Wolverine Vs Ryu Hayabusa

Wolverine Vs Ryu Hayabusa

Here is a great match that would be highly entertaining to watch. While I think Ryu would bring on the assault with tenacity, Wolverine would take the pounding and then wait for his opportunity to pounce.

I think Wolverine gets this.

What say you?

    wolverine wins.
sure,Ryu has lots of weapons, but adamantuim claws is all he needs.
plus wolverine has a healing factor so any damage he takes will heal.

First of all, this is a very inriguing match between two killing machines that I grew up learning about through comics and video games, so whoever thought this one up I say kudos to you.
As to who I think would win though, I would give it to Ryu. Not so much because of his fighting skills but because of his mystical abilities. The only advantage I see Wolverine having over Ryu is that he has way more allies than him such as the X-Men and the Avengers who he could easily call on to help him and Irene, Robert, Ken, Rachel or whoever couldn’t really do much to help the ninja.

Wolverine would Own ryu in my opinion, Sorry.

I seriously doubt there are magical constructs within Ryu’s possession that can generate over 4 ×10^90 Watts of energy. Not even Thor, or the user of the infinity gauntlet could even dent adamantium.

  10. marche February 16, 2009 at 8:58 pm -      #10

didn’t thor dent the shield during “civil war”?

  11. L-W February 16, 2009 at 9:49 pm -      #11

That was secondary stage Adamantium, the “Wall-Mart” cost effective version that whilst invulnerable to conventional force, is nowhere near as durable as the true Adamantium that coats Wolverine’s skeletal structure.

The only force capable of breaking that is the Hulk, which i doubt ryu could compare himself to.

BTW, see the cover for the new Ultimate Wolverine Vs Hulk miniseries?

    …pretty brutal!

Hasn’t that cover been around for some time now?

Although taking a four year hiatus to release a new episode was not one of the best ideas that Marvel has ever had.

  16. Matapiojo February 19, 2009 at 3:10 pm -      #16

Maybe it had been around the webs for a bit in terms of preview exposure, but that issue was released this month. It is a new mini-series for the Ultimate version of these characters to face off.

Both these guys are FAR more brutal than their Earth-616 counterparts. The miniseries promise to be pretty good.

    On a side note…

What is this 4-year hiatus you speak of?

  17. L-W February 19, 2009 at 9:53 pm -      #17

Originally the ultimate series was released in 2004-2005, but even with the comparatively frugal updates throughout the year, marvel has been incredibly quiet regarding it’s major releases.

Although in retrospect they were the same when “Ultimate Spiderman” was released in 2003, so it doesn’t surprise me.

  18. Matapiojo February 20, 2009 at 10:35 am -      #18

Marvel has really deviated considerably from its more traditional business portfolio, and it is working for them really well. Jow Quesada has taken Marvel down some pretty unexplored paths in comic industry when it comes to the big three.

You are right in saying that they are more reserved with their individual title releases. Hell, friggin Thor 600 was HUGE and I barely saw any promotion for it (really good issue BTW). They are doing this because they know the fans will be up to date no matter what, and they are banking on grabbing all their new readers from the quick distribution of trade paperbacks onto the major bookstores. It used to be that we wouldn’t see a Marvel TPB for a title till it was WELL after several years of mild success to try and boost the sales back to satisfactory levels. They are now releasing the TPBs as soon as they have 6-7 issues under the belt.

It really is working out for them.

It seems Marvel is more focused on promoting their dreaded/glorified wolrd events. All I read now is everything involving Dark Reign. As interesting as these events are (specially the last 5 – House of M, Civil War, World War Hulk, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign), the amount of titles involved simply make it too damn much for me to follow. I admit, with a little shame, that I have joined the ranks of the TPB crew with the exception of my core three titles (Ghost Rider, Thor, Hulk).

In the case of the Ultimate Universe, I do not follow it at all, but I picked up that mini-series just because of how much full of win that cover art is. Ultimate Hulk is merciless.

If there is any reason to witness your favorite heroes in their most glorified forms, Ultimate editions exact that purpose to the nth degree. In fact, just looking at the Ultimate rendition of Green Goblin alone is enough to send shivers up my spine at this very moment.

Diminutive man in Halloween costume to green ball of demonic flames intent on pure massacre, was the best decision regarding character depiction since Captain America in the 9/11 Ultimate edition.

