David Copperfield Vs Chris Angel

Here we have two great illusionists – one from the “Old School” in Copperfield, and from the “New School” – Mind Freak Chris Angel. Personally, I like Angel’s performances as they are more “guerilla style” composed to the stage settings of Copperfield. Not to say that they both aren’t entertaining if you like that stuff, but for my money, the Mind Freak is more fun to watch.

I think Copperfield’s illusions are more creative, while Crhis Angel is exploiting a gimmic to “modernize” the craft. I just hate the whole concept of his illusions (not to mention his piss-poor show).

Chris Angel was cool, for like 5 minutes, but he talks in this stupid mellowtone voice and acts like he jesus.

I kinda like him.

As to this match up, they both pale in comparison to Paul Daniels.
