm, maybe what flyboy51 says could happen.
I dan’t get this question what time does this happen?
i agree with fly boy
