An interesting mecha battle here. It would seem that the Warhound would have the advantage in this match. While the Scarab packs a nice punch, it has limited maneuverability.
How do you think this battle would play out?

No contest, one shot from the plasma blastgun and the Scarab would be a smoldering pile of metallic slag….
Scarabs are formidable but against the mere scout titans of the Imperium they are massively outgunned, out armored and are just plain short….
Tho wither this is an Imperium titan or a Chaos titan (as depicted) shouldn’t make too much of a difference depending on the level of chaotic taint….
If find it funny how the smallest and weakest of the known Titans, still outclasses the Scarab in both height and strength; and yet is as nimble as a Ballet dancer in comparison to the clumsy Covenant equivalent.
Even its shielding is somewhat formidable and a combination assault from its Plasma Blastgun and Vulcan Mega-Bolter would wither the opposition to super-heated scrap in short order. Although this seems somewhat excessive when a Warhound merely has to approach the Scarab and beat it into submission with its titanic fists of fury.
Warhound calls his big brother Warlord for a big time ROFLSTOMP!
….Not that baby-Warhound needed it.
Warhhound, no contest. I don’t play MGS but I just know that the scarab is weak in halo 3.
“Warhhound, no contest. I don’t play MGS but I just know that the scarab is weak in halo 3.”
Wow, MGS? Really?
Wait! Not MGS! I can’t think of the game. Uhh… I got nothing. what games it from?
they both get beaten by nothing because you cant not be nothing when there is nothing to beat so nothing pwns all but second place would be the warhound : D
Also i would like to see a dual between eragon and a rider of pern.
Warhammer 40,000; more specifically a Warhound Scout Titan of one of the many Titan legions. This one is armed with a Vulcan Mega Bolter and a Plasma Blastgun (which seems “standard” for Warhounds)
The one depicted is a Chaos titan tributed to what appears to be Chaos Undivided (since there is no telltale sign of the major chaos gods being an influence save the sickly brown hinting at Nurgle), but plenty of Warhounds are Imperium-loyalists. Considering roughly half the Adeptus Mechanicis (and thus Titan Legions) turned traitor during the Horus Heresy it could be said that equal amounts of both remain.
[/tangent]
Yup. The Warhound ROFLSTOMPS!!!!!!!!! The scarab down and half-crushes it and it cannot get up again.
………And then the warhound ROFLSTOMPS!!!!!!!!!!! It again.
Wait! Not MGS! I can’t think of the game.
Warhammer 40000.
ANY MORE HALO FANBOYS?
I don’t think so.
Scarabs aren’t even that strong anyway so this shouldnt be to tough to beat at all for the warhound.
“This thread surely is swarming with W40k”
You may be right. There are very few things that can match 40K’s epicness. That means that you need to counter-flood the battle requests with non-40K stuff.
That, or get on the 40K Love Boat! *wink*
Which Scarab is it? The hunter piloted Digging pansy scarabs of Halo 3 or the super indestructible Attack scarab from halo 2? The H3 one i give 5 minutes while the h2 scarab may have a chance.
The warhound has two advantages, it’s got a slight edge in raw firepower and doesn’t sucumb to shock as easily as the scarab.
The scarab has slightly better balence than the warhound.
say what you will, but the AdMech knows their war machines.

You know, I so missed the super indestructible engine of death from Halo 2. When I saw the Halo 3 scarabs, I nearly cried.
There not super engines of death the scarab of halo 2 was meant orginally for mining which is why the plasma beam was more powerful in halo 2. The halo 3 ones were actually meant for war which is why it has better guns. The halo 2 scarab was bigger and could only be destroyed from the inside and could’nt be stunned thats it.
this obviously isn’t an imperial warhound it’s a chaos one what is it called because I always wanted to buy one for my chaos army
Are we even debating who would win this fight anymore?
Nope we aren’t
Is it a Scarab or a Super Scarab (Scarab from Halo 2) Super Scarab is Deadly and can take alot more punishment, but even ten im not sure if the Heavy mining laser on a Scarab is strong enough to kill a Titan. I dont know id probly give it to Warhound
I have NO idea what the hell that thing is that’s fighting the scarab, I certainlty would want to be NOWHERE on it’s bad side, or in it’s range of fire….
“Is it a Scarab or a Super Scarab (Scarab from Halo 2) Super Scarab is Deadly and can take alot more punishment”
WTF are you talking about WRAITH? The Scarab on HALO 2 was a weak PoS compared to the battle and combat scarabs as in HALO 3, H3:ODST and HALO: Reach.
Get that fake info outta here.
Well in gameplay it was invincible… And the Super Scarab from Halo Wars was pretty tough. And the main weapon vaporized pretty much everything in front of it.
It wasn’st invincible in gameplay. It was destroyed by the Master Chief. A scorpion shooting a few times at it’s “face” it’s going to face anything.
The only reason it was implied as invincle was because they has no means of taking it down.
It was simply an explorer scarab. HALOpedia.
That was a superscarabs beam so yes it would destroy everything in front of it, it took upwards of 1.8-2 seconds to destroy the Scoprion, every other scarab destroys scoprions INSTANTLY.
This would be the 2nd most EPIC!! fight in warhammer40k vs. halo. It would probably tie with a mutually assured destruction of both. However, the Scarab will probably die first (no Shields), and probably reactor failure for the Warhound (Scarab’s main gun the cause.)
@Paramedic in gameplay, as in when actually moving the Chief you couldn’t destroy it, and it didn;t even explode in the cutscene,
.
@Tau no, the Scarab simply pops with one shot, and its weapons hit the Warhounds shields and does almost nothing. We have examples of Scarabs going down to exploding fuel trucks.
I’l side with Warhound.
