What if…Yoda had become a Sith, not a Jedi?

Strong with the Force, Would he be?
Would Vader ever come to power, since Yoda would challenge or even suppress him?
Would the Jedi council be as strong?
Would other Siths instead be Jedi’s?

He would surpass starkiller with the use of the force.

Yoda could most probably beat vader down stopping him from going to power.

Losing a Jedi is a hefty loss for the concil and since yoda is a master They would be weaker.

Once you are tainted by the dark side you cannot go back.

Yoda will challenge Palpatine for the title of Dark Lord of the Sith, which he will probably win.

Are we talking about him switching sides in the new trilogy, or never having been a Jedi? Because if he would’ve been a Sith in the beginning, the Sith would’ve kicked the Jedi ass in the war Windu and him mentioned back in episode 2, it was? Also, he would’ve killed Anakin on the spot just because he might’ve been the guy to bring balance.

Well, I think Yoda would’ve led the Sith to victory over the Jedi centuries before the events of the movies(he is 900+ years old) and likely rule the entire galaxy for hundreds of years. I think he would also sense the birth(or maybe even before his birth) of Anakin Skywalker and would probably order dozens of Sith padawans(possibly Palpatine is one of them) to hunt down and kill Anakin. If Anakin is found by any living Jedi, they would race to get to him first, and attempt to train him to lead a Jedi uprising(which would likely fail due to Yodas forsight). BUT, considering how wise Yoda is, he would probably try to train Anakin himself as a Sith from a young age and use him until he becomes a threat(that is…if he even does in this timeline).

flyboy51 i completely agree with you but anakin is the chosen one so even if he was trained as a sith he would eventualy kill yoda and bring balance to the force and he even does when he is vadar by killing palpatine. and if yoda did train him anakin would be more powerful than ever because he would have been trained to his ful potientail instead of being held back by the jedi. anakin would probaly after killing yoda would be hurt badly and become VADER again. he would some how meet his wife (can’t remember her name at the moment) and have luke and leiah and luke would eventualy kill vader or maybe without the teaching of yoda luke could fall to the dark side and then rule the galasky father and son……..well untill luke kills vader for the rank of dark lord only to be killed by a jedi leah who gets trained by some random jedi more than likely obiwan somehow don’t know how but it would happen. so in all the universe would eventually get back to the original storyline in a couple centuries – ben and mara jade skywalker would be gone too-

I don’t think Anakin would ever be born, lol. Yoda is 900 years old, so if he was evil he would kill whoever the guy was who made that prophecy and the entire Skywalker bloodline.

maybe the “chosen one” could be born in another manifestation other than Anakin…maybe another Jedi or a different alien…or, how about this: A SITH TURNED JEDI. idk, but have we ever seen that in the SW universe before? from what ive seen its always the other way around…

Revan was a Sith but he saved the Republic, defeated Malak, preserved or rebuilt its infrastructure where he could then left known space to fight the Sith Empire. Also, with your character in KOTOR II you can have been Sith during the Mandalorian wars but become a Jedi again and Atton can go from having been a Sith Assasin to being a Jedi Sentinel so it would seem to be possible. There is also Vaders change of heart at the end when he is dying and he reverts to being Anakin and becomes a Force Ghost.

space marine in the very last star wars movie anakin skywalker turned away from the darkside and he killed thousands of jedi also thousands of years before the jedi exile convinced sion to give up his anger and hatred allowing himself to die by giving up the dark side and flyboy51 darth plagueis the wise created anakin from the the force conciving him from nothing but midi-chlorians so yoda would have to kill him plus darth plagueis’s apprentice darth sideous would join him in fighting yoda so yoda might win or they might have killed him. but yoda could convince both of them to help him train an army of sith make sure they don’t all kill each other and conquer the republic than some sith betray’s him hee dies and like the sith lord exar kun his empire would split up and fight amongst themselves than an army of rebels led by jedi that weren’t killed or turned to the darkside and would kill all of the sith lords

First of all, Anakin was born because Palpatine influenced the midiclorians in Ms. Skywalker to create life.
Second, if Yoda was a sith, he would beat the shit out of Palpatine and even then would be ruling the galaxy with his little green fist as soon as he became a sith master.

Actually, in some comic in expanded universe. Count Dooku actually discussed this possibility. As he fought with Yoda, and mocked him, Yoda showed him just how much control he has over his own spirit and use of The Force when he gave Dooku just a glimmer of the darkside that tempts him all the time, but he resists.

Count Dooku gave a big speech about how he was so certain of himself, and his control over the darkside, but when he saw just a breif glimpse of Yoda as a potential sith, he realized he knew nothing, and was merely being spared a demise he could not fathom. And he admitted to himself he was wrong about trying to allure powerful jedi to the darkside. Because the entire galaxy would be in grave danger if Yoda EVER gave into it.

And then Dooku shat himself. Actually that’s not canon, but I figured that would’ve been appropriate.
