He had this rage mode in the Anime, where he became… umm… fiery and shit?
    i.ytimg.com/vi/wFLwFzT7FwY/maxresdefault.jpg
It made him considerably faster & stronger, since he roflstomped someone he was on an equal footing with (or even losing to) before.

Although it never happened in the Manga.

Flynn from Shin Megami Tensei IV joins the fray, unless Post-Changes Dresden just takes a stroll and destroys both sides here like a Tuesday minute all while finding his family some books they can read.
Which then robs Flynn of some guys he ought to go fight right now, sadly enough.

Either way, Bryce Papenbrook SOLOS this fight!

This should have been a Battle Royale between all the guys Bryce Papenbrook ever voiced, people would like to go see that IMHO!

Also anyone wanna call PIS with Marvel vs Attack on Titan by chance?
AoT is lucky 616 SS Strange didn’t show up in there or the crisis in AoT would have been dealt with in Femto-seconds, if not less than that even.
How many FTL Lunatics on Marvel’s side got Nerfed for that matter in there?

How do those Titans stack up next to their Cosmic Namesakes in terms of regeneration or durability?
Likely not all that well to me.

“Also anyone wanna call PIS with Marvel vs Attack on Titan by chance?”

It was Cinematic Universe Marvel. So it’s not really PiS.

“How many FTL Lunatics on Marvel’s side got Nerfed for that matter in there?”

    …None?

I could have sworn that was 616 or even Ultimate Marvel-verse there.
I stand corrected for at least part of it due to mis-recalling stuff.
Well they likely didn’t have Spider-man with them at the time, granted I’m not too sure how well Live-Action Spidey would hold up compared to everyone else against those things but still he’s no wimp in himself.

Well in any case, in 6 hours or more a lot of people are gonna go mobilize for a matter like this, and I stand by my witty comment on ‘Bryce Papenbrook SOLOS’ still.

As I tried to ask before, How do Titans from Attack on Titan stack up to their Divine-type Cosmic Namesakes from the Ancient Times and whatnot?

They don’t strike me as stacking up too well in threat magnitudes compared to The Witches of Madoka Magica or The Warlocks of The Butcher Side to be honest.

@To everyone else in-and-out of this site.

Speaking of Witches, I forgot to tell you this, Happy Walpurgisnacht/Night of the Witches Day 2015, yesterday was Walpurgisnacht Eve 2015, today is Walpurgisnacht Day!

“I could have sworn that was 616 or even Ultimate Marvel-verse there.”

It was the exact same characters that MCU owns, and they were all in their MCU costumes.
Spiderman’s also an official part of the MCU now 😀

How is Kirito supposed to even beat Eren?
He has no knowledge of the single weak point to take advantage of.

Is there a limit to Eren’s titan form? Like, fatigue or something? Haven’t been keeping up with AoT.

While I’m at it, which incarnation of Kirito?
By his own admission, he’s gotten weaker since he got out of Aincrad.
Bearing in mind when he made this statement in GGO, he was able to swing his sword and cut a sniper round in half after it was fired, from around 10m away.

If we go with most recent incarnation, which is GGO to my knowledge, he at least has a handgun to shoot out Eren’s eyes temporarily.
But again, no knowledge on the single weak point.

Anime fans are funny, all over Youtube they swear the Titan’s should have won!.
That they got nerfed and that it was american favortisam.

One huy sang Hulk Hogan’s theme song in a sarcastic manner before claiming racism.
Another said Marvel was desperate to get a boost from AoT’s “huge” fanbase.
I was gonna retort but… in the comments they could barley spell… 😐

    @Numinous
Well if we’re going by Anime, he’s back over in Alfheim (the second series already aired through the Sleeping Knights arc in sub Toonami is behind the curve) so he has his flight, duel wielding is back on the table, and he also has Excalibur. On top of also haven caught up to roughly where they are in the original Aincrad in the new Aincrad if I remember right. The boss fight to get Excalibur actually involved fighting a giant.

Light Novels I’m not sure what is going on in current in those.

Also I’m confused what does round two mean? Equal Ground? Does that mean no Titan form?

  15. Jake_Uzumaki May 1, 2015 at 7:51 am -      #15

And I also have no idea where the Accel World Crossover takes place….or how canon it is.

  16. Nsl98 May 1, 2015 at 11:26 am -      #16

    So, what are Eren’s reactions?

  17. Ciridae Hunter May 1, 2015 at 11:49 am -      #17

He’s not terribly fast, considering the fact that a couple Titans nom his leg off/eat him; he has the 3D gear, but it runs on fuel and grappling to largely get around-a huge disadvantage when faced with actual flight.

