Is Kratos immortal?
Didn’t dante already have a match vs kharn?
Was going to say I could have sworn Kharn already fought vs Kratos too.
He has fought Kratos but he hasn’t fought this Dante (he fought the Devil May Cry Dante) not sure how Kratos vs Kharn went or if Dante Alighieri adds much. He has a magic armor that makes him briefly invincible but it times out after a while and I don’t want to even touch on the elemental compatibility issue with this one.
I have a feeling dante just gets shot and whatever happened the first time kratos and kharn fought happens here
Last two times actually, Kratos also fought Kharn while teamed up with War of Darksiders.
–
That said there was never a real consensus on either thread. So this is Kratos and Kharns third time facing off second time with Kratos having an ally yet there has never really been a consensus, though I think I remember someone saying in the Kratos match that Kratos should be able to one shot but…neither match was very hotly debated and probably deserving of a bump at least for the original.
I believe Kharn is far faster than Dante and Kratos, assuming we scale him up to some of the faster space marines. Of course, that is power-scaling, but considering how superior he is supposed to be over everyone, it’s not the worst power-scaling out there.
–
Of course, there are sure to be arguments about just how strong and fast Kratos is, but his inconsistency always causes that to happen.
Dante sol-wait…..
—
Honestly, doesn’t having a gun give a huge advantage here? Last time I checked, Kratos was sitting at arrow timing. Don’t know about Alighieri though.
@Nsl98 not just ANY gun but a plasma gun.
I brought this up before, but didnt kratos overpower kronos? A guy hundreds of times his size? With a body like that, I don’t think a mere chain ax of any kind will hurt him imo.
He didn’t overpower him, all he did was push the fingers off of himself and give him repeated cuts and scratches across his body.
@pimp….we know Kharn doesn’t wield a “normal” chain axe..
“Of course, that is power-scaling, but considering how superior he is supposed to be over everyone, it’s not the worst power-scaling out there.”
–
Has anyone ever considered that Kharn might just be very skilled compared to other Space Marines, or even Chaos Marines? He may not exactly be much faster or stronger. Just waaaaay better at fighting.
–
Inverse rule of ninjitsu I think it’s called?
@Sauro technically you are right about the fighting he’s like one of a dozen SMs from HH era famed for his fighting prowess (before the Butcher’s Nails kicked in). Though with saying that I believe he’s also supposed to be a little faster than the average SM as well.
@Nsl98
Yeah but still, he has repeatedly resisted being crushed by skyscraper sized beings.
Including Atlas who’s strong enough to literally hold the world on his shoulders!.
And Cronos who can just casually walk around with a mountain chained to his back.
–
Not to mention the repeated diocide, its safe to say Kratos is pretty freaking strong!.
@Bombad
Including Atlas who’s strong enough to literally hold the world on his shoulders!.
—
Atlas used his fingers. To put it this way, say you had a very large Ant in between your fingers. Are you going to put your full force into crushing it? Same with Kronos.
—
Also, I’m fairly certain that Atlas and Kronos feats have been discussed and debunked many times on this site….
More like Kratos is going to kill Dante even before Khran gets a chance, then it’s one on one.
_
“Last time I checked, Kratos was sitting at arrow timing. Don’t know about Alighieri though.”
_
Aren’t we discussed this in Kratos vs Jackson thread? He is at least supersonic with time manipulation feat and massively hypersonic with a Dev statement.

—
Yes, we discussed that Kratos isn’t supersonic and that the trailer/developer statement didn’t count. Otherwise he would’ve stomped Percy, Dresden and human Gabriel Belmont.
—

Literally all he did was try to squish him between his fingers. It isn’t the same thing as putting all of your strength into an attack. Refer back to the bug example.
Because of a lot of variables that made it not very impressive when it was calculated in Kratos vs Pit, Kratos vs Harry Dresden, Kratos vs Gabriel Belmont/Dracula etc.

The time manipulation feat is both inside the game and by Dev statement I don’t see why there are soo many variables. To proof even furthermore Kratos use the same ability on a giant creature later when he acquired the amulet of uroborus.

At the very beginning of the Cronos fight he tries to squish Kratos with his fingers.

I was talking about the Cronos feat not the time manipulation, I remember we debated that in Venom vs Kratos though so I’m checking out that match.
Yes, we discussed that Kratos isn’t supersonic and that the trailer/developer statement didn’t count.
–
To be fair, never hurts to go over something again, I’m decently sure I brought Eragon information people hadn’t used before when I first showed up on-site.
–
I think it’s even in the rules, just because something was decided before doesn’t mean it can’t change.
I think it’s even in the rules, just because something was decided before doesn’t mean it can’t change.
—
Well yeah, but it’s only been like 3 months or so, and Kratos hasn’t had that many matches in that time. Nothings really changed since then, cuz we haven’t had any reason to discuss Kratos.
@Friendly
Kratos abilities and feats have been gone over with a fine tooth comb several times. I can look through the thousands of posts for the various calcs if you like though it’ll take a while

–
I don’t personally care- I mostly just respond when it comes to Kratos. That’s why the last time he came up (vs Venom I think) I was just pointing out stuff like how you can’t really use “force” on something behind your neck.
–
BUT if anyone can point me to someone familiar with Fate/stay so I can message them on the topia that would be lovely- I would like to chat about that.
@Friendlysociopath
I can be of assistance in that matter.
Predazen/Monochrome is your guy.

