In his Spectre incarnation, Scorpion can use a hellfire punch to punch through someone’s face.
Use portal/teleportation to travel to other dimensions.
His kunai can go through a person wearing some kind of body armor, and his sword can cut off a part of that body armor along with someone’s head.
    Punchin’ through a person’s head.
    Sendin’ people to hell.
Kunai goes through Quan Chi and his body armor.
His sword proceeds to cut off some metallic parts of his armor.

Bartimaeus is a middle-rank Djinn of “no small power”. He can see all 7 “Planes” of reality, invisibility and magical disguises fall somewhere between the first 4 of those, the 7th plane reveals the true form of whatever he’s looking at.

As a Djinn, Bartimaeus can change his form at-will; from things as large as a Roc to as small as an ear tick, he can turn invisible and incorporeal as well.
In an instant I was a Nile crocodile with jaws agape. I snapped down at her fingers.
The girl shrieked and jerked her arm backward faster than I would have believed possible.

One of the girl’s two guards had been only momentarily shocked. He recovered
himself, reached inside his jacket, emerged with something shiny in his hand.
As he threw it, I changed again.

    Decent running speed
And with that, we were off, careering through a shower of bullets—me, beak forward, eyes narrowed; him, gasping, trying to curl up into a ball and shield his head with his arms all at once. On foot, gargoyles can put together a pretty fine
turn of speed, provided we pump our wings as we run, and I’m pleased to say we left a thin scorched trail on the stones behind us as we went.

Punches aside a wooden door reinforced with steel
I charged at the door and hit it with my small boy’s fist. The door smashed open like a bent playing card. I ran past it without stopping.

Rips a statue off its piping to hit someone with
And now, to cap it all, this bloke was joining in too, when all I’d been doing was quietly trying to kill him.
    I lost my temper.
The angriest blackbird you’ve ever seen made a dive for the statue in the middle of the lake. It landed at the base of the dolphin’s tail, stretched its wings around the stone and, as it heaved, took a gargoyle’s form once more. Dolphin and god were ripped from their foundations. With a brittle cracking and the rasp of ripping lead, the statue came away. A jet of water spurted from the ruptured pipes inside.
The gargoyle raised the statue above its head, gave a bound, and landed on the lakeside bank, not far from where the mercenary was standing.

As a Djinn, Bartimaeus is immune to any physical weapons that aren’t iron or silver.
The knife descended This time it met its mark.
So it had finished as it must. Crouching above the body of the boy, the assassin allowed himself a breath —his first since his colleagues had met their ends. He sat back on his sinewy haunches, loosened his grip upon the knife, and let the boy’s wrist drop free. He inclined his head in the traditional mark of respect to the fallen victim.
At which point the boy reached up and plucked the knife from the center of his chest. The assassin blinked in consternation.

His incineration spell seems to turn people to ash
He stood over the bodies of the assassins, breathing hard . Then he stared up at the ceiling. On it was the blackened outline of a man.

Eh, I’m sure I’ll think of other things, it’s late.

I am just going to assume that that you wish to waver current incarnation for Link, since that would make him Majoras mask Link. and that he is in his adult form as shown in OoT.

    Maser sword:
    Has the Demons/evils bane property.

    Hylian shield:
Seems to be much tougher than a normal metal
actuall he would have the mirror shield, which is just as strong as the hylian shield but also blocks magic.