Admin, is there a certain website You use for pics? Because google images are pretty iffy when I make my motivational pics, photobucket helps most of the time

  21. admin February 21, 2009 at 12:40 pm -      #21

@The One Sin – I use a variety of sites when I’m looking for images:
    Yahoo Image Search
    MSN image search

You can probably find 98% of all images I use on the site from those 4 sites.

    Hope this helps.

wolverine. the answer is within the question.

  25. LaSt sOn Of KrYpToN June 8, 2009 at 9:04 pm -      #25

Is that zombie wolverine in the picture. Oh i like Hayabusa, but I only see him winning this fight if his art of peircing void can obliterate Logan in one shot, but I doubt it

  26. Captain Epic June 13, 2009 at 9:11 pm -      #26

Hey cool pic of Ryu. Idk who would win this match Wolverine looks like he will win. Hey admin I could not change my pic on Gravatar so I had to make a new account with a new e-mail. Will that wipe away my stars?

  27. REAPER3fitty September 1, 2009 at 12:26 am -      #27

actually just a little tidbit of info
adamantium is not the hardest substance. it is an attempted copy of vibranium (caps sheild)

  28. billy October 4, 2009 at 8:07 am -      #28

But the amount of power that it would take to damage, destroy, dent adamantium is more than most could do. This fight goes to Wolvie.

  29. Ryuboy January 1, 2010 at 5:09 am -      #29

Ryu brutilness would scare the adamantium out of wolverine then he would slice him ………………… into peices.

  30. Jwlynas January 1, 2010 at 7:36 am -      #30

Worryingly, that whole “no Limits fallacy” could come into this match.

Wolverine can be hurt, and possibly killed, by the Muramasa Blade, no?

Ryu Hayabusa wields blades that are no less well forged and no less deadly. Are we saying theres No way at all that Ryu’s dark dragon blade could wound Wolverine permenantly?

  31. cyborg pirate ninja jesus January 17, 2010 at 10:45 pm -      #31

ryu is being severly understated here

upon seeing wolverine he has the capability to asuume his form and gain his abilities

ryu can also transform and use anyone he has seen before…this include what is essentially the devil. whos power is capable of annihilating armies in moments

he can make copies of himself that have the same skill and attributes as ryu

and im pretty sure that the dark dragon blade steals souls

  32. Darkbladex96 January 17, 2010 at 10:53 pm -      #32

dark dragon blade doesnt steal souls ryu’s other sword does though, the one you get from defeating Doku

  33. Darkbladex96 January 17, 2010 at 10:57 pm -      #33

Wolverine can be hurt, and possibly killed, by the Muramasa Blade, no?

“Ryu Hayabusa wields blades that are no less well forged and no less deadly. Are we saying theres No way at all that Ryu’s dark dragon blade could wound Wolverine permenantly?”

the reason the muramasa blade can keep enemies from regenerating isnt exactly explained.

but ryu’s dragon sword seem to do wonders on supernatural creatures. what is it made of anyway?

  34. cyborg pirate ninja jesus January 17, 2010 at 11:13 pm -      #34

i think that the dragon sword is just a regular sword however it is imbued by magic making it able to counter the demon powers that are in its “brother sword” the dark dragon blade it also has the eye of the dragon in its hilt which i think makes it indestructible or sumthin

  35. rocky August 20, 2010 at 3:28 pm -      #35

cant ryu just stick his sword whatever through the eye to destroy wolverines brain just askin cause not to sure that he would survive

  36. Anime Hero Kevin September 3, 2010 at 4:54 pm -      #36

The picture of Worverine in the Wolverine vs Ryu Hayabuza picture, is so Brutal because thats Wolverine in Beserk Rage form, So thats means that Wolverine won this match.

    Wolverine for the FP awards.

  37. Darkbladex96 September 3, 2010 at 5:59 pm -      #37

i actually question if logan wins this match since ryu can literally throw a black hole at him.

  38. Darkbladex96 September 3, 2010 at 6:02 pm -      #38

i looked up the dragon sword its actually made from the tooth of one of the dragons gods. so its magic by itself, the eye of the dragon makes it complete, they are both indestructable.

  39. Lowk September 15, 2010 at 5:54 pm -      #39

I’m leaning toward ryu because he can put enough distance between him and Logan to use art the piercing void(black hole).

  40. Chuck inglish October 27, 2011 at 11:08 pm -      #40

So im assuming ryu hayabusa wins this thanks to his art of piercing void

  41. Chuck inglish May 17, 2012 at 8:18 pm -      #41

    Ryu for the fp award
