Assault: Collectors Base

A battle for Tyrant’s entertainment and to see which team has the superior composition he’s gathered two teams. One formed of evil forces to protect the Collector Base of the Mass Effect Universe. Than their are the attackers of the forces of good to destroy the evil of the Collectors.

Attackers Role Call:

Team Leader-Revan: Decided for his Strategic and Tactical knowledge Revan (Star Wars) will be leading his team through the Collector Base.

Team Brawler-Agent Venom (Marvel):He’s been filled in as to what the Collectors do so he’s deemed it a necessity to join forces with Revan and assist him in the destruction of the Collector Base.

Team Marksman-Master Chief:The Master Chief (Halo) has been chosen for his willpower and determination to save humanity from past extraterrestrial foes and he shall do so once more. For his Loadout will the the Forerunner Scattershot as his primary means of Short to Mid Range combat. As his secondary Weapon to deal with heavily armored unit’s he’s been loaded with The UNSC Spartan Laser. On his hip sits the standard UNSC Pistol meant for those sticky situations where the Scattershot just won’t be quick enough. A knife for CQC if it reaches that point and 4 Promethean Pulse Grenades and 4 Covenant Plasma Grenades. For his guns he’ll be permitted unlimited ammo though his grenades won’t have the same rule. They’re the only grenades he gets in his initial loadout.

(Cortana is absent unless she’s proven to improve the Chiefs survivability though if so she may not interact with the Collector Base)

Team Monster-Predalien: This sole Predalien (Alien vs Predator) had been mentally manipulated into serving Revan in order to serve his purpose of attacking and destroying the collector base.

Team Technician-EDI:This is going to be interesting seeing as EDI will be aloud her Robot Body though all info from the Collector Base has been deleted she not only serves as the team technician but their ride out on the Normandy if they get out alive.

Team Reinforcements-Six Covenant phantoms full of Sangheili. They have access to all of their infantry weapons. (No Vehicles)

Defenders Role Call:

Team Leader-Saber Alter (Fate): The King of Britain has been brought forth from the Throne of Heroes to lead the Defense of The Collector base. Her immediate corruption to the form of Saber Alter has allowed her mind to solidify around protecting such a wicked place.

Team Brawler-Solomon Grundy:Solomon Grundy (DC) was brought forth from his swamps to do battle for Saber Alter’s forces.

Team Marksman-Durge (Star Wars): He was commanded with the termination of any and all threats to the Collector Basse, it helps when he get to kill while on the job.

Team Monster-Nemesis: Nemesis (Resident Evil) has been ‘reporgrammed’ to serve Saber Alter’s purposes and is to protect the Collector Base at all costs. (Melee combat only no weapons)

Team Technician-Harbinger (Collector General): The Collector General will serve as the Defenders means of organinzing and rallying the Collector Bases defenses to their needed points. He may assume Direct Control to assist in the fighting.

Team Reinforcements-Collectors:The collectors forces in the Collector Base are at The Defender’s disposal. All types of units are avaliable (Including those from Mass Effect 3).

The Attackers will have to destroy the Human Reaper as well.

Who will win?

Cortana is absent unless she’s proven to improve the Chiefs survivability

Wasn’t this pretty much blatantly stated throughout the books and games? That she made him better at his job?

I don’t think Nemesis is going to be doing much is he? (Only has movie-based knowledge of RE) Alice was kicking his ass and she isn’t absurdly strong.

That said, Collectors by themselves should be pretty useful- particle cannons, massive blast doors (admittedly, Spartan Laser has great feats for shooting through those), and the massive cloud of Seeker Swarms that will paralyze you if you get stung. Enough of them can physically carry you away if they get concentrated enough.

Also, is this counting the Collector Cruiser and the Oculus drones? Cause those might make those Covenant ships rather worthless if they can get inside and wreck shit.

I’m going with team two, they have a solid front line in Grundy and Durge both of whom are almost impossible to kill. It does not help that I don’t think that Team 1 has a way to kill Durge, don’t entirely know how Grundy’s I’m a zombie thing works entirely but he has taken building destroying blows before so he will be very hard to deal with.

First of all I didn’t think this would get posted for quite some time. So Huzzah Internet Cookies for everyone! 😀

Well the Collector Crusier was single-handedly destroyed by the Normandy the first time around so the results shouldn’t be much difference but for Match Stipulation I only said Six Phantoms to explain the means of Covenant Troops getting to and from the Collector Base.

As to the Cortana stipulations I wasn’t sure :/ so apologies I just tried to get MC a match that he has a chance.

