Considering he just wiped his hands clean of inter-Human 20th Century warfare, I doubt he would have any inclination to aid the perpetually warring denizens of the Warhammer universe.
He may (As he quoted in his last appearance) create a benevolent peace-loving race of his own to populate the Galaxy, or just ignore everyone all together, witnessing the Galaxy crumble around him.
He’d probably marvel at their worlds and take little notice of the people in them. Perhaps due to his sense of justice and his beliefs about deifying non-gods he’d remove the Emperor of Mankind from existence. This would tick off the Space Marines, but they really can’t do a thing to stop him. Kharn might go after him for a challenge. His last challenge. Basically, Manhattan would be a god as we see it, near-omnipotent with no boundaries preventing him from using his power.
This is interesting. Manhattan is not above human emotion. This makes me wonder how he would reactupon first contacts with less evolved sentient beings.
In his own world, he only new accusations and persecution. He was still held in a high pedestal by the entire world, but he was simultaneously looked down upon. Being a society fueled by science, they generally understood manhattan to be an anomaly.
However, the story would be much diferent in the case of him traveling to the fantasy world of warhammer. Here he would be litterally seen as a god, and providing he stays long enough, he would be admired as such.
Would this then give the good ol doctor a sense og hubris? Would he then get a bit more involved in the conflicts that drag his new “disciples” in?
In the case of 40K, would he be able to ignore the sheer scale of attrocities that are done across the entire galaxy?
I think he would be initially thought to be the Starchild, but then humanity would crumble when manhattan starts lashing out at his own kind for the horrors they have wrought onto others. The humanity would shun him and named him a re-awoken C’Tan, declaring perpetual war onto the blue wonder.
It is also not out of the question that the other powers would address Manhattan. Chaos would most certainly show interest in him (Tzeentch specially). Same would go with the C’Tan. I’m sure the Deceiver could put the doctor to good use.
No, I don’t think Manhattan would be able to stay out of the equation at all…
Following the events of Watchmen I see Manhattan growing beyond the soulless puppet of humanity and even the archetypal emotionless pedestal. He has a new found respect for life in all forms, witnessing it as a thermodynamic miracle worthy of his divine wonder.
But the continuously perpetuating state of War of the 40K universe would more than likely dampen this new attitude, the continuous proliferation of life in all forms throughout the Galaxy, the commonplace fruition of a permanent thermodynamic “miracle” intent on nothing more than a never ending cycle of war would be the death knell. He would come to recognize the unavoidable zealousness of the Imperium whilst marveling in pity as they vie for control against the forces of Chaos, he would slowly lose all care in the face of the hypocrisy that is the Tau and would turn colder as the hatred of the Necrontyr drives their perpetual genocide.
The only two species he would come to be fascinated by would be the Ork and Tyranid. The Ork is nothing more than the Comedian of the Universe, whilst the Hive Mind is a force of nature, purely elemental and almost a natural balance to the order of everything itself.
I can only foresee Manhattan looking towards the Stars at a Galaxy that is teeming with a “Miracle” that he came to recognize as unique, now breeding and tearing apart the Galaxy with the vigor of war. It would crush him, overwhelm him. He would settle down and await the inevitable death of the universe.
Also, God help the guy who colonised Mars and turned it into a giant Factory. That would not make him happy in the least.

If Manhattan made himself known in 40K, I believe the Emperor would see him as a threat and have his marines try to kill him…and fail miserably. In an awesome demonstration of his power, the humans of the Imperium would lose faith in their Emperor. Manhattan would then destroy the Emperor himself. With the Emperor finally dead, he would begin to make peace throughout the galaxy. He would eliminate the Tyranids (keep in mind this wouldn’t be impossible for him to do) and likely the Orks would worship him as a God as well…seemingly doing the impossible: uniting human and ork in peaceful alliance.
The gods of Chaos would not be able to stop him, and the human/ork alliance would combine forces to fight their armies. The Eldars, with how advanced they were, would likely only respect and fear Manhattan, but not worship him.
what if manhatten traveled to the into warp in the 40k universe? that would be alot more interesting
Manhattan could survive the warp.

They are supremely popular for a reason, and that is because we can’t get enough of their ludicrous antics.

He wouldn’t remain aloof because he believes that life is not overrated, but actually a “miracle”. And with how the Imperium and its leaders kill, and kill, and kill…destroying this miracle…Manhattan wouldn’t tolerate it.

Nothing can be classified as a miracle once it becomes more commonplace than the Hydrogen atom, it then becomes a law. What drew Manhattan to appreciate 20th century humanity was it’s rarity and fragility, a single tether of life dangling precariously on a single blue orb.
In the 40K universe, life is more abundant than the stars, picking up a gun and going to war moments after attaining higher evolution.

That’s kinda the point of what he just said. If Dr. Manhattan can appreciate the fragility of Life, and he travels to a universe while the whole point of Life is to ‘kill or be killed’ in a cyclical existence, I think he’d be more inclined to just wipe the slate clean then interfere.
But then agian, I still have to watch Watchmen, so what do I know. lol.
Seriously what would happen if Dr. manhattan traveled into the warp since Dr. manhattan has control over physics and all but the warpspace is nothing like realspace. The laws of physics don’t apply in the warp. What affect would that have on Dr. manhattan? Would he even be able to navigate through the warp? Could a daemon come along and steal his soul assuming he has one? Why am I asking all these questions.
