All things considered, this might give MC some trouble. Ridley is no pushover and has a nice arsenal of weapons to use to go against the Chief.
Although it’d be a tough battle, I think in the end, MC pulls out the victory.
What do you think?
Interesting. This is a fairly realistic match-up. I dont see either as having too many obvius advantages over the other. Ridley has superior maneuverability, but I dont see how 117 might not find something to use for his advantage. Even a couple well placed rockets might bring the fight to a more even keel.
I think Im gonna go and say MC can win this.
That is, of course, assuming Ridley doesnt drop MC into an active volcano before he dies…
Seeing as to how Kirby and Meta Knight can beat him, MC
Well i am going to say this
The MC is standing looking away while talking to cortana And then all of a sudden BANG!!! He gets pushed over and he gets his energy sword and rocket launcher stolen from him. The thief turns and aims the rocket at the stunned MC and fires.
MC is like WHAT THE FU-BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!!!!!!
MC would be killed no the spot
Hey Space Marine,
Master Chief’s armor weight close to 2000 lbs and he has a pulsing motion tracker….no one would sneak up on him….
Yeah. Pulsing i know. I’ve played halo before.
But the tracker is kinda stupid with the motion of it.
1 beep he see’s next one its right next to him.
2 “his armour is close to 2000 lbs.”
Well thats really bad for his posture and hieght.
ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
sorry, i lol’d so much at that comment, wow, lmfao!!!!!!
yeah. lol, I was laughing while I was writing that.
samus beat ridley and then he came back as meta ridley so yea chief and samus are pretty good but im thinkin chief can win this, but ridley has a good chance too
Ridley would fire a laser beam at MC’s face than gnaw on the dead body
This is a tough one. Samus has less skill than Master Chief, but more advanced technology and she has enough trouble beating Meta Ridley for Nintendo Power to call winning the battle “harder than college”. I think Chief is superior to Samus due to one factor, he’s lucky. So MC wins.
if samus can beat ridley, mc can
Ridley(especially Meta Ridley) is way tougher than any of the enemy’s from Halo, Master Chief would have a very hard time beating him and although Samus always can Samus is quite a lot more powerful then Master Chief.
stop saying MC is lucky!! That doesn’t and shouldn’t count!! Samus has luck too!! She was saved by what was meant to be her target a split second before being vaporized by a gigantic mechanical brain that had her pinned to a wall!! Sorry about all the exclamation marks. With normal Ridley, MC might have a decent chance, but Meta Ridley has extremely durable Armour plating, which is yet to be seen damaged. Ridley’s only weak spot is the unprotected inside of his mouth, which, being a highly intelligent being, I’m sure he could keep closed outside of attacking from it if he wanted to. Even if MC managed to severely damage him, even ripping off limbs, with access to some cells or corpses, Ridley could regenerate. MC wouldn’t stand a chance against Omega Ridley, hell, even Samus wouldn’t if he had been fully completed. This battle would either end quickly, with Ridley impaling MC with his tail (yes I think it could destroy his shield and go through his armour) or be really awesome, with lots of explosions etc Either way I think Ridley could win, as his almost invulnerable outer shell is reinforced by armour, and he has superior maneuverability as well as overwhelming firepower and bloodlust, able to take out an entire platoon of marines singlehandedly with ease
Scarab Gun from halo 2 puts everyone down except god people and kirby
Just for extra awesome, let’s give Chief a banshee. Aerial fight FTW!
Also, to clear things up, Meta Ridley is armed with plasma breath, missile launchers, bombs,- Well, acually he’s pretty much Samus in space dragon form. He’s a big fan of fly-by attacks, too. But don’t forget the weak point on his chest.
If Ridley’s plasma beam attacks are anywhere near as powerful as a spartan laser (probably true) than Chief goes bye bye and so does his banshee
MC would win big time just get a Plasma grenade on Meta ridleys head….Boom and a ridleys head is on the ground
Ehhh, the only problem with “MC winning” is that he is going to die from 2 rockets. And there’s no way he is going to kill Ridley before he gets hit from even aoe damage of ridley’s barrage of explosions.
Ridley has bomb and missile launchers. I have spent many many hours trying to escape bomb and missile launcher related deaths on Halo.
just some sparten lasers And A few rockets TaDah
By RandomRage 8 years old Xbox360 acount is m chang
By the time the spartan laser has gone
Ridley would have blasted MC to oblivion and eaten his corpse (which he has a tendency to do).
