Legio Invicta Vs Arms Forts

Legio Invicta Vs Arms Forts - копия

Suggested by Rookie
Legio Invicta (Warhammer 40K) will go up against Arms Forts (Armored Core)

This battle will be in two scenarios.

Scenario 1:  49 Titans of Legio Invicta from the battle Orestes will go up against all Arms Forts from Armored Core (1 Arms Forts of each type). No MT (except for Cabracan’s drones) or NEXTs or land IoM support units are allowed, just titans against Arms Forts. Distance between two forces: 3 000 kilometers.

Scenario 2: All Arms Forts what appeared in Armored Core: For Answer will replace all chaos forces during battle for Orestes. All MT (and other units) and NEXTs what appears in missions with Arms Forts will join them. Legio Invicta will join forces with Orestes defence forces and will try to stop invasion of Arms Forts. Orbital bombardment not allowed. If Armored Core’s forces can capture Orestes Principal this is counts as victory for them.

Who will win in each scenario?

Titans are a truly fearsome force on the battlefield, but the Arms forts are ungodly monsters made by the corporations and most of them far out match titans hands down. The Answerer is a almost unstoppable AF I just don’t see how they could down it when it has that unknown defense field on it( In game if you try to use long range weapons against it the round no matter what they are are stopped by some kind of force field around the Answerer) Not to mention its massive missile batteries and the Arrays of Hi lasers on its wings. AS for the other AFs most of them are not as big of a threat as the Answerer but are still unbelievably dangerous on their own. Mother will has some of the longest ranged guns in the game and have been theorized to be able to reach the moon with them. The Sol dios ( The AF in the picture) has weapons on it that are considered so powerful in game lore that using them is akin to a war crime.

Are there given numbers for legio invicta? The wiki is only showing named titans. I’ve never read of how many titans a legio consists of. It could be hundreds for all I know.

“Are there given numbers for legio invicta?”

49 on their own wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Legio_Invicta , 63 with Orestes defences+ land forces. I choose Legio with known numbers for this match.

Two Warhound scout titans doing AA duty:

“The night sky suddenly lit up with detonations, but not those initiated by bombs dropped by the Thunderbolts. One after another, the fighter-bomber wing of the arkcruiser Ultros disappeared in a disintegrating smear of destruction. From the south, Stroika saw a flickering stream of gargantuan tracer fire. Some colossal weapon had blown the entire fighter wing out of the sky.

As Stroika’s cogitator cycled through threat possibilities, the colossal, stooped silhouettes of not one but two Warhound Scout Titans stomped into view. The monstrous machines travelled parallel to the abyssal drop-off and the exposed planetary core. As they strode closer and Stroika’s telescoptics pict-resolved in, the skitarii commander was cursed with a vision of annihilation. Watching the first of the godless machines limp closer, it became clear that their hulls had been possessed by daemonic entities. Void shielding that rippled with field-haunting entities flickered with some infernal malfunction. The lupine metal architecture of the Titan’s forward command deck was transmuted into the daemonflesh of some monstrous creature of the warp. While one of its legs retained the corroded workings and plate of its original design, the other was warped and covered in a crustacean-like shell.

It was draped in the power cabling and chains that the Titans had walked through to reach the forge temple in time. At its side it carried the Vulcan mega-bolter it had used to wipe out the Thunderbolts, while the monstrous muzzle of its blast gun dribbled warp-threaded plasma into the freightways below and the buildings it was demolishing beneath its huge feet.”