Also as for nemesis, I’m not sure if this is cannon but their is this Where Nemesis has a drill hand that contests with drilling equipment meant for deep underground so that’s a nice little feat there.

Also as to the Movie version meh IIRC (Hadn’t seen it in awhile) But they underplayed how….persistent he can be.

Also on the side how decent is this match?

Ok, its my phone acting buggy. One mystery solved.

Would it be possible for the predalien to use a few willing ( or unwilling) elites as hosts to make xenomorphs like it did in avp:r? If so, than the attack team would have a small hoard of xeno shock troops ( avp:r xenos were pumped into people by the predalien 4 to 8 at a time ) controled by the predalien( whome Revan controls). Not to mention that they would be xeno/elite hybrids

  8. Monochrome June 23, 2015 at 12:59 am -      #8

I’d think that the Elite’s wouldn’t be too happy about being turned to living incubators. That and I’d believe that would weaken Team 1’s strength due to losing elites with weaponry and shields. That and those shock troops would get paralyzed by the Collector Swarm since they lack shields.

Nemesis in the games is very hard to kill, he gets repeatedly blown up,
set on fire, electrocuted, knocked off a tall building, dumped in acid,
blasted with an experimental railgun and shot an uncountable amount of times.

And he Still just keeps coming, he even keeps going without his head,
hell by the end he’s just a mass of formless flesh and it still crawls after you.

“As to the Cortana stipulations I wasn’t sure :/ so apologies I just tried to get MC a match that he has a chance.”

I’d say give MC Cortana, it’d definitely help his chances in any fight.
Solomon Grundy has a death aura type thing like N52 Doomsday IIRC. So, being around him might not be the best idea for anyone on the Attack Team. Been awhile since I’ve read the early Earth 2 stuff.

  11. Super Combine June 23, 2015 at 1:17 am -      #11

So how many Collector fodder are there on the base? Team 1 has 180 Elites of unspecified rank as reinforcements.

  12. Monochrome June 23, 2015 at 1:22 am -      #12

    @CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets

That’s what I figured so yeah MC get’s Cortana.

    @Super Combine

I’d wanna say the entirety of the collector base’s forces (Except Oculus Drones) Though I don’t believe it was ever specified how many Collectors were in the Collector Base. Though I’m open to giving a solid number for Collector forces.

  13. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 1:22 am -      #13

True…..human, what of the abducted colonists in the collector base. They could be used as hosts ( and with tens of thousands taken there were bound to be people still in pods ripe for the picking.) Another point i would like to make is the xeno acid blood wouldn’t that destroy the seakerswarm drones just be them having to punch through the xeno’s exoskeleton

  14. Monochrome June 23, 2015 at 1:25 am -      #14

I guess that could work though I don’t believe the eggs would have enough time to possibly mature to adult hood and be assets. As to the Seeker Drones I don’t recall there stingers drawing blood. Just stinging and locking you down.

  15. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 1:33 am -      #15

Thats just it, the predalien doesn’t need eggs . It pumps the embryos straight into a host. They also mature twice as fast as normal xenos (popping out in minutes instead of hours). I mean, in a few hours the predalien had a few hundred xenos and killed off 80% of that town in avp:r.

  16. Monochrome June 23, 2015 at 1:44 am -      #16

Well as you said a couple hours, Would the Pred have the time to *Insert Tongue here* in multiple humans and have a venerable swarm to deal with the Collectors? I’m curious now as to see if we may end up with a Xenomorph swarm actually coming onto the possible playing field.

  17. CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets June 23, 2015 at 1:55 am -      #17

Yea, Solomon Grundy might be able to solo by just life sucking everything:

There’s a few other scans of him doing it, but you get the gist.
GL’s strength isn’t enough to handle Grundy.

Later on in the series he was keeping a planet from falling through a boomtube.
Survives a jump to Earth from the moon.

  18. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 2:04 am -      #18

I would say yes. Say, hypotheticaly, that Revan “ordered” it to make a swarm. Like all xenos, the predalien is highly mobile, stealthy and can climb any surface. The rest of its team would provide the perfect distraction. While the defenders get bogged down by team one’s main assault, the Predalien could go unnoticed, building its force until its ordered to strike. The xenos would literally be coming out of the walls due to the base’s insect hive like construction….an environment the xeno excels at fighting in

    @CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets

Than I guess we need to figure out which incarnation is more fair. So as to prevent my mistake of placing someone much stronger than the rest of his allies/competitors. That and seeing as his origins lie in the fact he’s a Batman villain originally (IIRC) So I expected someone strong but not as strong as you showed.