All Meta Ridley has to do is keep his mouth closed
If Samus could already humiliate the Chief in combat and Meta Ridley gave Samus some trouble, then Mc has no chance here. Sorry halo fanboys.
yea, Ridley can also be pretty clever. He can swoop out of nowhere, impale MC with his tail, knock him off a cliff, swoop at him at high speeds ect. With plasma breath and barrages of rockets at his disposal, Ridley could literally destroy an entire perimeter where MC could be.
chief will knock away rockets with a gravity hammer easily maybe even redirect them.
I thought his chest was his weak point?
Spartan lazers take 3 seconds to fire and a hit to ridley’s chest would knock a quarter of his health and a lazer has 5 shots so chief can win. If he stays in the bubble shield while ridley does fly-by’s chief could come out and shoot when turns around for another run. If ridley tries to impale chief a gravity hammer is gonna remove his tale (of course he’ll regenerate it back but at least ridley will know head on attacks with his tail won’t work).
knock him off a cliff? Chief survived falling from 2 killiometers. I don’t think a cliff fall will even hurt him.
If Samus could already humiliate the Chief in combat and Meta Ridley gave Samus some trouble, then Mc has no chance here. Sorry halo fanboys
being as your a metriod fanboy I’ll say it slowly. Chief ……. still following ….. will ……. rip samus apart …… in …… hand to hand …..so there ……. is little hope ……for….. ridley
Ridley(especially Meta Ridley) is way tougher than any of the enemy’s from Halo
scarab’s and gravemind beg to differ. a gravemind can teleport himself and others, a gravemind also can never truly die unless the whole hive is killed since he is a psychic being as well as a physical one. If he dies he would have a bunch body’s piled up and form it then possess it and gravemind is back and hes pissed, gravemind is a pure flood which means he needs to be 100% destroyed to be killed and hes a walking building who spits out infection forms at will.
scarab plasma cannons were made originally for mining like in the opening of alien vs predator so that alone puts meta ridley’s armorments to shame and it has 3 plasma turrets another plasma gun on it’s back and always has a heavily armed crew
My God, this guy is still an idiot. And I thought there was hope for him…
Meta-Ridley fires 12 missiles when he uses his launcher. Even with a gravity hammer, MC can’t block all of them. If the Chief stayed in a bubble shield, then Ridley would land and proceed to rip him apart.
Ridley’s weak point is indeed his chest, but he moves to fast for any kind of accuracy and is frequently crouched too low for anything to hit his chest. It requires a shot to the mouth to stun Ridley long enough to get a shot at his chest. And even though Ridley’s chest plate is thinner than his other armor, it’s still really tough. I doubt a spartan laser could do any critical damage.
By the way, Samus’s unarmed combat is likely equal to the Chief’s, what with the Chozo and Metroid DNA plus genetic enhancements and mechanical implants. But seriously, MC cannot stand up to a giant Space Dragon in melee combat.
Also, Ridley vs. Gravemind? Plasma breath can incinerate Flood down to the cells. No Flood that I know of can fly, either, so carpet bombing is another of Ridley’s options.
As for the Scarab, it could never even hit Ridley. He’s seriously fast. His claws rip through any metal, and that tail of his is better. He’d tear through the Scarab’s armor, and then probably rip it’s cannon off to use for himself.
What you need to remember is that Ridley is SMART. He will use effective tactics, and back off if something isn’t working. Bombing an entire area is one of his favorites for a reason: he’s too fast to be hit with ranged weapons, and he doesn’t have to go into melee range. MC is finished.
“I thought his chest was his weak point?”
I believe it was his chest in the earlier Prime games, but I’m more of an old school Metroid buff, and back then his mouth was the sweet spot.
Plus we have to remember, because of the new info we have thanks to Skrunks, Metroid and it’s characters have been bumped up to the terrawatt level. They not only deal out this devastating firepower, but obviously need this type of firepower delt on them to do any signifigant damage. I thought we made this clear to our friend on the Covie vs Space Pirate thread…
Even without the Terawatt figure Meta-Ridley still takes an absurd amount of damage.
