Third time’s a charm I guess as we bring this ‘bonus’ match to the site. It *seems* that if the Chief can hold up for 60 seconds, he may have a slim chance of victory…
…or does he?

admin.
That was an interesting take for using the duration timer of the Dawn of War Necron Lord ability.
no
MC would not last even fractions of one of those 60 seconds against the actual C’Tan.
THANK-you for putting up my request!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Nightbringer IS Death. The Nightbringer can just look at him and he would die.
He would kill him either using his scythe or his gaze of death,or……his etheric tempest that would hurl the MC into the core of the planet and kill him.
You cannot hope to defeat death!
Lemme see, In the board game, The NB is…
___
S10
Ws6
BS4
T8
W5
I4
A5
Ld10
That makes him hard as nails.
Am I The only necron fan here?
“Am I The only necron fan here?”
…no…
currently im looking into building a necron army…they seem to be extremly good and i havent seen a reason yet not to get them.
Thier ONLY weakness is thier phase-out rule.
When 75% of necron classed units is destroyed the army phases out giving the enemy a victory.
Although, It is hard to do that because Of them getting back up and you can have heaps of we’ll be back rolls.
First, lets put it in perspective. 40k game mechanics do not translate very well when compared to other universes. Hell, it doesnt translate well when compared to 40k canon.
The NB is a C’Tan. A GOD in 40k. The Necrons fashioned their necrodermis in a way that would be able to act as a material vessel for these beings. C’Tan power is FAR superior in canon to their table-top counterparts.
MC doesn’t stand a chance, but it is not because of the Nightbringer’s stats…

On a side note.
I generally don’t have any trouble beating Necrons with my Khornate list. They are indeed a great army (I have about 1000-ish points of em for $hits and giggles). Their flaw comes in their lack of veriety available for good, functioning lists.
Effective lists, the ones that generally give me problems, are their crazy teleportation armies. A list full of Immortals, Warriors, one Monolith, and two lords with the Veil always gives a hard time to anybody.
The only way I can generally deal with those is having the way broken winged Daemon Prince with Mark of Slaanesh and Lash of Submission.
Is this a joke will you people stop putting mc vs things so powerfull that all thay need do to do is look at him and he dies…
Hey alex i will kill your necrons Chaos will win!
@Mata
Yes, But thats in battles where stupid fools just buy warriors and destroyers, It gives them no Flexability.
A necron army works like a machine,as said in the codex, Pariahs and flayed ones are a deadly tag team(flayed ones visage and pariahs souless rule.
Also tomb spyders that help the main line with the lords with other failed ressurection rolls.
Wraiths are good to ensnare any that get a bit too close to the main line,
Destroyers are good for the flanks and finally.
(love them) Scarab swarms, They can tie up heavy weapons and kill them in 2 turns And if you equip them with disruption fields they are great dreadnought killers.
Does the C’tan eat stars for breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner, and supper?
Doesn’t the C’tan eat stars for breakfast? I need some confirmation.
Yes. Yes they do.
They are known as the star vampires.
Well, they did but they found that the stars had no flavour to satisfy them with,
______________
Codex exerpt.
THE RISE OF THE OLD ONES.
Just as the stars gave birth to creatures fitting thier ilk, so the planets eventually gave rise to life which began the long climb to sentience. First to cross the sea of stars was a race of beings called the old ones. They possessed a slow, cold-blooded wisdom, studying the stars and raising astrology and astronomy to an arcane science. Their understanding of the slow dance of the universe allowed them to manipulate alternate dimensions and they undertook great works of psychic engineering.
Their science allowed them to cross vast gulfs of space with a step and they spread their spawn to many places. The old ones knew all life was usefull, and where they passed they kindled new species and impregnated thousands and thousands of worlds to make them thier own.
I havent got the hands to type all of it, But this is basicly how the cta’n stopped feeding on stars.
The very star under which the Necron’tyr race lived their brief, morbid livesgave birth to the vast sun-spanning energy that was the Nightbringer. In their quest for a weapon to defeat the old ones, The Necron’tyr turned to the mighty coalesent energy feeding within the photosphere of their star. The first of the Cta’n to manifest across the incorpereal starlight bridge, The Nightbringer brought with it the curse of death That had plagued the Necron’tyr race since thier birth.
Having fed on the sustaining, but flavourless power of a star, the Nightbringer found the epicurean delights of the Necron’tyr’s awe and fear much more to it’s liking and slaughtered those who had brought it into being, feeding on the essence of their terror. It’s appetite knew no bounds and only with desperate pledges from the Necron’tyr with servitude they convinced the Nightbringer that they had summoned forth that there were more races beyond thier world that could be feasted upon- species beyond number for it to destroy.
Soon after, the Necron’tyr awoke the power of many more star gods, becoming thier willing servants in the war against the old ones. Like the other star-gods, The Nightbringer craved worshippers and slaves, though many of servants descended into murderous insanity, unable to withstand the horrifying, bloodthirsty visions its presence brought on. Weaned on by a diet of slaughter, nothing else could satisfy his hunger, It eagerly threw its-self into the war between the Old ones and the Necron’tyr, Laying waste to entire regions of space in the name of its monsterous appetite.
The Nightbringer wouldnt need to do anything but be there and MC would go mad and kill himself.
Okay thanks.
Anyway, this match is kind of stupid, cos’ Master Chief stands no chance at all.
Fabulous! thanks for using for using the duration timer of the Dawn of War Necron Lord ability.