That can totally destroy massive rocks, and durability to tank said bombs

    Fire, ice and light arrows:
Burn, freeze and….. light up things

adult link cant use the boomerang

    Golden gauntlets:
grant immense strength, though whether that is purely lifting strength or converts to striking strength is usually debated

    Deku nuts:
    Stun opponents, like flashbangs

    Dins fire:
Sets fire to everything in a small radius

    Nayrus love:
Immune to damage but not immune to physics
    Runs on magic

    Farores wind:
    Teleportation to preset points

    Great fairy blessings:
Link has a large amount of magical power
Link has a much greater durability than a normal dude
Link can charge his sword with magic to do more damage

    Lens of truth:
    See through magical illusions

    Pulls Link around
Game theory points out that this could b e a majory durability feat, and a very dangerous weapon. Or we just atribute it to magic, eh

    Megaton hammer
May or may not weigh a megaton. Kinda doubt it does

    Hover boots:
    walk on air

    Iron boot:
Make heavy…. but only when wearing them

    mask of truth:
    can read gossip stones

    Big goron sword.
Two handed, does more damage than the master swod

    Red/blue tunic
Makes Link immune to heat and drowning respectively.

    4 bottles:
Can hold fairys for a rez, potions for health and magic
    – – –
That is all i can remember right now.

I am just going to assume that that you wish to waver current incarnation for Link

Nah, I just wanted Ocarina of Time, I don’t like composites because that shit isn’t canon; so I tend to call for OoT Link purely because of the gauntlets.

    Feats for Wrath:
    Casually dodging bullets

Keeps up with and destroys a tank, cuts a shell in half, fights a ninja and the 2nd incarnation of Greed

After taking all of that goes up against Scar, and required luck to finally be defeated

  8. Friendlysociopath December 7, 2015 at 12:11 am -      #8

Honestly I was told to include Bowser but I have no idea what he can do- anyone want to enlighten me? Or even tell me why he’s a demon?

  9. OriginalA December 7, 2015 at 1:54 am -      #9

Bowser is incredibly strong, has black magic, extremely durable, breaths fire, and in general is a pretty mean guy.

He’s a demon because, like many old Nintendo things, Japanese to English translations and localization. So a history lesson! But let’s work backwards here.

Obviously, Bowser’s name is Bowser. At some point in time, his Japanese name, Koopa, and his English name, Bowser, got merged and he became Bowser Koopa. I’m not actually sure when this occurred… I’d wager a guess it was around Super Mario 64, which is when Princess Peach (J) and Princess Toadstool (E) became Princess Peach Toadstool. Anyways, Bowser’s English title has always been King Bowser, because that was a localization of his Japanese title, King Koopa… except that too is a product of translation convention. His title was Daimao. This got translated and localized into “King”, but a more literal translation would be “Great Demon King”.

So why is Bowser a demon? It’s in the name; hail Daimao Koopa!

Ignoring the fact that Mario and Luigi help him maximize the effeciency of his own muscles here, the fact that Bowser could catch and hold the solid iron ball and be absolutely fine is outstanding. He also held it for a while too; he’s got some serious strength.

Above all else though… he’s got a kickass theme song!

He should be able to keep Link busy… Maybe Belmont too.

  10. PsImplosion December 9, 2015 at 1:31 pm -      #10

Dante is hypersonic, has hax regen, hax royal guard, and ludicrous strength.

Just refer to the old Dante (or Vergil) posts and you’ll get a general sense of how much broken he is.

Now I don’t know a lot about team two (except that Bartimaeus is useless) so perhaps someone can provide some more feats for them.

I would also like to see some for Ghost Rider and Gabriel Belmont since I don’t know about them either.

  11. Friendlysociopath December 9, 2015 at 2:43 pm -      #11

    except that Bartimaeus is useless

An invisible and intangible demon that specifically likes to hide and ambush with magic is “useless”? Thus far nothing has been presented for Team Hunter to even find him to attack him.

A list of spells Bart has access to:

Bart’s Incineration magic is powerful enough to incinerate humans into charcoal and ash, and he also has a BFR option via Void; he is not useless.

  12. LadyRamkin December 9, 2015 at 2:53 pm -      #12

I am pretty sure Link stabs Bowser…. once. And he goes down. Assuming what OriginalA said is true.

Bowser is a big target and isnt that fast. And the master sword utterly wrecks demon. Just look what it does to Ganondorf, and that guy is retardedly durable.