The above video shows Meta-Ridley taking 20 missiles and loosing only about 25% of his life bar. John simply cannot carry enough ammo of high power weapons (even if they were of equal power to Missiles in the Metroid games) to take down Meta-Ridley.
The Brute Shot is too weak and has far too limited ammo (24).
The Spartan Laser has far too large of a charge time to be very usefull and poor battery life (5).
The Fuel Rod Cannon has the rapid fire needed to do something similar to the video, but its max ammo is 30; not enough to kill Ridley. The Fuel Rod Cannon isn’t as strong as other weapons though.
The Rocket Launcher packs a good punch but only holds 10 rockets, and they are dumb fire and slow.
The Missile Pod has tracking and punch, but either makes John immobile with unlimited ammo or just slow with extremely limited ammo (8 missiles).
John’s best chances are with the Missile Pod, Rocket Launcher, and Fuel Rod Cannon, or the MP, RL, and Spartan Laser. Unfortanatly he still cannot carry enough firepower with him to take down Meta-Ridley.
That is assuming that those weapons can even deal similar damage to Samus’s Missiles, which in turn show similar damage inflicted range compared to multi-terawatt weapons. With the power gap then even John’s entire arsenal mixed together isn’t enough firepower without having to pick up extra ammo during the fight.
Meta-Ridley not only can beat John, but he can litterally sit still and take everything John can shoot at him.
If John decides to attack in close range… well… I don’t think John’s armor is as powerful as space ship hull. Meta-Ridley’s claws cause similar damage to his other attacks, so… yeah. Meta-Ridley can set the range of the battle and just attack from afar too.
ironically, chief’s best bet is to use melee attacks, but one mistake and a razor sharp tail through his body and the match is set.
I’d picture Meta-Ridley chuckling evilly as he slowly disembowels every single Spartan in his squad. Then picks MC apart piece by piece. He’s sick like that.
Seeing a melee match between the two would be kind of interesting. On the one hand anything Ridley does would at least nearly kill John in a single hit if John doesn’t avoid it altogether, but on the other hand John’s strength could actually resist Ridley to a point.
I mean even Samus, who isn’t known for feats of strength, can keep Ridley’s mouth open (MP3:C cutscene) even though Ridley’s mouth is similar to that of a crocodile and croc mouths can have a lot of power when they are closing. … Did I just prove that Samus is really strong?
I think it would be funny to see John trying to wrangle Ridley Crocomire Hunter style. (10 points to whoever gets the referance right)
“I’d picture Meta-Ridley chuckling evilly as he slowly disembowels every single Spartan in his squad. Then picks MC apart piece by piece. He’s sick like that.”
After killing MC’s squad mates, Ridley claws himself in the chest, then eats the bodies to regenerate the damage . He’d force MC to watch while holding him in his tail.
“Is this,” Ridley asked as he pointed to his chest, “Officer Kelly? Or possibly Keyes?”
Sorry to one-up you, Skrunks, but Ridley is seriously evil.
You just made my day.
“Did I just prove that Samus is really strong?”
I believe in the Samus vs MC duel Samus was said to be about roughly 50 times stronger than a human being, as she could jump 50 times higher and the Chozo DNA she contains was equally spread throughout her body.
Although the theory makes sense, I saw the figures as a bit of a stretch, as Samus frequently uses jump upgrades. Naturally, she can jump maybe 10-15 times higher than an average human, which would suggest she’s 10-15 times stronger. Hard to tell though.
And yes I did get the Crocomire Hunter reference… Should I be happy or ashamed?
A Halo character against a Metroid character? Instant curbstomp, and not in favor of Halo.
All right let’s just make this clear: John can’t hurt him! If it was every Spartan-I, Spartan-II, and Spartan-III against Ridley, it’d be the same result. Ridley wins. BTW, did ya’ll know Sergeant Johnson is a Spartan-I? That explains why he’s so awesome! He’d still lose against Ridley though. Just to reiterate: TERAWATT!
