   Blade’s physical form is more powerful than Belmont’s weapons, so Blade gets this one in my opinion.

   Simon Belmont is the hero from some of the games in the Castlevania series. I don’t know too many details, but he defeated dracula and some form of “Death” primarily using a chain whip thing.

   I’m sorry but Simon has this in the bag. that “chain whip thing” does massive damage to vampires and Simon has defeated Dracula ( and demons that would make blade look like a puppy) on more then one occasion. also it was not ” some form of death” it was death himself that was beaten by the Belmont clan (including Simon) and the vampire killer.

   Yes, but how strong can death himself be if whipped to death?

   It’s similar to Xena fans saying OMG THE CHAKRAM CAN KILL GAWDS!!!!
   I am not aware of any castelvania canon that shows that the whip itself is anything other than a well-constructed human whip that is simply able to kill “death himself”.

   Unless you can point us to valid canon of the whip being magical and the like, I simply think many villains in the castlevania series aren’t very durable or agile to be downed so easily.

   I wish I still had my Dawn of Sorrow it had a library feature and the Vampire Killer was one of the articles so I can’t give you a quote but it does say the Vampire Killer is magicked so it can kill demons.

   I believe this is what you are referring to:

   before anyone says that the whip is now weak keep in mind this is a quote from a game that takes place 252 years after the last game Simon was in (2036 – 1784)

    Yes that is it.I do not know who would win in this fight though.I have never played any games with Simon in them and I have not read any Blade.they seem to be fairly equal.

    Scratch that last part from the official Marvel site on Blade
    ” Blade has gained many of the traditional powers of the vampire without developing their weaknesses”
    So essentially any advantage gained from the ability to deal extra damage to creatures of the night is nulled.if he is harmed by Simon he has an accelerated healing factor.

    destroying creatures of the night is the whips inherent ability not a weakness of the vampires and im pretty sure with Simon using the hourglass/stopwatch sub weapon blade will be dead regardless of weapon.

    Simon belmont takes in, even though he is out classed his subweapons give it to him.