  13. PsImplosion December 9, 2015 at 6:12 pm -      #13

Yeah not very impressive. He’s too slow and vulnerable and as for void, I haven’t read the prequel so I can’t make a judgement with authority. However judging by the wiki description, it sucks in so I’m guessing it’s a vacuum. Considering Dante’s hypersonic speed + trickster I’m sure Dante can easily out run that and Link has his boots.

Oh sure he can survive getting stabbed with daggers and what not but what about magic (which means rebellion, master sword, and other magical weapons) and silver forks? Or giant lasers beams? The moment Bartimaeus goes out of hiding he’s dead because he’s too slow.

    Does Dante get Yamato?

So doesn’t Bowser have any of the Nintendo broken-ness or is the ban on Paper and Galaxy a bit too much?
Wrath doesn’t look like he can match Dante either.

  14. Friendlysociopath December 9, 2015 at 10:16 pm -      #14

    Yeah not very impressive.

Remind me again which members of team 1 has actual feats of not being burnt to a crisp, vaporized with wall-level blasts, or imploded into a marble-sized piece of matter via magic?

The moment Bartimaeus goes out of hiding he’s dead because he’s too slow.

And Bart would have to stop hiding- why exactly? Even in the books he points out two entire armies of djinn fighting is entirely unnoticeable by regular humans since they’re invisible.

‘It was a fairly low-key sort of battle, especially on the first plane. Nothing much could be seen. The house lights were all out, the electric street lamps had been tied in knots; the road was dark as an inkstone, a solid slab of black. A few
stars shone coldly overhead. Once or twice indistinct blue -green lights appeared and faded, like explosions far off underwater.’
    – Ptolmey’s Gate
^That’s two groups of djinn going all-out to kill one another, even on the second plane they looked like birds, not demons.

Don’t forget he can create illusions as well, all demons do when they’re summoned; Bart is no exception.

‘”TELL ME!” Now there was anger in the voice; as it spoke, a great noise sounded in the room— a thunderclap that shook the window and rippled out across the floorboards, sending chips of rotten plaster dropping from the walls. The door slammed shut (but she had not opened it nor seen it open); the window shattered and fell away. At the same time a great wind rose up around the chamber, whirling all about her, faster and faster, sending the bowls of rosemary and rowan wood flying, slamming them out against the walls, seizing the book and candlesticks, her satchel and her coat, carrying them high and low around the room, whistling and wailing, around and around and around until they blurred . And now the very walls were moving too, tearing from their sockets in the floor and joining in the frenzied dance, spitting bricks loose as they spin, spiraling around and around beneath the ceiling. And finally the ceiling was gone, and the awful immensity of the night sky stretched above, with stars and moon spinning and the clouds being drawn out into pale white threats that shot in all directions…’
    – Ptolmey’s Gate
^Dante might very well not be able to even find the enemies he’s after.

    Does Dante get Yamato?

    Not standard equipment so no.

I’m sure Dante can easily out run

Dante seems to be 50/50 between dodging what comes at him and otherwise standing completely still and tanking it, that’s gonna backfire really fast if he tries that on Bart or Scorpionsince that’s BFR or death.

So doesn’t Bowser have any of the Nintendo broken-ness

Beats me, he does appear to be quite strong judging by the clip Original posted, I have no doubt he has more feats but I haven’t played any Mario games but Smash, Kart, and Party.

  15. Nsl98 December 9, 2015 at 10:35 pm -      #15

Hey, so has anybody else lost access to the mobile version of the site? It just disappeared…

I would also like to see some for Ghost Rider and Gabriel Belmont since I don’t know about them either.

Robbie (Ghost Rider) can drag people into hell:

Whips a missle out of the air

Gets thrown through a bus and is fine:

    His car is missle proof:

Robbie is also bulletproof like his car, but I don’t have time to find the scan.

  16. OriginalA December 9, 2015 at 11:54 pm -      #16

“So doesn’t Bowser have any of the Nintendo broken-ness or is the ban on Paper and Galaxy a bit too much?”

