Champion of Cyrodiil Vs Hero of Oakvale

Champion of Cyrodiil Vs Hero of Oakvale

Suggested by Asger

The Champion of Cyrodiil, first time here (Oblivion) will go up against The Hero of Oakvale, also first time here (Fable) in a battle to see who has performed the more heroic feats.

Who will win?

    First!
The champion repeatedly went in to hell to stop a demon invasion.
What did the hero do?, i never played Fable.

Also i got to say it… The Champ… Is… HERE!!!!!

Are we going with Pre-Ascension Cyrodiil Hero or Post-Ascension?

It makes a Hell of a Difference for a fight like this.

If we’re talking Pre-Ascension and we’re not talking The Hero of Oakvale without The Mask of Jack of Blades, we got a fight on our hands, but giving one of them Ascension or that Mask without handing the opposition the other’s just gonna be the opposite.

    “What did the hero do?”

Fought and beat the guy who tried to take over the world and was responsible for the genocide of most of the worlds hero population. Then when he came back as a dragon he stop him then as well.
That’s the biggest thing I can remember

If its a fight unless wwe take Champion as Sheo, I think Oakvale could take him. Time slow, plus teleport gives him a bit of an advantage.

Oakvale was the 1st Fable right? I assume we’re going with a “Good” hero since that actually changes some things.
    He should have:
AoE Time Slow spell (Slow Time)
    Mind Control spell (Turncoat)
Summon extra weapon to fight independently (Ghost Sword)
Summons a soul from the Netherworld to fight alongside him (Summon)
    Standard Fireball and Lightning spells
Makes his weapon strike multiple times with just one attack (Multi Strike)
Shield that protects from all damage until mana runs out (Physical Shield)
Drop a bunch of energy beams from the sky (Divine Fury)
Teleportation behind an enemy (Assassin’s Rush)

Proficient with any weapon he picks up- though traditionally he prefers a sword and longbow.

This not a vs friendly. This is a contest of heroics. CoC became a god through his adventuring. Oblivion also has many more quests in it than fable does. Oblivion feats of heroism>fable. Though I love the shit out of both games.

    This not a vs friendly.

All I did was list powers *pouts*
The powers the Hero of Oakvale has are relevant for boasting purposes.
    “I can summon demons!”
    ‘Oh yeah? I can teleport!’
    “I can turn invisible!”
    ‘Yeah? I can stop time!’
Just saying, methinks Oakvale has the edge in boasting of what he can do through magic.

Isn’t Jack of Blades a god? Like “Picked up the sea and poured it on the Earth to teach humans some respect” God?
Ah, wasn’t far off- time for Copy+Paste

    Coming of the Court
The Court consisted of three powerful entities: the Knight of Blades, weakest of the three; the Jack of Blades, (the antagonist of Fable and Fable: The Lost Chapters), and the Queen of Blades, most powerful and highest of the three. The Court hails from a place called the Void, a realm outside of Albion unknown to men.

    Conquest of Albion
They came to the world seeking dominance over its people, demanding that they bow down in obedience. The people refused, and in turn, Albion was burned until the earth was as black as the smoke that filled the sky. Once again, the Court demanded total obedience, and again were refused. The result was the raising of the sea into the sky and the flooding of the world. After this next disaster, the Court asked for worship again, this time promising peace, but met the same result. Angry at being refused by lesser beings, the Court twisted the minds of the people of Albion until the entire land was insane. Finally, after many years of suffering, the people bowed down. The Court had won.

    Fall of the Court
As time went by, there came a challenge from one of the denizens of Albion: a man named William Black, who wielded the Sword of Aeons, rose to the highest peak of Albion to fight for the freedom of his people. First to answer the challenge was the Knight, who was quickly slain by Black. Next came the Jack, who proved to be more of a challenge than the Knight. However, the Jack met the same fate as his ally, yet was still able to cheat death by having his essence escape into his mask. Finally, Black challenged the Queen of Blades. Their titanic battle was waged for weeks on end, with mountains and valleys forming as the result of their seemingly endless fight. At last, William threw down the Queen, ending the reign of the Court over Albion.

What are the feats of the Hero of Oakvale?

  9. Darth Sooqa May 30, 2015 at 6:12 pm -      #9

If there could be MY kind of Champion in this contest she will win for sure.
I know feats for both of these heroes and Hero of Oakvale is stronger if you see the lore, but still does nothing against heavy armored war mage absolutely immune to magic, wielding soul draining sword (Umbra), capable of turning invisible, casting devastating single target spells and paralyze an opponent for almost 20 seconds.
Just because there’s MUCH more opportunities for becoming a heavily stomping imba in a free gameplay RPG with open world even if there’s level cap.

