What if…Jango Fett killed Mace Windu before he was decapitated?

Jango Fett, Mace Windu

Would Boba Fett become a great bounty hunter?
Would anyone else try to stop the Senator?
What other implications would there be?

    Well for starters Jango and Boba would have ultimately became the freaking greatest duo ever, probably making even more money and gaining more reputation than either of of them combined (relative to the real universe), however this has deeper impacts that this. Because his father is still around Boba’s life would have been different, with far less of the “being chased by Durge and a bunch of other people.” Also his marriage wouldn’t have been so unstable; IE I don’t see his daughter going rouge and trying to kill him, and because his daughter would have been at his side it is possible that Jacen wouldn’t have had such a high starting block on his descent to the dark side (because I see Jacen’s cold-blooded murder of her to be his first truly evil act.)

    I also find it likely that either Boba would have never meet Han (and gained his mutual hatred which he carried for decades) or that he is killed him with Jango’s assistance, thus screwing everything up for all of eternity. And if that wasn’t the case, with Jango around (cloud city, Jabba’s barge, etc.) it would have screwed over continuity anyway or at least made difficulties and outcomes more severe.

    Now for Mace.

    I first find it very unlikely that Jango could have killed Mace, escaped unscathed maybe, but not beat (say if the Reek hadn’t trampled him damaging his jetpack). But anyway;

    With Mace dead, the clone wars would have gone worse for the Republic, not war-breaking bad but worse (because if it was that bad, Palpat- err, Sidious would have pulled strings to make sure his plan fell through anyway). And I see it that Anakin’s fall to the dark side would have been quicker and probably more violent.

    That’s all I can think of now, but its pretty early; I’m sure I’m missing quite alot…

    if jango killed mace then that would mean that maybe anakin would obviously not have killed mace because mace was already dead

    With Jango still alive, quite a bit would be different. In addition to Alpha’s ideas, I believe his drop into the sarlacc would not have occurred, and he’d never have lost Han’s carbonite frozen body. This would tell me that Jacen and Jaina will never even exist, messing up the whole chronology.

    He never lost Han’s body, he sold it to Jabba because Boba really had no need for that oversized wall decoration. But I can still see it ending Bad for Jabba either way, mainly due to Luke being present.

    I mean Jabba wouldn’t lose it as Jango could help defeat the Rebels present.

    the most obvious thing to say is that if jango killed mace windu before he was decapitated then that would mean that mace windu died :D

    If Jango has killed Mace, then there’d have been no one to go and attempt to arrest Darth Sidious, meaning that eithe way.. Anakin would have fallen the the dark side.

    If Jango killed Mace, Boba wouldn’t become the mentally unstable heartless batard we all know and love now would he? Although this is a neat concept…

    @Battra Boy

    Honestly, I think the Jedi Order had enough knight and masters to attempt to arrest the Dark Lord when the time game. I have a reversal of your opinion. I think Anakin would have never fallen to the Sith rerouting all of Star Wars canon so that Order 66 and Operation: Knightfall never occured. So in a way, Mace Windu’s survival until Episode 3 is what spun the circumstances the way they did resulting in the eradication of the vast majority of Jedi.

    If Jango Would not have died then he would have continued to serve Count Dooku and take part in the War to Destroy the republic and get Paid well by the emperor for continueing to kill jedi.

    mace windu got decapitated (his head cut off)? his hands yes but not his head either way he didn’t have too big a role so nothing would have really changed