He’s stupidly strong. Bowser’s Inside Story shows him to be outrageously strong. He caught an iron ball that is several times larger than he is and he wasn’t instantly crushed; in fact he actually held it. After Mario helped amp up his muscles a bit, Bowser was able to throw the ball over a mile away.

Bowser survived a castle stepping on him (it was a robot castle). He wasn’t doing too well for a bit, but once his adrenaline kicked in (again, Mario and Luigi helped out there) he instantly recovered and he grew to the same size as the castle that stepped on him.

Then there is the fact that Bowser pretty regularly survives dipping in Lava (sure it defeats him, but it is also a deep pit… it only killed him once, but he got better thanks to the black magic he taught his son to use).

And Bowser has a great ranged attack. He shoots fireballs that are like 4 foot tall and he can spam that easily.

And while the Master Sword is a formidable weapon, I’m not sure how well it would do against Bowser. Bowser is a bit of a tank. He can shrug off attacks from Mario that will literally pulverize lesser enemies; bone crushing force is fairly casually ignored by him.

And Bowser can easily jump some 15-20 ft into the air. He may not be a gymnast, but his agility is deceptive for his size. He can run as fast as Mario can, and his jumping ability surpasses Mario’s own. … and Mario is known for his ability to jump!. He’s down right fast in Super Mario 3D Land:

Then there is Super Princess Peach which showed that Bowser can trigger his growth without a 3rd party acting on him (supporting Bowser’s Inside Story growth ability. Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam also shows [regular] Bowser growing without obviously 3rd party interaction when in the final boss fight he jumps into the magic ball of paper crafts created by Paper Bowser; the end result was Shiny RoboBowser, which was Giant Bowser in papercraft armor). [Super Princess Peach video]

And as Bowser’s Inside Story showed, he doesn’t slow down when he’s giant. He’s actually proportionally faster.

Because of the feats in Super Mario 3D Land, I have no trouble believing that Bowser can easily force a battle between him and OoT Link into an indefinitely ranged battle. That puts Bowser’s fire breath against Link’s Light Arrows. Here is one key difference though. Bowser’s fire breath has a variant shown in Super Mario 3D Land that can bypass terrain. So while Bowser can hide behind things, Link cannot. Link could try his Mirror Shield, but that kind of Bowser’s fire breath is larger than Link’s entire body. If Bowser decides to jump on Link, Link could hold him up, but if Bowser grabs Link, Link is dead since Bowser could easily throw him a couple of miles away without even trying. And to top it off, Link is considerably less agile than Mario, whom Bowser can get the better of sometimes.

Also, as Super Mario 3D World showed, Bowser will use Power Up items. There, Bowser used the Cat’s Bell and the Double Cherry (multiple times) to become Meowser + 4 Meowser clones.

So, to answer Psimplosion’s question, Yes… Bowser has tons of Nintendo broken-ness going for him. The ban on Paper feats makes perfect sense since Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam shows that the Paper Mario games are in fact a parallel universe (or some such) to the non-paper games. Paper!characters are not the same characters from the rest of the series. Paper Bowser is not Bowser. The ban on Galaxy (and presumably Galaxy 2) only limit Bowser from his largest sized feats in a 3d game. They don’t actually eliminate all of Bowser’s top end feats. Most of those are in M&L: Bowser’s Inside Story (and have additional context to them that generally nullify them as usable on their own; catching the iron ball, however is not one of those… throwing the iron ball is).

I’m not sure what is in M&L: Dream Team since I didn’t play it, or M&L: Partners in Time. I can barely remember M&L: SS as it is.

  17. PsImplosion December 23, 2015 at 3:13 pm -      #17

Seeing as how Dante is Hypersonic and an amazing marksman who can shoot hundreds of bullets in a shot span of time, if he gets hit, he can just unload Ebony and Ivory in the direction of the thing that hit him as soon as it does faster than Bart can respond (because he’s hypersonic) or shoot in every direction with his shotgun or use Pandora Form 666.