I agree with the second comment. NB could just look at him and he would die. I bet you that at least one MC fan boy will try to make MC win.
Er sry Space marine Get your facts strait the nightbringer is not death ( he looks like the grim reaper but is not) he is just god of the necrons ( i want to see the nightbringer v.s the deciever Now thats a fight) but no the nightbringer would win no doubt
WRONG!
And this God just happens to be the God of death, He is Death Manifestation.
My facts Are straight, It was from the Necron CODEX.
Wait * looks at his CODEX* CRAP … fine you win but do you think he would win agenst the deciever.
Wait * looks at his CODEX* CRAP … fine you win but do you think he would win agenst the deciever.
Yes. He is the weakest of the Ctan
master chief could definatly NOT defeat the c’tan, even the version that manifested in a necrodermis body.
however, in the ultramarine novels, uriels team and an inquisitor managed to survive an encounter (im pretty sure they scared it off)
so, if the chief survived long enough, he might be able to force it into fleeing or fleeing himself (presuming he didnt go nuts)
…
or he could capture a psyker or use warp based weapons. (the eldar would be present in the event of a c’tan awakening.)
NOW THE VOID DRAGON! if he faced that!
number 1: cortana would go mad (again) and rebel against him
number 2: the mjolnir armour would stop working
number 3: basically ALL of his technology would turn against him.
The Nightbringer would look at him and MC’s head would explode…..no contest…ever….against anything ever….
How about lord of change vs nightbringer since the lord of change can’t just be looked at and die.
Manifisation of Death vs MC….I nominate Nightbringer for the FP award.
– pondering fool
Wow…. this is one-sided.
I second the nomination for the Nightbringer. Another complete defeat for MC against an opponent well out of his league.
MC is way too overrated. The Nightbringer? Heck, this ones plain mean, Chief will die in no time at all. You don’t fight a being who is a god and doubles as the manifestation of death. You just don’t do that.
@i dunno: That doesn’t count. This event occurred when his tomb was cracked open after 60 million years. He hadn’t eaten for 60 FUCKIN’ MILLION YEARS. Yet he was way outta the Ultramarines league. They scared him off because they had a melta bomb that could quickly bring a few thousand tonnes of rock and minerals down on their heads. And being trapped a few million years extra is not good when it’s that much time since you got a meal.
These days, Nightbringer is well nourished and thrives on killing scores of Space Marines with no trouble. And a bog standard Marine is far more than Chief will ever be.
I don’t even wanna nominate ‘bringer, the match is FAR too unbalanced and one sided.
I wonder why MC has all these ridiculous fights against cosmically powerful beings? Do the people who request these matches even think about the relative power levels of the two before they suggest ‘em?
lol, its just funny to see the MC fanboys try too hard and burst there blood vessels.
1 point for NB!
dont get necrons! bloodletters stop rebuild, one herald of nurgle (100 pt) fought off 6 warriors, masque has save of 3+, using pavane i could dance people away
and neither win, suddenly masque teleports in with great unclean one, who is in fact Ku’ Gath! and spews chaos! and nurglings crawl outa him (on a roll of 4+) backed by Skulltaker!
I’ve seen some one-sided MC matches on this site, but the NIGHTBRINGER, this is such a massive LOLHAXROFLSTOMP that it isn’t even funny. I wonder just how many MC’s we have had crushed into paste on this site.
