Mantis has rocket launchers and heavy machine guns.
Main defense is heavy armor plate and shields.

I don’t think the bat mobile can hurt the mantis.
Batmoblie is to car what batman is to regular humans.
Yes it takes on tanks, the problem is that the mantis takes on future tanks with bigger stronger guns.

Like what, the Wraith?
Just in case someone questions the user behind the wheel or the mech, Arkham universe Batman and a Spartan IV are in their respected universe’s vehicles.
However, once their rides are destroyed, the remaining functional wins.
/
I didn’t expect this to come out so soon.
/
Anyway, the Batmobile can be a car or a tank-ish thing. The vehicle itself can plow through cars.
It has missiles and can use them in a barrage. I forgot what the cannon uses, but it can take down other tanks, APCs, and other vehicles.
/
One thing to note is that it has a cable…capable of pulling itself up a building. Strong cable
So is the Mantis as strong in canon as it is in the game? Cause Warthogs straight-up bounce off that thing so far as I remember.
@Alpha or Omega
the cannon fires 60 mm rounds.

Do I blame my phone, the time limit, or myself?
I meant to say if one of the vehicles is destroyed, the remaining functional one wins.

not sure if that weapon is big enough to hurt the mantis or not but I don’t know Halo vehicles really.
According to the batman wiki, the Batmobile’s largest gun fires a 60mm high explosive shell, the M41 SSR MAV/AW fires a 102mm high-explosive anti-tank shaped charge.
–
This next bit may just be game mechanics but… I don’t really have anything to counter that, so feel free to accept or deny this line of reasoning:
It takes 2 102mm HEAT rockets (in quick succession 3 if shields are allowed to recharge) to destroy the Mantis. A round that’s almost half the size of this is going to take almost double the amount of damage to do the same feat.
–
This bit of info isn’t related to game mechanics or anything:
[X] HEAT rockets penetrate anywhere from 150%-250% (from WWII (modern rockets claim a 700% penetration-to-diameter))(technically the Mantis doesn’t fire HEAT rounds, I know, but I couldn’t find anything that told me what a 35mm SSM could penetrate, next best thing?)) From there, you could say that the 35mm round could penetrate anywhere from 40mm to 75mm (250mm for modern claims) of armor… not enough considering the batmobile has 120mm of armor (at its thickest parts. [X].) But considering 4 of these rockets can destroy a Scorpion tank, I’d say… its a close call.
–
I don’t even know who I want to root for here. If we assume the Mantis just meets some of the claims of today, I think its better armament + shields could win it the battle.

One a the M41 is a rocket and has a slower velocity. Doesn’t it primarily deal damage through just it’s explosiveness?
The BatCannon(as I will now refer to it as) is firing a shell at a high velocity in addition to explosions.
===
I think the batmobile’s biggest advantage is it’s speed and AI. It’s target can assist in firing down missiles and it’s boosters would help in making it difficult in getting a bead on it. How well does the Mantis turn?
I have to say, I’m rooting for the mantis. If we’re going from gameplay, the mantis could literally just stomp right next to it if it got close, or fire its missiles at it, missiles that can destroy hugely armored cov. Phantoms, and wraiths are actually pretty versatile, are fairly well armed, and well armored, yet they stand no chance against a mantis, so what would that say about the far less advanced (as far as I can tell, not sure how true this is) bat mobile?
And fairly well, ninja lowk

– between the two… I think the M41 is the more destructive of the two. It should behave like a HEAT round of today, meaning the 150%/250%/700% penetration to diameter ratio thing would be more relevant. So the 102mm HEAT rocket is able to penetrate from 153mm/204mm/714mm, and this is happening at every range and these are all low-end estimates. At further ranges, the M41 dishes out more punishment than the BatCannon (potentially)

– those are both very good points. The Mantis handles like a bag of rocks, if I recall correctly.
—
You know what might actually really matter? How fast can the Batmobil get off 2-3 rockets? If the Mantis can get off its own rocket(s) + its autocannon before the Batmobil can hit two successive strikes, the Mantis would have a very brutal advantage initially.
“How fast can the Batmobil get off 2-3 rockets?”

It’s basic missile barrage spams 4. After Fox upgrades the tank it can fire up to 10 like that.
It can this while still moving and I think while firing it’s other weapons.
So their armor is similar, Mantis has slight edge in firepower but the Batmobile’s
manoeuvrebility will probably clench this.
It can dance circles around the Mantis, and move in and out of battle quickly.
–
I doubt the Mantis can even hit him reliably, also do you guys think that he could hack it.?
I know its not a drone but it does have computers, potentially vulnerable ones.
“It’s basic missile barrage spams 4. After Fox upgrades the tank it can fire up to 10 like that. It can this while still moving and I think while firing it’s other weapons.”
– The Batmobile could take out the Mantis, then.
—
Gameplay again, take it how you will: [X] A barrage of its autocannon plus a few rockets is enough for the Mantis to take out the Scorpion. Since the Scorpion can take just as much damage as the Wraith, this would imply its armor is comparable to 2-feet worth of Covenant armor [X] and the Mantis chews through that rather easily… Hm.