Dante tanks the savior punch, sits on Berial’s flaming tail, move fast enough to generate visible heat and not be affected and although I haven’t played DMC1: this

    Link is fire proof with
right? Won’t that make fire breath useless?

Ghost Rider’s missile feat isn’t bad. That means he’s pretty fast. I don’t know what rocket launcher that is though so it can be 100m/s or higher. 100m/s is pretty fast.

I think Dante is totally out of place here. This fight would be better without Dante because right now it looks like he can clean house on his own.

  18. OriginalA December 23, 2015 at 3:24 pm -      #18

Goron Tunic does not make Link fireproof. He’s resistant to heat and can stand on lava for a short time, but fire still burns him.

    Spot on about Dante though.

  19. Alpha or Omega December 23, 2015 at 3:30 pm -      #19

    Dante was hypersonic?
    Since when?

  20. Friendlysociopath December 23, 2015 at 3:38 pm -      #20

Well I kind of wanted Dante in here as he’s the backbone of the scenario, but if you think he’s too strong we could nerf him to just after he starts his business.
So Devil May Cry 3 Dante.

  21. PsImplosion December 23, 2015 at 4:20 pm -      #21

    @Alpha or Omega
Not for this debate but for anyone interested:

    Scroll down for some calcs

My own Vergil spinning sword bullet catch calc from Iron fist vs Vergil:

“…the spin is so fast that it creates a solid wall against the bullets. To do that, Vergil’s sword has to be moving fast enough that it makes a full circle before a bullet can move past the thickness of his sword. A 9mm bullet is about 1cm. Vergil has to use the flat of his blade since he caught the bullet and it makes more sense (he might cut the bullet instead of blocking it) so lets add another 2cm.

A full spin every 80 microseconds
that means Vergil has an angular velocity of
    12500*(2*3.14)rad/s or 12500 full spins per second…

Even Vergil was spinning his hand close to the axis (so lower end) (say 5cm to axis) then
    12500*(2*3.14)*0.05=3925 about mach 11.”

And you can always go back to older Dante fights if you ever want to waste hours of your life.

  22. Nsl98 December 23, 2015 at 5:57 pm -      #22

You do realize that the very next post after yours in that thread disproved yours, right? And then a few posts later Aelfinn also corrected you. So why would you try to use it again?

And how does speed help against an invisible/intangible teleporter with good durability? Speed only gets you so far…

  23. PsImplosion December 23, 2015 at 6:12 pm -      #23

No. It didn’t. My calc is still correct. I disagree with Aelfinn. It’s quite clear that Vergil is using the spin like shield and was not reacting to the bullet so yes 3cm.

Teleporter need to react to teleport. If they get hit, then they get hit. Dante’s attack power is much weaker if we’re only going by DMC3 so durability is a factor but Dante is by no means incapable of doing damage and he is also durable with regeneration.

AOE attacks are great against invisibility. Nevan = electric shock waves and bats everywhere. Agni and Rudra can make a miniature tornado. Add in doppelganger for more dakka.

  24. Friendlysociopath December 23, 2015 at 6:48 pm -      #24

AOE attacks are great against invisibility.

Sooo instead of helping against the enemies he sees Dante is going to not only know there’s an invisible one around- but randomly blast empty areas with his non-primary weapons for the hell of it?

Seems a bit foolish, not to mention tremendously out of character for Dante. Especially when Bowser can apparently create clones of himself via items (or anyone else for that matter) and half of Dante’s team isn’t fast enough to deal with Wrath or Scorpion.

And how does speed help against an invisible/intangible teleporter?

Just to be clear, Bartimaus can’t teleport unless I make this Nathaniel-Bartimaeus.

Teleporter need to react to teleport.

But his reactions and raw intelligence should be far above Dante’s considering he has something like 10 minds going at once compared to a human’s one.