Meta ridley is a famous boss, known for his aggresion, weaponry, brutallity, lack of mercy, and his speed and leader ship to pirates. He is very powerful and would probably blast chief to a wall with his bombs and then smoke him with his plasma beam, Meta ridley also has a killer bad bite and will probably bite MC in half before destroying him. So if your an MC lover, he has no skill to go up against such an enemy, plus he could summon aerotroopers from out of nowhere to maul the chief. so im voting for ridley
These are all good points to their own degree. I believe that is is unfair however, to put Halo and Metroid into a contest like this. The tech is just too different. What i think part of MC’s problem is though, is that it seems that he is limited to the same arena that Ridley and Samus fought. While still almost overwhelmingly likely that Ridley would skewer MC, a change in terrain might provide him with the boost he needs. It should also probably be taken into account that luck does matter to some degree, and MC is a lucky SOB. I also read something about MC being unskilled. Far from truth. *sigh* Where is Deadliest Warrior when you need them?
and why wasn’t Ridley given the fp award?
or was it too easy and he didn’t deserve the award?
If MC can get a good hit(s) with a:
If MR can get couple clean shots, Chief is screwed. His armor and strength will help if all else fails. Chief for the award. If he gets a longtail, he’ll win easier.
“If MR can get couple clean shots, Chief is screwed. His armor and strength will help if all else fails. Chief for the award. If he gets a longtail, he’ll win easier.”
I hope you’re kidding…
“If MC can get a good hit(s) with a:
ooh! i opened up the debate again!
“If MC can get a good hit(s) with a:
ok, if weapons from halo are already proven to not hurt Samus, then why would weapons like that hurt Ridley (who is much more durable than Samus)
Close combat with Ridley will Certainly be the most stupid thing the Spartan ever does.
his armour and strength are pussy compared to Ridley, he can sit there shooting Ridley with duel scarab guns for a year.
now then, Ridley has many weapons at his disposal and his meta upgrades have made him all the more deadly.
his sheer strength alone is more than enough to crush Chief and his tail is sharp enough to impale the spartan.
his next main weapon will be his kinetic breath weapon, now i was just watching the meta ridley battle and i saw him do a quick fly-by and hit samus with his breath. it done 61 units of heath. now then Samus did have additional shielding on so if we take away the damage reduction we are left with 153 units of health, this breath wasn’t on Samus for more than a second. so Ridley dished out 153 damage in less than a second, that is really impressive.
Next up is his multi-missile system, it fires six (judged by eyesight) missiles at a target, seeing that Chief is smoked by a single missile, this is really bad news for Chief.
covering most of his weapons (i have definitely left out a few) i vote Meta Ridley for the BankGambling award (which he should have got ages ago)
in fact any Boss / Mini-boss from metroid should be able to take out John.
the only thing is see him killing is possibly the Torizo from super metroid and even then his Chances are very slim.
“covering most of his weapons (i have definitely left out a few) i vote Meta Ridley for the BankGambling award (which he should have got ages ago)”
This is way too easy for Ridley to win an FP so unfortunately we probably won’t be seeing one here. Same goes for any Metroid boss MC might somehow end up fighting/is already up against. Heck, I’m surprised no one’s even suggested a MC vs Sidehopper match yet then again that’d probably be brutal.
The actual Japanese sub seemed a whole lot creepier. Then again I guess I’m more biased against dubs more than anything.
“This is way too easy for Ridley to win an FP so unfortunately we probably won’t be seeing one here. Same goes for any Metroid boss MC might somehow end up fighting/is already up against. Heck, I’m surprised no one’s even suggested a MC vs Sidehopper match yet then again that’d probably be brutal.”
lol i guess that you’re right
Eh, John could probably kill more metroid sub-bosses than one might think.
Think about a lot of the earlier ones in MP1 and MP2, I mean how many could he just walk up, evade a quick attack and simply rip its head off? I don’t see the morph ball bomb slug thing in MP2 causing too much trouble as the chief would be more than skilled enough to dodge all of them. Organic bosses like these could be taken by the chief in physical strength alone.
But when you start putting tech bosses, i.e. pirates, Ridley, Quadraxis etc., Chief’s chances start dropping by orders of magnitude as he has to play whatever cards he has absolutely perfectly just to stay in the game.
Although I’m tempted to say that he has a small chance against an Elite Pirate for the simple reason that they are so frigging slow AND stupid. And if chief could take the metroid level rocket-launcher off of him…
Oops, wrong debate! Meta-Ridley for the obvious win.
Agreed for the win.