I guess the possibility is there though that area may have more security than the Predalien could handle. That and I’d still like to know how long it takes Predalien spawned Xenomorphs to fully mature. Because I don’t think Team 1 can last that long against the collectors for several hours.

  20. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 2:19 am -      #20

I’ll try and find clips tomorrow when im not on my phone. I will say that the Predalien is probably at, or slightly above, praytorian level in terms of strength and such, and praytorians are just below the queen in a typical xeno hive, serving as her personal guard of sorts

  21. CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets June 23, 2015 at 2:25 am -      #21

“Than I guess we need to figure out which incarnation is more fair.”

Grundy is one of those characters that fluctuates a lot, I forget if it’s just because of plot or if there’s an actual reason though. I do recall PostC-PreFP/PreN52 he was capable of taking on the entire JL. So, there’s that. Lowk, Xornell, or Rag probably could think of a better incarnation for him, to be honest, maybe even Jake.

  22. Limbo Lowk June 23, 2015 at 2:44 am -      #22

“Well the Collector Crusier was single-handedly destroyed by the Normandy the first time around”

Normandy is a frigate though. Plus in an incarnation it has a weapon that gives it crusier level firepower.
    Collector D.E.W.

    Collector ship glasses colony

    Praetorian vaporizing

Hopefully they can avoid that thing. Iirc the is a chance the even if you manage to bring it down it release some gas or something.
I got nothing on grundy besides the earth 2 stuff.

  23. CH1C4N0444 is allergic to bullets June 23, 2015 at 2:47 am -      #23

“I got nothing on grundy besides the earth 2 stuff.”

Alright then, maybe Xornell, Rag, or Jake can help out there.

  24. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 3:08 am -      #24

Oh, something I just thought of. Revan is leading the attack team.
Does he have access to all his powers, skills and abilities from the games?
I don’t know about ToR, but KotOR gives him powers like force storm ( suped up force lightning) death field( drains the life from all targets in the area to heal him.) Force heal to himself and his allies, force speed , and so on. Even powers that can paralyze large groups of enemies at once leaving them completely vulnerable

  25. mack006 June 23, 2015 at 3:25 am -      #25

    Revan vs Saber…
Maybe Saber imo, don’t have much knowledge on Revan so could be wrong

    Agent Venom vs Solomon
    Dunno about those two

    Durge vs Master Chief
Ha ha ha ha… this has been done before and Durge stomps MC

    Predalien vs Nemesis
    Nemesis destroys Predalien

    EDI vs Harbringer Collector
Well, since Harbringer’s avatar acts as some sort of miniboss in the game, me thinks the collector general will win.

    Collectors vs Elites
I think the elites got this, unless Harbringer can possess more collectors.

    Defender wins

  26. Shadow-Knight June 23, 2015 at 9:23 am -      #26

Ok, i fired up my old kotor game and did some quick grinding to level up so i could see the full power list, assumeing we let Revan have all his powers.

Force heal: heals all non robot allies wounds. Cures any poison affecting them.
-force armor: boosts his defense and reflexes, ect….
Master force speed: triples his speed allowing for more attacks and making him a harder target to hit.
-master force valor: boosts the physical abilities of Revan and his allies, makes them immune to poison.
Force immunity: irrelevant here, makes him immune to most force powers.
-improved energy resistance: makes Revan and his allies immune to poison and disease, shields them from energy, sonic, fire, cold, and electrical attacks .
Dominate mind: used in game to force persuade during conversations
-stasis field: paralizes all hostils in a 10 meter radios of a target.
Destroy droid: hits robots with an electrical attack causing massive damage and “stunning any who survive the hit.
-kill: basically a super force choke from hell
Plague: poisons a target, damaging attributes and slowing their movement speed drastically ( only power in game with 100% success rate though that could be game mechanics)
-insanity: causes all enemies in a 10 meter radios of a target to cower in terror.
Force storm: hits a target and all hostiles in 10 meters of it with amped force lightning.
-force wave: a telekinetic explosion throwing all enemies in a 15 meter radios around Revan a distance of 5 meters. The impact with the ground causing heavy damage and stunning enemies.
Death field: drains the life from all enemies in a 10 meter radios around Revan healing him.
-force breach: irrelevant here, nullifies enemy force powers.
Advanced saber throw: able to guide his thrown lightsaber hitting multiple targets.