“What are the feats of the Hero of Oakvale?”

Not much in the way of cutscenes. He strong enough to wield a hammer like this
    i15.photobucket.com/albums/a384/edward13/04.jpg

    -Can teleport
-Fire up to six homing arrows in a single shot
-Summon four floating swords that attack people.
    -Shoot exploding fireballs.
-Strikes you up to five time in a single hit.
-Fire lightning that arcs. Not sure if it was him or the descendant but it can fry people until only one remains.
-Blast the area around with with fire
-Fire beams of divine power down on people near him
-Create a sustainable protective bubble around him
    -Increase his speedd and strength
    -Heal himself
    -TK blast
    -Slow down time
    -turn people into allies
    -Drain life

Oakvale can slow down time, teleport behind you turn one stab into 5, while 4 other swords attack you.

Yes, I know that stuff, but what about magic immunity? Should we consider it can block time slow and allow Champion to move at her normal speed or is it unblockable as long as it’s targeting an area of the world not a single person and does not inflict direct damage?
And still, heavy armored means Champion can block 85% of incoming physical damage (in-game physical defense cap) until her armor is damaged at least behind 80% of its durability, what means Champion will more likely sustain Hero’s damage while in slowed state and able to heal herself and perform an adequate fightback (like paralyzing the Hero and doing some nasty things while he’s disabled) while time slow is on cooldown (not sure though if it has any cooldown, never picked that spell).
By the way, magic immunity is pretty simple to achieve by picking a breton race and obtaining The Earthen Ring (not sure about its name cause I’ve played only Russian version of TES IV and it’s named “Земное кольцо” here what is literally translated as “The Earthen Ring”. So we have 100% magic defense in outcome and, in my own experience, all spells and weapon enchantment effects will be reflected OR absorbed (if you have any absorption enchantment) but will not affect the Champion herself by any mean. Still, self-buffing and healing works as intended and it seems to be not fair at all!

I mean, I posted what the lore says Jack the Blades is capable of- the Hero of Oakvale took him on and won.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Hero of Oblivion had to have Martin save the day did he not?

Yes, I know that stuff, but what about magic immunity?

Well we can’t really prove exactly what the Champion would have, but complete magic immunity took some serious work; it’s not common.

And still, heavy armored means Champion can block 85% of incoming physical damage

This is what is known as a “game mechanic”, like how most games have a literal health bar.
    Armor is just that, armor.

Sorry for my bad English, I’m native Russian.

    добро пожаловать

The magic isn’t affecting The Champion, it is effecting time itself. Being immune to magic doesn’t make the champion immune to the flow of time.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but the Hero of Oblivion had to have Martin save the day did he not?”
Yes, Martin destroyed the Amulet of Kings and turned into a dragon, an avatar of Akatosh, one of the nine and the most powerful aedra, and then banished Lord Dagon back to Oblivion. Champion just helped Martin to fight his way to the temple through the invading dremoras. That’s why I’ve said
“Hero of Oakvale is stronger if you see the lore”.

Champion’s powers, equipment and abilities have much higher variability if compared with Hero’s ones.
So I think we should make a class competition with determined equipment and abilities: Assassin vs Assassin, Magician vs Magician and Swordsman vs Swordsman cause mixed classes and custom equip/skillset are too messy to calculate.

And thanks for a warm welcome, you’re truly friendly… sociopath.

Been gone for a long while but this fight needs assistance… So Feats for CoC
Defeated a fully powered Jyggalag (Most powerful Daedric prince in existance)
Became the god of madness Sheogorath
Became the champion of the nine divines, and the daedric princes.
    Leader of every guild
    Rides an immortal horse
Invaded the realm of Oblivion by himself, and the only people even capable of doing such a feat was a zerg rush of argonian warriors.

Now then I’ve played alot of the fable games mainly 2, and 3, and a bit of lost chapters, but from what I’ve been able to look up the Hero doesn’t really stand a chance.

  16. Darth Sooqa May 31, 2015 at 5:18 am -      #16

Okay, there’s what the Hero of Oakvale should be remembered for:
    – won a duel against The Twinblade, one of the strongest heroes ever existed;
    – slew the Great White Balverine in the Witchwood forest;
    – became a Champion of the Witchwood Arena (even though the Champion of Cyrodiil was a Grand Champion of the Imperial City arena);
    – liberate his mother, Scarlet Robe, and defeated the Kraken in the prison dungeons;
    – won a fight against Jack of Blades himself and (probably) obtained the Sword of Eons;
    – defeated Jack in his dragon form AND became a new living vessel for Jack of Blades’ soul (if the mask is taken) OR destroyed Jack of Blades completely (by throwing the mask away).
Not that much if compared to the Champion but still cosiderable.