  25. Nsl98 December 23, 2015 at 7:09 pm -      #25

Just to be clear, Bartimaus can’t teleport unless I make this Nathaniel-Bartimaeus.

Not talking about Bart, Hood is the invisible/intangible teleporter. It’s usually his first move.

No. It didn’t. My calc is still correct. I disagree with Aelfinn. It’s quite clear that Vergil is using the spin like shield and was not reacting to the bullet so yes 3cm.

Your calc is correct despite 2 top notch calcers disagreeing? K.

Teleporter need to react to teleport.

Hood has kept up with bullet timers and people with pre cog and done perfectly fine.

AOE attacks are great against invisibility.

Right, but what about invisible people durable enough to take punches from class 50+ people or energy blasts that take out multiple high level supers? Also intangibility.

  26. Alpha or Omega December 23, 2015 at 7:27 pm -      #26

For the calcs done in KMC
The calc done with Vergil assumes they’re moving 15 m/s when parts of the cutscene are in slowmotion. That doesn’t match up when part of the cutscene goes to normal speed and we see the Abyss don’t go at 15m/s.
Then, there’s part of the slow motion where the Abyss leaped on Vergil. That one is not dependent on their speed, but on gravity, air resistance, etc.
    From 36:04-36:16 (12 seconds)
If Dante traveled at mach 10 according to that person, that tower would be 41,160 m or 41 km.
This is not accounting for the distance Dante covered while falling.
However, Temen-Ni-Gru is nowhere near 40 km, so Dante could never have been hypersonic.
Mea Quidem Sententia also said on the matter that “Drag, or “air resistance” would be what you’re looking for. I don’t think a hand would be capable of causing enough friction to heat up air molecules unless it was a very large hand.”
It looks like he shot at the same time Lady did instead of shooting after Lady.
But, if it’s true that he shot after Lady, then it would indeed be .00025 seconds.
I don’t see how that would be a melee speed of mach 12 rather than reaction times since he only shot at the bullets and didn’t move his arms one meter during the .00025 seconds. .25 milliseconds would be the reaction times.
The part with Blitz had already been refuted, here at least.
Blitz was out of the lightning form when he was about to attack Dante, and Dante missed him when Blitz went back to lightning form.

Ah, well geez, 5 demons walk into a bar; 1 teleports, 1 turns invisible and incorporeal, and another teleports, turns invisible, and incorporeal.

Your calc is correct despite 2 top notch calcers disagreeing?

They don’t disagree with the calc itself (well they did, and then I believe he fixed it), they disagree with the reasoning.
It’s a matter of whether he was timing his rotations to block the bullets specifically or just swinging in a circle to form a shield.

Gabriel is pre Dracula, but does that mean that he is pre vapireism or before he adopts the name?? because im pretty sure he gets turned into a vampire in order to….. kill satan??? And he takes on the dracula name some time after that.

  29. Friendlysociopath December 23, 2015 at 7:47 pm -      #29

Gabriel is pre Dracula, but does that mean that he is pre vapireism or before he adopts the name?

The intent was before he got all of the Dracula powers like form-changing and what-not. I don’t know what point that was so I just said pre-Dracula.

Never actually finished that game- got sort of a buzzkill after the mute girl and didn’t want to play anymore.

Ah, well geez, 5 demons walk into a bar; 1 teleports, 1 turns invisible and incorporeal, and another teleports, turns invisible, and incorporeal.

Sounds like the beginning to a cheesy joke :p

Also, as of the latest Illuminati issue, Parker (Hood) can apparently cast multiple teleportation spells at the same time. If he gets creative, he could just BFR most if not all of Team Hunter:

“because im pretty sure he gets turned into a vampire in order to….. kill satan???”

Nah, he becomes a vampire after he kills Satan.

Don’t Seraph Blades tend to break and shatter a lot of the time since most couldn’t withstand getting coated in Lava or Magma or anything hotter than that?
It was mentioned in The City of Bones novel actually, back when Jace was using Sanvi or Sansanvi if I heard right when either one was destroyed?