  18. Friendlysociopath May 1, 2015 at 11:49 am -      #18

Er, how does fighting Kirito work when he literally has a health bar to determine how hurt he is?

  19. Ciridae Hunter May 1, 2015 at 11:52 am -      #19

I recall Kirito saying he has uber health-Regen when he just stands around a group of low-level warriors as they slice him up with swords-the whole “you can do this all day” speech.

  20. Friendlysociopath May 1, 2015 at 11:58 am -      #20

the whole “you can do this all day” speech.

Comparatively, they were barely doing damage to him because he was such a higher level. When someone closer attacks him his arm gets cut off.

  21. MatthiasTheWanderer May 1, 2015 at 12:11 pm -      #21

We really need to iron down exactly which Kirito we’re using here. Aincrad? GGO? Alfheim? They all have different abilities and advantages. I’d say either Aincrad, (his most recognizable form, with the most feats,) or Alfheim, (his most current form).

  22. Ciridae Hunter May 1, 2015 at 1:34 pm -      #22

In my opinion, Eren isn’t a threat in his human form-at least not where Kirito is concerned; killing monsters bigger and (sometimes) faster than humans is a norm for him, so I suppose Titan form is the only “equal” ground as both the Titan and Kirito regenerate health.

By the by, is Eren’s Super-Saiyan Rage Mode a part of this match since it doesn’t occur in the manga? Or are we having conjoined canon?

  23. MatthiasTheWanderer May 1, 2015 at 1:44 pm -      #23

Definitely. Nobody expects Eren to win outside of his titan form. As for the rage mode, I actually have to wonder if it would even be an advantage here. Yes he gets a rage-fueled boost in strength and speed, but he literally rips himself apart in seconds by fighting like that. If Kirito survives the initial onslaught, Eren would be in serious trouble.

  24. Jake_Uzumaki May 1, 2015 at 2:52 pm -      #24

Well in the current Light Novels he’s in a new game but I haven’t read that arc.
His most recent Alfheim form would be quite troublesome for even Titan Eren, if only because he can fly at possibly supersonic speeds..on top of dual wielding. From what I’ve heard though his current light novel form is pretty comparable to his SAO form and has a sword capable of cutting a shield without actually touching the shield and is able to use all the techniques he had in Alfheim and Aincrad.
But yeah he’s fought plenty of giant critters before.
    A dragon

Gleam Eyes though don’t think Gleam Eyes is quite as big as Titan Eren

    Then there was this lovely…thing

And before any of that there was Eldritch Santa sadly we don’t see the fight, but he solo’d and that was before dual wielding, getting more physically powerful, and if we go with Alfheim flight.

Also he can run along the sides of walls, shows he’s taken the out of game skill of bullet time and can use it to cut through magic…not relevent just crazy.
Also has him bust out Excalibur…but the fight itself again didn’t get shown -_-

But yeah Kirito’s got a bit of a pedigree against giants.

  25. Jake_Uzumaki May 1, 2015 at 2:57 pm -      #25

Also can’t find the fight, but he had to fight Thyrm the Frost Giant King who is from what I can find 15 meters tall, he had help, but he also couldn’t fly during the fight like he would be here if its Alfheim Kirito. Interestingly this giant bosses weakpoint was in the area of his beard the face/neck region. Kirito may assume Eren’s Titan form has a similar weakpoint based on that…but I don’t know.

Considering what happened with the last match posted by this OP I say we should probably agree on an incarnation.

  26. Ciridae Hunter May 1, 2015 at 3:03 pm -      #26

I agree; Kirito has too many variations between worlds and making him composite would be stomptastic.

  27. Jake_Uzumaki May 1, 2015 at 3:12 pm -      #27

I’d say Calibur Arc Alfheim Kirito would probably be the fairest.
Plus due to his Spriggan illusion magic it did let him do this back when he first started Alfheim (starting 2:33). I think its this scene that’s caused this to be such a requested fight on the internet.

  28. Namer May 2, 2015 at 4:36 am -      #28

Does Eren have the weakness of other Titans of that vulnerability at the back of his neck?
    .
If he does, Kirito’s fast and and agile enough to clamber up him and slice him up there, while ALO’s Kirito could easily kite him all day.
    .
And if Eren doesn’t start in Titan form, Kirito could probably blitz him instantly. To my knowledge, Eren isn’t supersonic. If he is, then the fight got a whole lot fairer, but until then, Kirito speedblitzes.

  29. Ragnorke May 2, 2015 at 7:14 am -      #29

“Does Eren have the weakness of other Titans of that vulnerability at the back of his neck?”

Yep, but how would Kirito know about that?

