Talion (Shadow of Mordor) goes up against Kratos (God of War)
Kratos appears in Middle Earth, and begins slaughtering the innocents.
Talion, taking a break from attempting to forge a new ring, decides to investigate.
They encounter each other near the Black Gate of Mordor.
Who would win?
Some feats for Talion:
–
I think Talion can win this, he’s not super strong, but he’s quick and has that teleport in front of you with his sword instantly in your gut thing.
But question…is this to the first death? Because Talion has a canon resurrection ability (granted its uncertain how long it takes but still)
I think that Kratos will win. The fact that Talion can teleport his sword inside someone’s head is cool thing, but then again Talion still can’t beat Sauron and we all know how weak Sauron is in this age: www.youtube.com/watch?v=BhjDnrw34QA . Just one attack, that’s all that it takes. But even avatar of Sauron gives Talion a hard time www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtwtdKQVlPk .
While Kratos fight against Zeus was much more intense not to mention that Kratos killed other gods as well.
So I am with Kratos. If even uruks have precog to dodge Talion teleports, then Kratos should have something similar too.

Kratos can soul steal..
“If even uruks have precog to dodge Talion teleports, then Kratos should have something similar too.”
–
That’s not how that works.
Just because a different group of people have an ability that can counter Talion’s ability does not mean that Kratos must have the same. They are from two different fictions.

Uruks gained that ability because they heard about Talion’s ability and thanks to their knowledge about battle they somehow developed this precog which makes them immune to either normal attacks (they block every arrow or attack) or teleportation (they block stealth attacks and shadow strike attack). They gained this because they have battle experience, they never fought against Talion prior to this to learn his moves.
Kratos have tons of battle experience too.
–
Side note, we should give a match to Celibrimor someday:
–
“fight against Zeus was much more intense not to mention that Kratos killed other gods as well”
–
And yet god Kratos got curbstomped by Sauron and the god of war gods barely deserve to be called gods, Naruto is more deserving of being called a god then those pathetic excuses for Olympians. The only versions more pathetic would probably be the Immortal versions or Clash/Wrath of the Titans versions.
He’s lost to people on Talion’s level on this site before (Human Gabriel Belmont for instance) and I don’t see him doing much better here

Sauron power is different in every age. Some version of him are stronger yes, but when it takes one weak sword strike to both damage and kill him, you know that this version is not among them.
“Kratos can soul steal..”
–
if he’s weakened the opponent first….and since half of that oppoent’s soul is the immortal soul of a First Age LotR Elf…..that’s probably going to be tricky from what I’ve heard of LotR First Age Elves.
“Uruks gained that ability because they heard about Talion’s ability and thanks to their knowledge about battle they somehow developed this precog which makes them immune to either normal attacks (they block every arrow or attack) or teleportation (they block stealth attacks and shadow strike attack). And good for them for somehow using their battle experience to develop precognition (however that works).
But Kratos has never demonstrated precognition before. So the point still stands. Kratos is not a Uruk. If he can do the same, you’ll have to prove it with his own feats. Not the feats of people from completely different fictions.
@Rookie
Well a sword strike to the physical avatar he was possessing while his spirit fought the spirit of a First Age Elf, from what I’ve seen some people describe of First Age Elves Kratos would be hard pressed to take one of them down.

We have no idea if First Age Elves are as strong in dead as they were in life.
I mean look at Celibrimor fight against Sauron. Celibrimor had one ring with him and can use it’s power and look how long did Sauron last against him as well as how often did Sauron used casual mindrape to break Celibrimor hold over uruks and orcs. This was a poweful version of Sauron.
In Talion’s age? Sauron was beaten with a single hit, while he had One Ring with him. This version is clearly not even close to Celibrimor’s age version of Sauron.
“Celibrimor had one ring with him and can use it’s power”
–
Then again considering Sauron apparently had a failsafe installed that allowed him to forcibly steal the ring back its arguable how much of the power Celebrimbor was really drawing on, and then you remember Sauron had apparently put most of his power into the ring so without it he didn’t have as much firepower as he would normally have.
–
“Sauron was beaten with a single hit”
–
The human host he had yet to fully assimilate into while fighting control over with the Celebrimbor was beaten in a single hit essentially cutting the cable to the physical world Sauron had set up through said familiar/host forcing him back to Bara Dur where he was very much alive

No. Ring itself wanted to come back. After One Ring realize that Sauron can’t win it change it size.

No this was avatar of Sauron you are talking about. I was referring to this Sauron, with One Ring:
–
Didn’t the movie portray it very differently? As in in the books Sauron was taken down after a battle with a 7’10” Numenorean super solider king, a superhuman First Age Elf High King, and a lucky blow to his ring finger by said Numenorean’s son after he killed them both, when he only bothered to even give a fuck towards them after their armies tried to break down his door for seven years
Rookie, this again? I am tired of the power scaling you do to make characters look weaker.
For all we know, that’s a feat for Sauron or whoever is able to dodge his teleportation and not a weakness/fault of Talion.
/
And the counter evidence to this guys teleportation?
Has Kratos ever faced an enemy who would teleport with a strike?
No, Kratos has experience with lots of things.
People who would strike with teleportation is not one of them, nor has Kratos shown to develop precog from knowledge of his opponents.
/
I’m not deciding who wins. I’ve just seen enough.
Book=/=Movie=/=Game

In canon Sauron was beaten by the combined efforts of Elendil and Gil-Galad.
Sure they beat him, but the cost was Gil-Galad being charred to ash by a touch from Sauron and Elendil being stomped into the ground basically.
–
The movies had one of, if not the most, cunning being on Arda herpaderp to the point of no return.
–
The game incarnation is the only one that can really be applied feat wise as far as Celebrimbor/Talion go.
Not to mention Celebrimbor never made it to Mordor in the first place, rather he was hoisted on some orc spears as a shiny new trophy.
–
With that said, I’m all for the wraith teleporting a blade into Kratos’s skull from behind.
@Numinous
well at least from what the game gives us the events leading up to Saurons fall seemed to be in line with the books overall, outside of Celebrimbor’s brief rebellion before that.
Zeus actually teleports a lot against kratos in their last battle. There is so much magic Kratos can use with claws of Hades.
yeah but when Zeus teleports Kratos isn’t automatically impaled on Zeus’s fist like a hot dog on a skewer
Zeus doesn’t strike while he teleports, does he?
—
That’s kinda Talion’s speciality, hitting things while teleporting. He’ll Elf Shot one thing, then teleport kill to another thing while simultaneously soul draining another monster.
—–
Except now he just gets to focus everything on Kratos.
“Zeus doesn’t strike while he teleports, does he?”
_
But they did www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lTp_7qgyYY 4;43 Kratos got shit ton of magic to bother Talion, teleport does not makes you invincible.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lTp_7qgyYY 11:19 here is a better example. solid reaction timing to, Kratos was blind sided by that
