    Some questions:
Is Shinji driving or is EVA 01 going to be on its own?
Is this the EVA 01 after it gets its own S2 engine?
Does it for any reason lose access to its regeneration?

I dunno abou the other guys, but the death saurer is one of the baddest ass land bound mechs in fiction. It has weird powers that allows him to reverse explosions and absorb them. The same power lets him multiply his beam attacks to blow up a dozen cities all over the earth at the same time.

“Is Shinji driving or is EVA 01″

    Yes and he is bloodlusted.

“Is this the EVA 01 after it gets its own S2 engine?”

Dunno, but EVA is from recent anime remake, at it’s strongest.

About team 1. Can’t post a lot right now, but here is something:

    About Gauna in general:

46 gaunas were able to cut the Earth:

    z.mhcdn.net/store/manga/5777/02-008.0/compressed/ckos_c08_010.jpg?v=11278324550

They can be hit by such round and they are only KO’ed by them:

Gauna was hit by this and was only KO’ed:

Tsumugi was able to lift this rock with a help of the Guardian mk 19:

    Gauna’s biology:

    And now for battle feats:

Clash between Tsumugi and Benisuzume was visible from orbit:

Benisuzume was speedlitz by mark 21 Guardian, but right before Guardian could fire his head cannon for second time, Benisuzume copied his weapon and fired at him:

The death saurer is basically the load in this match. Sure, it has the firepower to hurt team sidonia but Gauna can regenerate and have the speed and firepower to crush the death saurer. Push comes to shove they could toss hypersonic chunks of concrete at it.

Unit 01 is a different matter. Neither Tsumugi or Benisuzume have the weapons needed to breach the AT field. On the other hand, they can escape to orbit independently. They could cut the umbilical, escape to orbit, and wait. However, if 01 has an S2 organ they may need to drop Deimos on it.

    @Belisaurius

“Neither Tsumugi or Benisuzume have the weapons needed to breach the AT field.”

What is the strongest thing this field tanked?
Because clashes between Tsugumi and Benisuzume were visible from orbit.

What is the strongest thing this field tanked?

Not sure honestly; even Sachiel was able to take a nuke without much difficulty.
Later, they used a (big) sniper rifle powered by literally all of Japan’s power to break Ramiel’s AT field.
The wiki says that was 180 million kilowatts needed to pierce the field.

Granted, I don’t know how this applies to EVA-01’s AT field except that apparently the science is “It takes an AT field to take down an AT field”.

Err, did Evangelion get a retcon? I’m seeing something about ‘Rebuild’.

“Err, did Evangelion get a retcon? I’m seeing something about ‘Rebuild’.”
Yeah, Rebuild is a series of movies that act as a remake/possible stealth sequel.

“What is the strongest thing this field tanked?”
If we’re talking any AT-Field there’s the time Zeruel takes a half dozen or so nukes point-blank without even slowing down.

If we’re talking Unit-01 specifically, in Rebuild it tanks a hit from Ramiel’s laser, which melts about a third of the mountain around it.

See it briefly starting at 1:05

As far as Rookie stating that this is Eva-01 from the recent remake, at its strongest, that would be during this:
    www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrS6VEacLl4
    From 1:45 onwards.
For those saying Team 1 should cut its umbilical, note that here it’s already out of power (you can see earlier in the clip) and running purely on Shinji’s willpower.
It’s annoying that I can’t seem to find a clip of this same fight in english. Ugh.

    Blood-lusted Shinji life-wipes.
    =
“Later, they used a (big) sniper rifle powered by literally all of Japan’s power to break Ramiel’s AT field.”

They hit the field with positrons, which are anti-electrons, i.e. anti-matter. Regular matter has never been shown to get through an AT-field on its own.

Zeruel can effectively blink and city-bust. Blood-lusted Shinji had an AT field capable of no-selling this attack.
    =
Shinki also blasts right through Zeruel’s AT field and armor, despite the fact that Zeruel took one giant-ass bomb (it’s supposed to be non-nuclear in-series…but everyone doubts that) to the face without the AT field and survived.

    @Aelfinn

    “Blood-lusted Shinji life-wipes.”

Not enough to kill Benisuzume honestly. Planet busting torpedos werenot enough to kill normal Gauna, much less elite Gauna like Beni.

    ““Blood-lusted Shinji life-wipes.””
He doesn’t do it the traditional way with pure destructive force. He does it by kicking off the next Impact and liquefying all life on the planet via attacking their souls.
    It’s Eva. It’s weird.

  11. Aelfinn May 8, 2015 at 1:28 pm -      #11

lol I was pretty much joking when I said that Shinji life-wipes in this case.

“Planet busting torpedos werenot enough to kill normal Gauna, much less elite Gauna like Beni.”

Are you talking about that torpedo that blew up that asteroid in that one scan? Destroying asteroids does not take planet-busting levels of energy. Also, the impact that apparently KO’d them in the ocean looks very much like an underwater nuclear test.

“Are you talking about that torpedo that blew up that asteroid in that one scan?”

No, I am talking about torpedo which blew up gas giant.

KOS torpedos do not blow up planets through sheer force. They have some kind of chain reaction which results in the planet eventually getting torn apart.. The force is not enough to effectively destroy the planet though. It will eventually reconstitute itself with the force of its sheer gravity. It is enough to life wipe though, except for maybe some lucky extremophiles… not sure if I spelled that right.

    Gauna obviously can survive it.

It is a good tank feat for the Gauna. Not exactly a good quantitative attack feat for the humans but.. whatever, we’re not using those in this match, are we?

KOS by the way is like the best anime I’ve seen in a while. If you haven’t seen it, watch it. The last I watched all the way through was Attack on Titan and I was kind of let down by it’s lack of any real violence, lack of any real despair despite their situation, and the silliness of their enemies. The Gauna are genuinely strange, and creepy in their strangeness, unlike the titans. They inflict real body horror upon the viewer. It telegraphs a bit strongly who will die next but that’s it’s only flaw, really.

Also, tits, if that’s your thing. If not, the realism involved with their nudity and lack of gratuitous fan service simply for the sake of it is relieving.

Death Saurer seems completely out of left field in this match, it’s so unlike any of the other three. It does bring more fire power than any of the others though. However, we don’t know how strong its tank is. They only ever punched through its weak spot with an attack that can’t really be measured.

  14. Belisaurius May 14, 2015 at 10:32 am -      #14

…Huh, this is pretty non-sequitur but I just realized that since the Gauna have nothing to do with earth, humanity, or the angels kicking off Nth Impact isn’t going to phase them. Well, Tsumugi might be affected as she’s half human (DO NOT ASK HOW SHE WAS MADE) but Benisuzume wouldn’t even notice.