I think Master Chief might be able to take on Arachnus-X (I’ve only ever played Metroid Fusion, so I don’t really know any of the other minor bosses well), if it weren’t for the Core-X that would mean death for John. If one x-parasite touches him, he will have the same problem Samus did at the beginning of Fusion.
Master Chief has this. If he’s able to take down a covenant scarab, then he can take down a metal dragon.
There is a massive difference between a Slow, Limited field of fire Scarab, and a hyper-speedy ship ripping Space Dragon.
You think Chief might need good Sequel Upgrades and a Scarab Gun or two, just to have a shot against that thing?
I think Rids’ may actually be fast enough to dodge the shots once he sees how powerful it is; and I know for a fact he won’t just fly in a straight line at Chief with his Mouth wide open.
He’d probably play it safe and blow Chief’s area to kingdom come with artillery, then go snack on whatever toasty bits are left.
I wonder how Scarab Gun shots would fare against Ridley’s plate?
They’re going to have to fare better than the majority of Halo Weaponry, seeing as how they can punch through a Covenant Scarab Tank or two, just fine.
I just realized that I’m necroing. Better stop b4 kenny tears out my esophagus.
Necroing matches is not bad so long as useful information is added.
If spam is the only thing added then necroing is frowned upon.
“I just realized that I’m necroing. Better stop b4 kenny tears out my esophagus.”
– As long as its on topic, I don’t care.
You think someone should have placed some thought in suggesting the match, to add the option for Chief to be armed with a Scarab Gun or two, to balance things out?
@Kenny the Deathtanker
Shite, its like saying Voldemort’s name. You speak it, and he suddenly appears.
Let us be glad that the Deathtanker is more merciful, alright?
That said, it generally pales in comparison to saying Kronos’ name, because with that, you say his name, he’ll get more powerful.
If you say it backwards, does he loose strength? sonork, sonork, sonork, sonork, sonork, sonork, sonork. Ad Infinateum.
A loaded question that i am not sure there’s any real answer towards, you do realize that, right?
Meantime, if Chief cannot have a chance to gun down a guy who can outmaneuver Wolverine, otherwise(even if the ammo hits!) what say you to arming Chief with a Scarab Gun?
1+ to arm Chief with at least one Scarab Gun.
“1+ to arm Chief with at least one Scarab Gun.”
How much of a difference would it make anyway?
I’m aware that I’m posting wiki information but the current things I’m referring to are cited well within the article. Looking under the damage yield of both the Banshee and the Pulse Laser Turret, they are cited to be under the kilowatt range in both Halo: The Flood (pg. 51) and Halo: Contact Harvest (pg. 27).
The Scarab Gun may deal more damage than a single Banshee shot, but I highly doubt it has the same power going for it as ship-grade weaponry. Despite that, get this: Samus’ Volt Driver is still at least 1,000,000,000 times more powerful than the range of the Pulse Laser Turret. This means that even if Chief had the Scarab Gun on his person, he’d still need at least a billion more shots to even take a small negligible chip out of Ridley’s defense. This is while Ridley is already zipping back and forth at a speed that Chief can hardly keep up with and can kill him with practically one attack.

Yeah, Halo vs. Metroid matches aren’t fun anymore.
“Yeah, Halo vs. Metroid matches aren’t fun anymore.”
They were to begin with? They were more like executions like Halo vs 40K.
Feel free to check out when i posted in the Alternate version of Space Pirates vs the Covenant, in which this time, the Space Pirates are currently limited to the numbers of forces shown in Prime 3 Corruption while the Covenant is at its prime.
The match got a lot more balanced, now.
At some point I would imagine that it was fun to shut up the rampant fanboys who had some semblance of intellect. I don’t really know if I should be glad or disappointed that I missed that entire era of the site or just in general.
Meh, the best day’s where when fanboys got hit by several Quadrillion Fucktons of Pure Ownage by L-W and Original A working together.
Case in point is the Covenant vs Space Pirates and Master Chief vs a Space Marine.
But still; there has to be somebody we could pit Rids’ against that would be worthwhile. Maybe we should finish up the Wolvie Vs Ridley Fight?
@Observer and Master Sarge
We definitely miss Doctor L-W(House Reference, much, i know!) if i have to be honest.
Did he die?
That match is done. Ridley burns Logan and tosses him into space where the lack of an atmosphere is going to continually burn his flesh and where he won’t be able to deal any effective damage. I think we already had a few nominations going for that.