Edit: Wow, to slow.
Actually I just have one question so no need for long drawn-out messages.
–
Does Saber ever actually USE Avalon? The wiki states she is an owner but she is not listed as a USER.
I need to know for my animation.
She did once duting the Fate Route in which Avalon tanks an Enuma Elish (The same Attack that destroyed the Reality Marble of Rider from F/Z) than proceeds to excaliblast Gilgamesh pointblank.
She did once duting the Fate Route
–
Shoot, so only one out of three huh? And it required Shirou too- ah well, no real idea how to add that in anyways.
IIRC she had Avalon given back to her. The other times there wasn’t enough time to identify the bond between, what not with Caster severing their (Saber and Shirou’s bond) and the other time the mud consuming her completely changing her.
Shit I feel bad for double posting off topic but the only reason I believe that it worked that time around was due to the fact that Shirou and her had an amazing dragon sequence. But if given Avalon naturally she should be fully capable of using it on her own.
This is the fastest I’ve seen Hermes run.
–
www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrzMddB9V-o&t=46
–
I’m assuming the fact that Hermes is running up the wall is supposed to mean he’s very fast, as in speed of sound fast, but from what I recall, one doesn’t require speed in order to run up a wall, they just need strong legs, which I suspect one would have from running fast.
–
Or, you could just have good enough traction to run up a wall at any speed. The wall would accelerate (slow down) your horizontal velocity for every time you made a step. After all, you are fighting gravity. Aside from this feat, Hermes doesn’t appear to be moving even the speed of sound.
Honestly the wall run stuff could just be because magic. I believe the best straight line speed feat from the part with him (where he runs across that rope) was calced at 40.9 mph during the latter part of Pit vs Kratos (thought the calc was in Gabriel Belmont vs Kratos but it wasn’t does mention that though so going to head there after finishing going through this fight)
–
The volcano incident for Kratos was calced to .5 tons of TNT
–
Seen a lot of argument about Kratos striking vs lifting strength and while his lifting was calced (somewhere north of 600,000 but south of 700,000) buuut at that it is notable that this was calced from the Cronos palm slap incident and that feat is questionable on the best of days.
–
So we have an idea of Kratos enhanced speed with the boots and of the kind of explosive damage he can handle but I haven’t found anything definitive on his striking capabilities and his full level of durability.
–
I will continue looking though
“is striking capabilities and his full level of durability.”

Hermes is the fastest in Gow universe even faster than the Leviathan’s who scaled the Mt Olympus in few seconds or so. So power scaling wise Kratos got damn fast reflexes. www.youtube.com/watch?v=0C0CfzwWPuQ listen to the beginning of the video

@Jake in the Flash tv show they mention how fast one must run to run up a building..
I don’t think that would apply to real physics Dmtl.
@hellboy147
Probably the fastest Olympian or god, but that doesn’t mean Hermes is the fastest thing alive. He could be the fastest runner without being the fastest flyer.
–
@Dmtl
I already tried that, but the calculation is never given. Furthermore, Cisco and Dr. Wells calculate that in order to run on water, the Flash would need to be running 600+ mi/h, but really, you just need to run 67 mi/h. Another thing about running up a wall is that you only need strong legs to jump up each step, not run.
Don’t people wallrun during parkour all the time? It kind of slipped my mind while typing that up but I mean…yeah don’t they?
Yes.
yeah don’t they?
–
Not very far but yes, it can be done; like Mea said- you don’t need speed (although it helps) you just need to push off of the wall properly. I certainly can’t run that fast but I’ve done it a few times (and fallen flat on my back a few times too).
–
I’d imagine superhuman speed let’s you do this for more than the normal 10 feet or so, since the momentum is what pushes you up the wall.
If you just had good grip on your shoes/feet/whatever your body would be hanging back due to gravity the entire time and it would be much harder than just sheer speed pushing you up.
–
Alright, what word could I possibly have used that would trigger moderation? This is like the cleanest comment I have ever made.
Well I imagine going highway speeds would probably be fast enough to allow that, no idea if it would but I would think it would
@Friendly at least you can remove that moderation yourself. The rest of us are not so lucky.
Interesting piece of information here, an F1 car only needs to drive between 90 and 120 mph to drive upside-down.

This conversation is making me fiercely nostalgic for my Rollcage Stage 2 game I cannot find. For a PS1 game it had a lot:
Destroy-able environments
You could drive on the ceiling or walls
Like 20 different weapons (each with two modes)
And a bunch of cars with different stats, albeit they were similar in that they all had to be those big-wheeled RC cars.
