    Dio really likes using his time stop ability

    Dio’s stand is FTL. Esdeath doesn’t really have a chance to activate her own timestop.

    You know, I’ve been thinking about that. While THE WORLD is FTL, I don’t think Dio himself necessarily is. Jotaro’s Star Platinum can catch bullets while Jotaro himself can’t, and we also see that Jotaro practically got run over by a car (when Hol Horse and Boingo were trying to kill him), despite having way more than FTL-time-scales to react to it.

    Of course, Dio is a Vampire, so he’s got a few speed/strength/regeneration feats of his own that he can use.

    Fair point, but the problem is Jotaro and Dio both controlled their stands directly in battle. JJBA is weird that way. Kars had FTL reaction and sliced hundreds of bullets from near point blank with ease, yet Jotaro’s dad was able to keep up with him just fine, so entire Jotaro family is superhuman thanks to ripple that runs in their blood. But no way Dio or Jotaro FTL by themself IMO. Yet that doesn’t change the fact that since they can control their stands (and Dio blocked Green’s Emerald Splash with his own finger, so his speed is actually crazy too, likely far above hypersonic thanks to such feat) their reaction times also crazy high.
    This is why author probably destroyed original universe and removed FTL speed from new universe. It just allows for more stories, when your stands are not FTL in speed IMO.

    Considering every other wacky, impossible thing that Joseph pulled off, I’m not surprised he can keep up with Kars. In a “because he’s Joesph” kind of way, a la “because he’s batman”. I’d also attribute some of it to PIS, unless Hamon is just THAT good.

    Did we ever get a direct speed feat for Emerald Splash? I know Tower of Gray was pretty damn fast. Is it based off of that?

    There was some calc on narutoforums, they used Green own speed for this attack (but for some reason they calced it as if Green had A in speed, when he clearly is not A speed stand IMO), but I can’t find this calc right now. Anyway it still multiple projectiles from stand with at least “B” (no reason for them to be any slower than Green speed IMO) in speed and Dio blocked them all.

    Fun tidbit for those interested, you can generate your own stand here:

    Why do people think its a good idea to put someone who’s FTL against someone who clearly isn’t?

    @Friendlysociopath
    Well you done fucked up now. Because well I just generated a Stand that’s possibly the most dangerously tedious thing I’ve ever seen.

    What was it? I get Stairway to Heaven with Concept Dependant Immortality.

    @Batz
    Stand Name: The Sound of Silence

    Stand Ability: [Self-Resurrection](powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Self-Resurrection)

    Power – A

    Speed – C

    Range – D

    Durability – E

    Precision – D

    Potential – B

    Description: The power to resurrect oneself upon death. Sub-power of Resurrection. The user is able to revive themselves upon death, making them immune to abilities such as Death Inducement and potentially can live forever.

    Does this mean I’ll 8/10 win fights? Most likely