Metroid used to be considered a lot lower on the totem pole before someone, whom I’m ashamed to admit I have forgotten his name, found the terawatt figure, and I later found some decent, lowball, FTL numbers and general territory reach, and then much later the Zebes gravity number.
Before all of that stuff was around, Metroidverse was not considered much more powerful than Halo.
If you look through the posts and the dates, in May 2009 even I considered melee to be a GOOD idea against RIDLEY!! Now with the Zebes numbers this is laughably the worst possible idea at all. And I remember that at that time the terawatt figure was only relatively recently discovered.
The most obvious evidence of all of this is that Mata’s first comment was that he thought this was a pretty even match. He is not being sarcastic; when this was posted, and by extension when it was suggested, this was thought to probably be fairly equal and fair… although slanted in Ridley’s favor due to him being able to fly and spam rockets.
It is surreal indeed when you think about how much things have changed.
Well, drat. There has to be somebody we can pit Ridley against!
@Messenger OriginalA and Master Sarge
When the group fight between the Campers of Camp Half-Blood(1st C.H.B series/Fable, though!) go up against all 4 of the best-known Space Pirate leaders(including Ridley, among them) i can actually bring up the fact of the matter that unless Ridley could escape from Hurricanes and the creations of Hekate managed to make sure the gravity feels to the 4 like its at least above 5 Gs(maybe higher, depending on how much Anachronism Stew is gonna be needed, here!) he’s going to be with the other 3 in the fight of their lives.
How does Ridley fare against Hurricanes, exactly?
Wasn’t it Skrunks that found that figure?
Ridley flies in SPACE without any assistance; that leads me to believe he can ignore air factors like windspeed.
And he flies perfectly well on the more than 850X gravity of Zebes, Kraid does his waddling thing just fine, Draygon doesn’t seem to mind it much, and Phantoon is a Ghost. I don’t think they can alter the gravity enough to affect them without killing their own people.
We might have to let the Captain sort out exactly what to do to complete the right stipulations to make sure the overall fighting is anywhere near fair(and hopefully if we’re lucky, to prevent Rids from twisting our emotional systems all over the place, in the process!) because otherwise, unless the gods managed to enhance the available residents and the Winged Steeds to withstand gravity expansions like these to prevent backfiring upon them(and the gods technically can do that!) i don’t think we may even have the chance to inflict Hellfire upon Phantoon, sadly(Hellfire’s the only thing that’ll get to the thing’s Intangibility long enough to open that eye!)
Meantime, its almost like there’s no point for Chief vs Rids unless the Sequel upgrades are enough to get Chief to get the Scarab Guns to hit Rids and allow Chief to do what Wolverine couldn’t do, for that matter.
jgjcntkhndckdffjjv bjhyylhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhfjjjjjyknhx, nyng,x.,
What in Tartatus/Warp just happened?
I don’t rightly know. My best guess is that it might be the sound Chief makes as he gets impaled through the rectum by Ridley’s tail.
They can’t change the gravity enough that it will hinder the Space Pirates. The maximum that they can go is 865.5G to make the Space Pirates move NORMALLY. If they did this they’d be crushed and unable to move or jump. Stomp match.
Back to the match at hand. I’d hate to repeat myself after making that post not even that long ago so go read it. Well apparently the post numbers aren’t up yet so it’s the post I made at 9:28.
This is assuming Chief isn’t armed with those Scarab Guns like he’s supposed to be and the Sequel Upgrades coming in Halo 4 will not be enough to bridge this gap, right?
I understand this; but it is a fairly good fight otherwise.
As i mentioned before, it depends on what stipulations the Captain has in store, to make sure the fighting is anywhere near fairly balanced, as they’d have to set a properly established field and see how far the enhancements in question should go.
Either way, if you’ll excuse me, i better warn Xeno Dimentio to ready evacuations of Aphy’s children, otherwise we’d be unable to prevent a hostage or slaughter situation, here.
P.S: would it make any real difference if the incarnations for the 4 in question would be the Super Metroid incarnations, where they’re less huger?
Kraid is just about at his hugEST in Super Metroid, and Phantoon doesn’t change much from Super to Other M.
“P.S: would it make any real difference if the incarnations for the 4 in question would be the Super Metroid incarnations, where they’re less huger?”
