So, everyone today knows that there are MLG tournaments where the winning teams take home real cash. Same goes for the old school bingo halls where you get the money as soon as you win.
If you watch sports at all, you are most likely aware of all the fantasy sport leagues where people are winning every week.
And of course, let’s not forget what started all of this – online casinos.
I don’t know why, but it seems like the online casinos are the one who get the bad rap when looking people suddenly become concerned about this topic. The best tip I ever got about gambling of any kind was from my grandfather.
He always told me to play with a budget – NO MATTER WHAT.
This is coming from a person who played the lottery on a daily basis, would go to Las Vegas at least five times a year, and would also hand out prank “scratch-and-win” cards for Christmas.
The approach is something I always abide by any time I decide to place some bets. The best part is, once you get past your initial budget, and DOUBLE it, you are allowed to wager whatever you want. This way you can always tell your SO that you doubled your money :-p.
Imagine making money playing games where you aren’t facing off against the “House” and instead are using your wits from all your time spent consuming entertainment and enjoying those characters and the universes that they reside in?
If you notice the header image for this post, it belongs to casino.netbet.co.uk and they have many games that not only offer entertaining and engaging ways to play, but they have demos that let you experience the game play before having to commit.
How cool is that?
It’s totally up to you on how you decide to spend your time and where you hang out online, but regardless of where that happens, be sure to stay smart and stick to a budget.
I play for fun, but this is interesting info.
I’ll actually be entering a League of Legends tournament later this semester- not MLG but still- competition is competition.
@Friendly
Will it be streamed? Or recorded in any way?
—
Best of luck 😀
@Friendly Good luck! I just started playing League.
anyone doing Heroes of the Storm?
I play Heroes of the Storm. It’s a fun game. You tried it, Admin? I main Tyrande, Malfurion, Anub’arak, and Leroic. Most of my games are actually on Illidan, but I’ve played him less since the nerfs.
Will it be streamed? Or recorded in any way?
–
Actually yes, I believe it will be streamed- and I rather hope they record it since last time they didn’t.

One of my brothers has been playing it. He likes the mounts and the way the jungle works but he thinks the champions are a bit too similar to one another.

Thanks
There are no champions in Heroes of the Storm. They’re heroes, man! Good luck in the competition.
Because, as a general rule, members of competitive gaming clans tend to be weaker players compared to solo runners like my friends and I, we used to mock clanners, especially MLG players.
–
As a joke, a friend and I were going to sign up for MLG.
–
I did. My friend bailed.
–
It is now a great taint to my name that I am signed up with MLG.
–
We still hunt clans when we see them. It’s a lot of fun watching them try to organize while the sharks move in for the kill.
–
But every time I kill a guy with MLG in his name or profile, or I see a clan tag on him..
–
I am reminded of my great shame.
–
Well, now that’s off my chest. I feel better now.
My team mostly’s gonna play in Smash tournaments, but some of us do have plans for League.
(Also Splatoon)
–
Anyone heard of Toy Soldiers? I heard you can play as He-Man.
–
I also have a mod for Warcraft that sets up an Bleach vs One Piece (and Sasuke) battle arena, if anyone’s interested.
First time I ever walked into a casino, I had $2 in my pocket. Walked out with $90 or so. Second time I ever went to a casino, walked in with $10, walked out with $20. So I figured I’d just end my gambling career there. I just don’t enjoy spending money in hopes to beat extremely low odds of getting more money, even though I’ve been lucky twice.
–
I do like competitions, but generally not ones that involve cash prizes, unless entry is free of course.
I used to be super into playing halo 3. I got to rank like 24 or so in the lone wolf category. Then I realized that the game wansnt so much about skill, as it was being the first person to fire with a battle rifle. Kd ratios for good players were almost always just above 1.0.

I do league, I am silver 1 100lp. I was going for that easy gold but the servers switched to the east coast and my ping jumped by 30. Lag spikes became unbearable. So I gave up.