“And if Eren doesn’t start in Titan form, Kirito could probably blitz him instantly. ”

I think he should. Atleast in one of the two rounds.

  30. Jake_Uzumaki May 2, 2015 at 10:52 am -      #30

“but how would Kirito know about that?”

He wouldn’t but the last time he fought a 15 meter tall giant in game its weakness was in the neck region. He might attack it just to see if its the same case with this one.

“I think he should. Atleast in one of the two rounds.”

So random encounter round base Eren
    Equal Ground round Titan Eren
    seem reasonable?

  31. Friendlysociopath May 2, 2015 at 10:57 am -      #31

So random encounter round base Eren
    Equal Ground round Titan Eren
    seem reasonable?

I mean, Kirito would have to reach him before he transformed- I don’t particularly like AoT but I don’t recall the transformation taking very long.

  32. Jake_Uzumaki May 2, 2015 at 11:30 am -      #32

Doesn’t Eren’s require him to bite his own finger still? So they’d start..he’d have to decide if he wants to go Titan or fight sword to sword…then react accordingly. How far apart would they start?Would Eren automatically go Titan against someone his own age and size that just has swords?

  33. Friendlysociopath May 2, 2015 at 11:45 am -      #33

Doesn’t Eren’s require him to bite his own finger still?

I think he gets a ring or something that lets him do it faster.

Would Eren automatically go Titan against someone his own age and size that just has swords?

I feel like basic knowledge of your opponent would include some combination of “A human/creature from another reality that doesn’t obey your physical laws.” From there it’s mostly a matter of character, to which you raise a good point- Eran likely wouldn’t go Titan right off the bat against a ‘human’.

  34. Jake_Uzumaki May 2, 2015 at 6:03 pm -      #34

I haven’t gotten caught up to the manga so I wouldn’t know for sure if he has a spike ring like the girl did or not. If he did then it would just fall to how fast can Eren react to an attacking opponent who could be on him in a matter of seconds or less depending on how far apart they are (I hate when the scenario’s are too vague)

Considering Eren won’t go Titan against a seeming human he’s going to be in trouble when swords clash…Kirito has cut through/broken swords made of various fantasy world metals before (and possibly some steel) breaking the somewhat brittle if hardened blades Eren has.

That said someone with the 3D Maneuver Gear vs someone capable of flight would be a kind of awesome fight to see, its probably going to be one sided in this particular instance since Kirito has some serious striking strength with his weapons (plus being able to swing around a Zweihander type blade with one hand is impressive…possibly more impressive being when he did it with Leafa’s katana in the other hand.

You know considering Kirito’s somewhat crazy physical stats for a “human” I wonder how one of his Avatar’s would do against Samurai Jack or Fuhrer King Bradley (possibly make it a three way fight)

  35. Friendlysociopath May 2, 2015 at 6:16 pm -      #35

breaking the somewhat brittle if hardened blades Eren has.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that they carry extra blades since they break easily.

Kirito has cut through/broken swords made of various fantasy world metals before

To be fair, his own swords have been broken in a similar fashion more than once.

You know considering Kirito’s somewhat crazy physical stats for a “human”

Some of them are based on game stats though- which is why I get so confused about how to debate him properly.
For example, in the first world, he can simply allow the low-level plebs to cut him with impunity because they aren’t high enough in level to properly damage him; then later than knight that betrays him slices his hand off. It’s a matter of level and stats- something other people aren’t going to have.
Or like his ability to simply “lolnope” a lance in the first episode of… whichever season where he’s a Spriggan. He can only do that because he’s such a higher level that the enemy, it’s directly related to in-game stats.

  36. Jake_Uzumaki May 2, 2015 at 6:43 pm -      #36

Oh I know they have more but would he be able to get the new blades on before Kirito goes Starburst Stream on him? (Especially if we go with current light novel, cut a shield without actually touching it Kirito)

Yeah Kirito is tricky, which is generally why I try to focus more on his physical abilities (speed strength) than the hax stuff like his battle regen. I guess the argument could be made that the regen would only come into play against someone sufficiently physically below him, but generally I just ignore it since its low level regen at best anyway.
Or maybe only bring it up against other virtual characters (since the mechanics are easier to rationalize) and for the sake of this just assume he works like a human physically as far as damage goes(or at least works as would be reasonable for someone of his physical capabilities) in matches with non virtual characters.

  37. Friendlysociopath May 2, 2015 at 7:21 pm -      #37

(Especially if we go with current light novel, cut a shield without actually touching it Kirito)

Could I get a scan of that btw?