That’s just sprite limitations. They’re exactly the same size they are in other instances. That’s why the Ridley clone at Other M had much bigger wings than Ridley at Super Metroid even though the clone’s supposed to be a perfect one.
@GB and CC
Alright, I guess I’ll keep watch of the match when it gets posted.
Ouch…you mean someone might have been miscalculating on the size departments at least on Ridley?
And thanks, because depending on what else Captain Xeno Dimentio will unfold when the match gets posted, will pretty much determine how HEAVY must the enhancements + Anachronism Stew effects become, to make sure the Campers and the Winged Steeds have a shot in Tartarus against the 4, in particular.
Wasn’t it Skrunks that found that figure?”
After checking the BankGambling wiki… yes, yes it was.
“@Messenger OriginalA and Master Sarge
How does Ridley fare against Hurricanes, exactly?”
On Earth? He laughs at them and talks about the cool draft.
“Meantime, its almost like there’s no point for Chief vs Rids unless the Sequel upgrades are enough to get Chief to get the Scarab Guns to hit Rids and allow Chief to do what Wolverine couldn’t do, for that matter.”
No point in that either. With the Zebes number, Ridley is going to be pulling close to Mach 25 instantly from zero. If he bothers to accelerate more than that… *shrug*. The Chief is fast, but he can’t peg massively hypersonic targets with ease, and Ridley can easily play with the Chief as much as he wants since Ridley decides the terms of engagement.
“and Phantoon doesn’t change much from Super to Other M.”
Yes, he does.
Want you want to look at is the lower left image of Samus next to Phantoon. Those are their Super Metroid sprites.
Speaks for itself.
Derp. I was thinking of Nightmare for some reason; though he mostly just got hit with the nerf bat.
Yeah, Phantoon got huge.
Still, CHB have Gods on their side; that’s gotta count for something?
It does, and depending on whether or not Captain Xeno Dimentio would permit it or not, if there’s no other way to have a fighting chance otherwise, Special Circumstances would have to be in effect, not just in regards to Anachronism Stew(for the sake of weaponry and Gear) but also in insane levels of enhancements so extreme, that even the term EXTREME won’t cut it against these guys.
Not to mention against Phantoon, we’re gonna need Hellfire, lots and lots of Hellfire, here.
That said, the gods themselves are not permitted to take direct actions in the field, otherwise the Space Pirate Generals may wind up declaring total war on our planet as this process of Combat by Group Champions would be rendered null and void via direct interference.
*shows same kind of response shown to Xeno Dimentio in regards to the Other M incarnation of Phantoon*
How by all of Stonehedge does Phantoon continue to get huger and huger to the point you’d think he’d rival or even surpass Typhon, in size, eventually?
Well, the Manual for Super Metroid said he was feeding on the Energy of the Crashed Ship. He was just on a bigger ship, thus more energy, thus more potential to grow.
It could have been an entirely different Space Ghost, since Samus essentially killed the original Phantoon.
How do you know that Samus clearly killed the Original Phantoon and the thing didn’t manage to come back from the dead and just managed to become a mere Legacy Monstrosity, instead?
Do we even know WHAT sub-species for the Space Pirates that Phantoon hailed from, to begin with?
Well, you see Phantoon kind of unravel from existence, and there’s a reaction from his portion of the Golden Statue that would indicate something happened to him; but we really don’t know.
Honestly, I don’t like the idea of there being Two of those things, much less an entire species.
“Do we even know WHAT sub-species for the Space Pirates that Phantoon hailed from, to begin with?”
Actually… yeah… kinda.
Phantoon is a literal Space Ghost.
Samus killed a ghost… twice.
Who you gonna call?
CHAG-KUL’RIBAK TAB RII TOOOOOR!
Meantime-wise, given that Phantoon and others of his/her(/its?) ilk are most likely reality warpers of a high enough tier to either come back from the dead or just be very horribly nightmarish to imagine, its all the more reason why i must suggest that the Residents kill Phantoon with Hellfire, right there, really.
What was that, this time?
To Ridley, y’all!
Knights of Rammstein, regroup!
On the CHB vs Champs of Tourian, what incarnation of Regular! Ridley are we using? I was thinking either Super Metroid or Zero Mission.
