well i think Hiei is faster….
I think Hiei would have the speed advantage in this battle. Plus if he really was in a tight situation in this fight he could always pull out his dragon of the darkness flame attack to finish Ryu Hayabusa off in the end
Yeah Hiei has it, no doubt about it, Ryus strong but not stronger then Hiei.
your forgettin about the dragon blade hilt has an eye which is an ancient relic and Ryu can teleport and do 100+ hit combos its Ryu hands down

it seems u people don’t quite know much about ryu in the long run, hiei is strong but basically ryu has this fight in the bag, ryu has way more moves then hiei and on top of that ryu can travel faster then the speed of sound, not to mention about his weapon of choice considering that its not no ordinary sword since its a legendary weapon that holds sacred power and even when its true potential is unleashed forming the true dragon sword which upsets the balance of a delicate world
ryu is a super ninja guys and ryu has defeated dozens of demons so just because hiei pulls off a black dragon doesn’t mean he con destroy ryu in an instant…all ryu has to do is (art of the wind blades) which is a ninpo attack that creates 100,000 blades at light speed and cuts through opponents like nothing
If Yusuke’s a gauge with Hiei being superior in speed…
Yusuke dodged lightning bolts. That’s getting into the 30-40% speed of light range. That makes this debate a stomp in Hiei’s favor.
Aright marche shoot this down ryu has quadruple the speed of hiei and yes i do know about him i watched the yu yu hakusho series for a long time u sob also ng is the modern day super ninja in plus he has proficiency in every eapon

That’s the “Art of the Wind Blades” technique Issa mentioned on post 7.
At the very least Ryu is apparently capable of “lightning fast arm movements”. A close encounter seems more even than one may think. There’s no mention of it being light speed though, at least not in this description.
As for Hiei’s blade, it’s been able to easily cleave through demons early on in the series and can even be infused with the Darkness Flame Dragon for higher effectiveness. CIS keeps him from using this unless absolutely necessary though, as was the case in the Sensui fight. Well, same goes for his Darkness Flame techniques actually but he did later on achieve full control over it.

The CIS was mostly gone by the end of the series when there was virtually no risk of damage. He just never really NEEDED it against weaker enemies was the thing. Or in the case of the Shigure fight he was out of juice and was incapable of using it.