Even DMC 3 Dante is supersonic with Beowulf (specifically the arial kick with Beowulf is stated to be a supersonic attack), and Trickster’s Air Trick implies that Dante can in fact move in bursts of speed that surpass even that since he moves faster with Airtrick (disappears and appears above someone) than he does with the Beowulf arial kick (which merely just kicks fairly quickly). So he should be easily supersonic even just as DMC3 Dante.

Also the sheer amount of bullets Dante can fill the air with in a second or two is nothing short of outstanding; hundreds of bullets in less than three seconds, that’s a rate of fire 400+ rounds per minute.

“Nah, he becomes a vampire after he kills Satan.”

Right, not satan, the forgotten one.

“in order to get into the portal in which the Forgotten One resides you cannot have any “good” in your soul. In order to get rid of the good, Laura tells Gabriel to drink her blood which will purge the good out of him. After drinking some of her blood she tells him that he is now poisoned and that he will die if he doesn’t drink all of her blood and replace all of his. Doing so kills Laura who wants to finally be released from her miserable eternity.

Now with Laura’s blood in him, he faces off against the Forgotten One. Long story short, after defeating him Gabriel steals FG’s super evil mojo and becomes even more corrupt/evil completely discarding his humanity. He then “warps” back to Earth which is what you then see in the epilogue.”

Something I never entirely understood- is the description of an attack enough to say it measures up to a certain speed, power, etc? Or do we need something more?

Because I guarantee if I post this to show Zell is relativistic
and point out the Combat King Volume 005 that teaches you the move specifically says you’re going a fraction of the speed of light (Loaded my FF8 game to make sure- cause I don’t have a link).
Does that mean Zell goes that fast for Final Heaven?

  37. Alpha or Omega December 24, 2015 at 1:17 pm -      #37

Yeah, I would definitely say that is relativistic.
Aside from the fact that it’s pointed out to be a fraction of lightspeed, the animation shows him going around the world in about 4 seconds and he creates a large explosion from going that fast.

  38. LadyRamkin December 24, 2015 at 2:01 pm -      #38

“the move specifically says you’re going a fraction of the speed of light ”

Technically all speeds are a fraction of the speed of light. And the speed of light is a fraction of all speeds.

Like, the speed of light is a fraction of 60mph if the fraction was

    Or something.

Like, The speed of light is a number. so a 100 bilionth of that speed is still a fraction of the speed of light.

  39. LadyRamkin December 24, 2015 at 2:10 pm -      #39

If someone is only using a fraction of their power that fraction could still be 99/100.

describing something in terms of fractions is entirely meaningless.

  40. OriginalA December 24, 2015 at 4:15 pm -      #40

That video shows Zell (I assume that’s Zell anyways; never played the game) going about 4.5% the speed of light, just going by the visuals. That’s a respectable fraction of the speed of light considering that’s just by running.

I would not say that he is relativistic though. Relativistic is specifically referring to the point in which Newtonian Physics begin to break down and Relativistic Physics begin to take over. I think the general rule of thumb is that 10% of lightspeed is where the term Relativistic becomes hard law rather than merely potential suggestion. Technically, relativistic equations is more accurate than Newtonian equations, but in most cases calculating Newtonian physics is simply faster and gets you a close enough answer that it doesn’t matter otherwise. At a certain velocity (which varies), from what I’ve read at about ~9% c is the absolute fastest speed you can get away without calculating for relativistic physics; stuff like increases to mass, differences in the flow of time due to velocity… that sort of thing.

4.5% c is fast, but not quite Relativistic as far as I’m concerned. Still a meaningful fraction of the speed of light though.

And generally I go by descriptions rather than depictions. What is shown can be argued as game mechanics. … Although what is stated can be argued as hyperbole, but this is more difficult to disprove, especially when the depicted speed is already in question as an abstraction of game mechanics.