Yeah Kirito is tricky, which is generally why I try to focus more on his physical abilities (speed strength)

But isn’t strength also part of his level? I’m genuinely asking because the rules of the MMOs in that universe are weird and kind of stupid at certain points from a gaming perspective.

  38. Jake_Uzumaki May 2, 2015 at 8:30 pm -      #38

it’d be a quote not a scan and sadly I don’t have access to that particular novel just saw something about it on the wiki

Physical stats wise I suppose we could just use the excuse of he trained to that level like we do with some of Batman’s weirder physical feats. It makes no less sense than it would for someone like Samurai Jack and his jump good thing.

  39. Ragnorke May 3, 2015 at 5:44 am -      #39

“I mean, Kirito would have to reach him before he transformed- I don’t particularly like AoT but I don’t recall the transformation taking very long.”

He managed to partially transform before a canon round reached him… Which is pretty fast?

  40. Jake_Uzumaki May 3, 2015 at 8:38 am -      #40

Probably it depends, cannons have several variables I think, size of the charge and the ball itself, type of cannon, possibly size of the cannon I’m not sure, then the fact they knew the cannons would be fired should probably be accounted for..not sure how much that would actually detract or not. I’m not an expert on cannons though.

  41. Friendlysociopath May 3, 2015 at 9:20 am -      #41

I’m not an expert on cannons though.

Most of us aren’t experts on anything we discuss here :p

I recall the feat you’re thinking of, but he definitely transforms after the round is fired.

  42. Jake_Uzumaki May 3, 2015 at 9:54 am -      #42

been a while since I watched so I genuinely couldn’t remember when he transformed.

Still that brings us back to the question, how would Eren react to being randomly attacked by someone that by appearances is a normal human with two swords. Would he try to fight man to man or fight Titan to man

  43. Ciridae Hunter May 3, 2015 at 10:03 am -      #43

Eren seems like the person to go Mano-a-mano rather than Titan-to-man; Kirito would have to display supernatural powers while rampaging like a monster for Eren to consider going Titan.

I saw a comment on the swords that Eren has as part of the 3D-gear, and it always seems like they are brittle-but isn’t the blood of Titans acidic? If so, then they can be treated like military sabers in quality (there are also 8-10 blades per side of the 3D-gear, so running out shouldn’t be an issue in the fight)

  44. Jake_Uzumaki May 3, 2015 at 10:40 am -      #44

I was basing the probably brittle nature on the fact they are prone to breaking easily against hardened surfaces (female Titan’s hardened parts and the Armored Titans natural armor), not that any sword is made to casually cut through hardened materials but compared to Kirito’s swords (which have depending on which avatar we use encountered multiple creatures with natural armor or armored body parts) its possible that the blades have a high carbon concentration which would make the steel harder, but also make it less flexible under high stress situations. such as breaking on the first strike against armored creatures.

Would he try to fight man to man or fight Titan to man

Just pointing out, he didn’t have an issue with turning into a Titan to save his friends. Is he reluctant to use that form?

how would Eren react to being randomly attacked by someone that by appearances is a normal human with two swords

Background info, not to mention the first time Kirito does something remotely superhuman Eren would be aware of the threat if he wasn’t already.
Speedblitzing appears to be less of a threat than I initially thought since Eren can react to cannon-fire.

  47. sierra117 May 6, 2015 at 11:11 am -      #47

he can react because he know when it will fire

  48. Friendlysociopath May 6, 2015 at 11:31 am -      #48

he can react because he know when it will fire

He manged to gather his friends, bite his finger, transform and then catch the cannonball.
    All after it fired.

  49. Nsl98 May 6, 2015 at 12:37 pm -      #49

How fast is a cannonball? Mach 1-2?

  50. Friendlysociopath May 6, 2015 at 1:26 pm -      #50

    How fast is a cannonball?

Depends on a crap ton of stuff, size of the ball, type of cannon, amount of powder, angle of cannon, etc.
Generally just slightly less than Mach 1; though AoT seems very advanced in certain areas (fighting for your race’s survival will do that for you) like weapons so calling it Mach 1 would be fairly accurate.

Then again… they apparently deliberately suppress technology to keep order within the walls so… (shrug)

  51. Nsl98 May 6, 2015 at 1:34 pm -      #51

Mach 1 seems to be a good low end.

That said, isn’t Kirito like a speedy sword dude type? I’ve heard he can bullet time.

  52. sierra117 May 7, 2015 at 1:06 pm -      #52

    @Nsl98:
Kirito’s attacks is much more faster than eye, and hs can run with supersonic speed while carrying Leafa, in Phantom Bullet arc, h easily block all shot that fired from a machine gun and cut the bullet that Sinon shoot at him (their distant is 10m and she was using a sniper rifle) in half
