    Some feats for Caranthir:

… Zant doesn’t have Dark magic. He has Shadow Magic. “totally different”

How well does Caranthir deal with being completely submerged into a pocket dimension filled with water? Cause Zant does that.

He teleports himself from it. Caranthir is a navigator, mage who is capable to jump between worlds and teleport himself at will.
He doesn’t mutter spells or do spells. He just jumps between worlds. When he needs to teleport troops with him then he creates portal. He himself is not in need of any portals.

From 29:25, Caranthir overpowered power of the all sorceress, freeze area, freeze Geralt, duels Ciri in non-stop teleportation, later fights Geralts while injured and lastly teleports Geralts and himself to the bottom of the ocean in desperate attemt to kill Geralt:

This fight looks like it’s anyone’s game depending on how much of a professional Caranthir is at Warping Reality, either for Mobile or Offensive Purposes especially.
Not that Defensive regards don’t matter here either.

I say it’s anyone’s game unless either Zant messes up or Caranthir got more Aces up his sleeves than expected.

I only know that if it’s from The Witcher games, it must be dangerous.

Now well does he hold up against attacks that alter the properties of his physical and metaphysical state? Zant’s Shadow Crystals turn physical beings into non-corporeal spirits. And while Zant doesn’t use them in his specific fight against Link, he did use them to guard his palace as well as attack all of Hyrule with them throughout the game.

“Now well does he hold up against attacks that alter the properties of his physical and metaphysical state?”

He is the best mage in two worlds, so he have pretty much best magical defences in Witcher. I dunno if this will be enough to block Zant attacks, but Caranthir pretty much immune to charms, curses and soul stealing magic.

If he has protection on his soul and against curses then he should probably okay against Shadow Crystals. Zant didn’t use them in his personal fight anyways so it is entirely possible that he would not use them against Caranthir.

Although rewatching the first encounter with Zant, he did use them to turn Link into Wolf!Link, but that was a by product of his using Shadow Crystals to drain away the power of the Light Spirit (one of Hyrule’s guardian gods).

After he’s done with the Light Spirit he slaps Midna around without even lifting a finger. The red energy ball that he blasts Link with (and later you see it recede into Link’s head) is a curse that Ganon created and gave to Zant; that curse locked Link into Wolf form, but that’s Ganon’s power so I’m not going to bring that up as a viable attack.

The actual boss fight with Zant takes place in his thrown room.

The player here isn’t the best, but this is what tends to happen to me; he teleport attacks onto me and tends to be the hardest part of the fight.

Of special note is that when he is super sized he doesn’t take damage from the Master Sword, which is in one of its most powerful forms in the series at this point in the game. Also check out that standing jumping distance when he is on the pillars; the guy can jump! Flight, magic “not-fireballs”, teleport spam, a pocket dimension, and reality warping. Seems like it will be a pretty cool fight. Zant also set up the barrier around the final battlefield; not that a 10 foot tall wall will really stop a teleporter, but it’s nice to have an extra trick all the same.

Only slightly related, I completely forgot that Zant got obliterated by Midna. She literally blew him up and made him go *pop*. I forgot about that… what a way to go. … of course he got better though because Ganon resurrected him and then he broke his own neck. … Zant is so cool. I’m off track and this entire paragraph is irrelevant. I’m not bringing up his resurrection as a viable feat for the same reason as that curse earlier. Ganon and Zant do that to each other because of a pact. To allow him that would ensure that he always comes back until both are killed at the same time, which would be hard to do when one of them isn’t’ in the match. So I consider it a non-factor. Still a really interesting story bit though. I thought it was a really cool how TP is influenced by so much Easter culture while traditional LoZ is dominated by European influences. Zant is basically an Onmyoji and that has deep repercussions to Twilight Princess’s story.

From 11:35 Caranthir freezes bunch of golems before they can attack. Later from 12:30 he opens several portals into other world and starts to freeze the area and main heroes:
