Probably either Zoro or Satsuki will win.
    Some feats for Satsuki:

    As for Zoro:

Um, seems to be a huge, I mean MASSIVE stomp for zoro. This guy cuts a walking city into like 10 pieces almost instantly. See post #2. He cuts this walking city into many pieces while said pieces are still falling as a refrence for time.

Here is a video to show it’s scale.

Just incase that timestamp stops working, check 1:20.

Man, that dub ruins the feeling of the show. Even though I don’t speak japanese, dubs just kill the style a character was given.

“Man, that dub ruins the feeling of the show. Even though I don’t speak japanese, dubs just kill the style a character was given.”

Dunno about this… I mean sometimes dubs do ruin stuff, but… other times we have characters like Goku. Dub is important sometimes.

I have never actually watched any of the dragon ball series. I saw it as a kid on tv, but entire episodes of screaming and flexing at eachother annoyed the crap out of me. Also, characters that take several episodes worth of filler to fly somewhere got old fast too.

From what I’ve read about D, he solos

Well since our resident Dante fanboy no longer comments I’ll step up,
    Dante Solos.

Yeah gonna side with D here.
IIRC he can throw objects quick enough the friction creates white flames.

Also how would they fare against this?

But they probably never heard a hoarse voice howl, “His left hand is useless, eh? I’ll show you!”
Suddenly there was a powerful gust of wind. Waves began to build and break on the sea that lay in defense of Egbert, and in the blink of an eye, the vast body of water became a thin layer of liquid suspended in the air. All the wind was blowing toward a single point. Toward D—and his supposedly broken left hand.”

And what a powerful gale it was. But it didn’t blow the soldiers through the air. Before it could, the tendrils of wind had already ripped away the flesh and blood that formed their bodies. Necks twisted, arms snapped, and the torsos they’d been joined to broke apart in midair, returning to their original form—sand, to be precise—before they were sucked into D’s left hand.

Also, how are they gonna kill him?
Don’t have the quotes on hand for these, so drawing from a list of his abilities.
    Regen.
One shining example of this power is when he allowed himself to be devoured by a group of five true vampires who were former pseudo-nobles, being torn into five major pieces and those pieces then ripped into smaller pieces. He burst forth from the heads of those five separate beings and reformed effortlessly with out the aid of Left Hand.

    Durability.
Has taken extreme punishment. Which includes been impaled, eviscerated, all his inner organs ruptured, absorbed a nuke blast, survived a collision with a meteor that sent him flying for miles, have a miniature sun envelop his body, covered in magma and frozen at subzero temperatures, withstand blows from enemies who can crush 100 tons and mountain ranges, and crashed at faster than light speed fighting Sigma.
Has also resisted and countered molecular manipulation of his body multiple times such as being turned into water or his insides trans-mutated into a sun.

I’d like to think I’m pretty much aware of the feats of the other three in this match.
    How do they kill him?

  10. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 7:20 am -      #10

“Also how would they fare against this?” (water stuff)

Zoro could tank that stuff with his bare skin. Before even introducing any types of haki.

“Also, how are they gonna kill him?”

Zoro has armament haki. It allows him to attack the ‘true self’ of intangibles. Or completely bypass any materials. Like cutting cities into multiple pieces.

    “Durability.”

Zoro stabs him in the soul with a sword.

  11. Numinous One March 21, 2015 at 7:34 am -      #11

    Fair enough.
D has managed to cut lightning and deflect lasers though, so landing a hit may be difficult.

There’s also his aura that can be used to paralyze people, it was stated his aura is more powerful than the Destroyer’s, who was able to negate the Big Bang Accelerator.
The purpose of which is to recreate the effects of the big bang.

Also in Twin Shadowed Knight, D was able to slice a mountain range in half, so he’s certainly not lacking in power.

There should definitely be a feature on the homepage that shows every match that has been commented on in the last month. Matches get forgotten about way too quickly.

  13. admin March 21, 2015 at 10:03 am -      #13

@LadyRamkin – one of the reasons why having 2 matches per day quickly pushes them down. I’m currently considering a revamp of the site, so that might be something that gets addressed.

    Roronoa have soul cutting attacks?

Isn’t Vampire Hunter D miles above everyone else here?

  16. Jake_Uzumaki March 21, 2015 at 1:09 pm -      #16

    @Friendly
I think that’s only with the Akashic Records

  17. Friendlysociopath March 21, 2015 at 1:17 pm -      #17

Right, what are D’s Powers without the Akashic records then? Cause his Left Hand appears to be an “I win” button for whatever scenario it chooses to manifest itself in.

  18. Kitten Lord March 21, 2015 at 1:23 pm -      #18

Ive not heard of these Records, what do they do?

As for the thread, who has powers that can get past durability/immortality? I cant recall if Dante does or not. If D can regen from tiny piecies as stated above stabbing him wont do any good.

  19. Rookie March 21, 2015 at 1:29 pm -      #19

    @Kitten Lord

“Ive not heard of these Records, what do they do?”

    They can rewrite reality.

  20. Friendlysociopath March 21, 2015 at 1:35 pm -      #20

As for the thread, who has powers that can get past durability/immortality?

I don’t think Dante has anything beyond sealing him into another dimension; I could be wrong about that but I remember Dante’s method is normally just shoot/stab it until it dies.
Satsuki I’m almost certain doesn’t have a way to beat regen, though I may be off.
Pimp mentioned Zoro using one of the Haki abilities but all I can find is that the one he mentioned just pierces Devil Fruit powers to hit the person inside of them- which really doesn’t sound like it would negate regen.

  21. Jake_Uzumaki March 21, 2015 at 1:39 pm -      #21

They would have to completely destroy D the way the Z-Fighters had to completely destroy Cell and Buu.
I don’t know if Dante Zoro or Satsuki can pull that off, but I could be wrong.

  22. Jake_Uzumaki March 21, 2015 at 2:13 pm -      #22

    @Friendly
yeah..seems like Armor Haki would work on intangibility but I don’t know about regen.

  23. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 3:41 pm -      #23

“yeah..seems like Armor Haki would work on intangibility but I don’t know about regen.”

Is it actual regen? Or regen due to intangibility? Think logia fruit user.

“There’s also his aura that can be used to paralyze people,”

One piece has something extremely similar. Zoro has been shown to have the willpower to withstand a similar power from one of the strongest users of that power in the series.

  24. Friendlysociopath March 21, 2015 at 4:25 pm -      #24

Is it actual regen? Or regen due to intangibility? Think logia fruit user.

Please clarify for those of us who don’t know One Piece. Is Logia what Luffy has?
Luffy doesn’t really “regen” does he? He’s just hard to hurt by conventional means.

  25. Jake_Uzumaki March 21, 2015 at 4:39 pm -      #25

Logia are the ones where a character becomes their element like Ace or Aikainu or Crocodile while fully transformed they are essentially intangible to any attack not using Haki. I could be wrong but I don’t remember if it gave them regen, or if they were just able to pull themselves together if their elemental form was dispersed.

  26. LadyRamkin March 21, 2015 at 4:46 pm -      #26

“I could be wrong but I don’t remember if it gave them regen”

Its kind of a pseudo-regen, Crocodile is made of sand, if you cut his arm off, he can form another one, and remain completely unharmed. But if you cut it off using haki then it cuts off his…. “real” arm and he cant simply fix it with his power.

  27. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 5:10 pm -      #27

” cant simply fix it with his power.”

Well, you kinda can. See Aokiji, he lost his real arm and a leg. He keeps those limbs replaced with solid ice that he manipulates, but he still lost the original limbs. A logia is an intangible regenerating form that haki can cut through to the real ‘person’ of.

  28. LadyRamkin March 21, 2015 at 5:28 pm -      #28

“He keeps those limbs replaced with solid ice that he manipulates”

Yeah, but regen would just let him regrow the fleshy ones,

  29. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 7:36 pm -      #29

Yes. Haki from the one piece verse can stop regen. This could be taken into elemental compatibility. I dunno.

  30. LadyRamkin March 21, 2015 at 7:45 pm -      #30

I don’t think it does stop Regen…… It….. Solidifies you. Logia users benefit more from intangibility than regen.

  31. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 8:05 pm -      #31

Logias regen because they are intangible. You slice their arm off without haki, it will regen back. You slice the arm off with haki, its off permanently.

    fc02.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/339/c/f/aokiji_one_piece_z_film__spoiler__by_gonzaloguay-d5n47v1.jpg

This guy is a logia of ice. He is completely made of ice and can create ice from nothing. If he ever suffered burns, he would regen completely. If he ever suffered burns enhanced by haki, they are there for good. This guy has massive burns all over his body as well as a lost limb. Nothing has healed. That is what he currently looks like.

  32. LadyRamkin March 21, 2015 at 8:10 pm -      #32

“Logias regen because they are intangible”

If they are intangible then its not really regen is it? If you cut Crocodiles are off while he is sand, you haven’t actually cut crocodile. You have passed though him, he can spread out and make shapes and stuff, cut through Ace while he’s fire you havent cut ace you have just passed through fire.

Haki allows you to harm their flesh rather than their element. As show by that picture of akoji, he can replace his leg with controllable ice, but he cant replace it with an actual flesh leg. Which would be actual regen.

  33. Friendlysociopath March 21, 2015 at 8:12 pm -      #33

I’d say it let’s you harm intangible people or people immune to typical weaponry, I wouldn’t say it prevents regen.

  34. Aelfinn March 21, 2015 at 8:23 pm -      #34

My interpretation of Logia is that you BECOME that element, and that you just retain your original appearance you have for whatever reason. If you cut a sword through fire, it wouldn’t do anything to the fire, just like it wouldn’t do anything to sand. However, because you still are that element, that can be used against you. IIRC, Luffy beat Crocodile because Luffy’s fists were covered in water and/or blood, and this let him interact with the sand comprising Crocodile as a more-solid object (because water keeps sand in place…or something). It seems like the Haki just changes the nature of the person so that they aren’t “sand” or “fire” while they’re being hit.

It would probably work against anyone with a similar power in another verse, but I would hesitate to say it would work against “ghosts”, because ghosts don’t have a physical form that can be cut to begin with. At least, most ghosts. Elder Scrolls ghosts would probably be cut because they can be cut by anything better than and including a silver blade. Because D doesn’t become an element and instead seems to run on Protagonist Powers, he probably wouldn’t be affected.

    EDIT
I hadn’t watched Kill la Kill….it’s literally a world where being naked makes you stronger? So Raditz was right…

  35. LadyRamkin March 21, 2015 at 8:29 pm -      #35

“My interpretation of Logia is that you BECOME that element”

Iv’e always seen Logia powers as an active ability. Since Luffy has a Paramecia Fruit, but is entirely made of rubber, at all times, no matter what. But by your definition he would be a Logia.

Also Ace was killed by…… Aniku?, And he didn’t seem to be using any Haki at the time.

“.it’s literally a world where being naked makes you stronger? ”

Well… actually, its the wearing of clothes that gives you your powers there…. But i do appreciate the reference.

    Aelfinn owned count #1

  36. pimpmage March 21, 2015 at 9:32 pm -      #36

“Also Ace was killed by…… Aniku?, And he didn’t seem to be using any Haki at the time.”

He was killed by akainu. It didn’t look like haki was used at any time before the timeskip because oda didn’t explain what haki is yet. Visuals were not shown because the reader had no clue what haki is. Visuals were only added after the timeskip.

“Iv’e always seen Logia powers as an active ability. Since Luffy has a Paramecia Fruit, but is entirely made of rubber, at all times, no matter what. But by your definition he would be a Logia.”

Logias only exist as elements. And they are intangible. The fruit luffy ate is like a mix bag of what isn’t categorized as logia or paramecia.

  37. Jake_Uzumaki March 21, 2015 at 10:04 pm -      #37

“It would probably work against anyone with a similar power in another verse, but I would hesitate to say it would work against “ghosts”, because ghosts don’t have a physical form that can be cut to begin with. ”

Well when I said works against intangibility I meant more normally solid characters that can turn intangible like Martian Manhunter, Vision, Danny Phantom, Shadowcat etc. Well maybe not Shadowcat since current incarnations natural state is intangible and she becomes solid at will….not sure how that would work out.

  38. pimpmage March 22, 2015 at 11:52 am -      #38

So what can actually hurt d? What is he weak to?

  39. Rookie March 22, 2015 at 12:01 pm -      #39

    @pimpmage

    “What is he weak to?”

Heat. His weakness is not exactly light, but the fact that he can’t control his body temperature during day time for some reason.

  40. pimpmage March 22, 2015 at 12:15 pm -      #40

Didn’t someone mention him surviving a nuke? How would he not have been killed if he is weak to heat?

  41. Rookie March 22, 2015 at 12:20 pm -      #41

    @pimpmage

“Didn’t someone mention him surviving a nuke? How would he not have been killed if he is weak to heat?”

Probably he tank it during night. During night time D can pull out any sort of… feats. For example he once resisted effect of the Akashic Records. Even Dracula himself was like WTF?! About this.
Or when he sliced a hologram and killed the bad guy thanks to that, while bad guy was in another castle. And D sword is perfectly non-magic weapon. Yeah. I have no idea why bad guy died.
D can pull all sort of strange feats when he should’ve just die.

  42. LadyRamkin March 22, 2015 at 12:22 pm -      #42

“Logias only exist as elements. And they are intangible.”

The Yami Yami no mi Is classed as a logia but black beard isnt intangible…

    Also define an “element”

  43. LadyRamkin March 22, 2015 at 12:28 pm -      #43

The Logias we have seen so far have been:
    Smoke
    Sand
    Fire
    Lightning
    Ice
    Darkness
    Light
    Lava
    Mud
    Gas
    Snow
    and….. Mucus

For some reason Mr 3’s fruit counts as a paramecia when he is made of wax and can produce wax and stuff. Hes not intangible but neither is black beard, their classification system is… skewy.

  44. pimpmage March 22, 2015 at 12:30 pm -      #44

“Probably he tank it during night”

So what is his regen like during the day when he is weaker?

“The Yami Yami no mi Is classed as a logia but black beard isnt intangible…

    Also define an “element””

Devil fruits are still a big mystery that hasn’t been explained by the author yet. Blackbeard’s fruit is quite the oddball for being a logia, though it still hasn’t been explained.

  45. Amm0vamp1r3 March 22, 2015 at 1:18 pm -      #45

D is made “weaker” by sunlight….

“Humans slept by night and were awake by day, while the opposite was true for the Nobility. When the genes of the respective races came into conflict, it was generally the physiological traits of the Noble half—the vampire parent—that proved dominant. A dhampir’s body craved sleep by day, and wanted to be awake at night.”

“Vampire Hunter D, Vol. 2: Raiser of Gales.”

“Still, while it was true they could resist their fundamental biological urges, it was also undeniable that operating in daylight severely degraded a dhampir’s condition. Their biorhythms fell off sharply after midnight, reaching their nadir at noon. Direct sunlight could burn their skin to the point where even the gentlest breeze was pure agony, like needles being driven into each and every cell in their body. In some cases, their skin might even blister like a third-degree burn.”

“Vampire Hunter D, Vol. 2: Raiser of Gales.”

“The tinge of displeasure in Nolt’s voice was due to the fact the species known as dhampir had many of the characteristics of supernatural creatures. As a blood mix between the Nobility—the vampires—and humans, dhampirs inherited some of the physical strengths and weaknesses of both. From the Nobility, dhampirs inherited the ability to recover from injuries that would be considered lethal to a human being. On the other hand, dhampirs lost up to seventy percent of their strength in daylight, they felt an unbridled lust for the blood of the living when they were hungry, and, perhaps strangest of all, not one of them could stay afloat in water.”

“Vampire Hunter D, Vol. 3: Demon Deathchase.”
    =
    =
But a lot of his fights take place during the day time so it isn’t hindering to him to the point he isn’t deadly and at one point he was turned into a sun and he lived

“The skull’s teeth came to a dead stop. “What I did to you . . . would burn a Noble down to the bone. Because it turns you into the sun . . . no one can withstand it. Yet how did you manage this . . . without any antidote? Why . . . the only one who’s ever endured that was our Sacred Ancestor”

Vampire Hunter D, Vol. 15: Dark Road

  46. pimpmage March 22, 2015 at 1:24 pm -      #46

So all these feats you post, are these ALL without those records? I dunno what those even do.

  47. Amm0vamp1r3 March 22, 2015 at 1:28 pm -      #47

Yes those are without the Akashic records and the records basically allow you to alter reality on a universal scale

  48. Aelfinn March 22, 2015 at 1:32 pm -      #48

Hasn’t D also shown he can survive lightspeed impacts, and he can cut through a spear that survived something like two black holes? He really is one of those characters with obscene feats.
    =
“Well… actually, its the wearing of clothes that gives you your powers there”

Lol, well, there was that speech the one girl gave about “getting naked”. It was more of a metaphorical nakedness than anything else…but I just really wanted to get in the DBZA reference.

  49. Amm0vamp1r3 March 22, 2015 at 1:45 pm -      #49

Hasn’t D also shown he can survive lightspeed impacts

He did but previously that was thought to be just a tank but after reading it I found out left hand assisted in that feat.

he can cut through a spear that survived something like two black holes?
I think it was one black hole it was putting out “hundreds of millions of tons of pressure”
    to quote the book

  50. pimpmage March 22, 2015 at 3:45 pm -      #50

I feel it’s kind of odd that vamp d was matched up with these others when he is clearly at a much higher tier of power.

  51. Amm0vamp1r3 March 22, 2015 at 8:29 pm -      #51

He has his moments of highs and lows. He has his reacting to lightning to getting shot by bullets fire from regular humans plus I was just going for a sword fight and couldn’t think of anyone else

  57. Jake_Uzumaki March 22, 2015 at 11:26 pm -      #57

Black Star needs another match on here, preferably a solo one since he hasn’t actually had one (I thought his fight against Naruto was solo but it wasn’t according to the OP he’s backed up by Maaka, Death the Kid, Crona, and their partners)
    Maybe Kratos?

  58. Limbo Lowk March 22, 2015 at 11:27 pm -      #58

    “Black Star so badass”

And yet just as annoying to me as naruto used to be.

  59. Sardine GOD March 23, 2015 at 8:18 pm -      #59

I logged in for the first time in a few weeks, and see Dante all over the front page. Are we in another Dante kick? That said, will we see Mr. Inglish again?

That said, I’ll be watching this match.

  60. Amm0vamp1r3 March 29, 2015 at 1:23 pm -      #60

So for arguments sake, lets say D sits this one out, then who wins?

  61. Limbo Lowk March 29, 2015 at 1:44 pm -      #61

I’d say Zoro. That gaint cutting thing is just crazy.

  62. pimpmage March 29, 2015 at 1:45 pm -      #62

I’ve seen both satuski and zoro in action, and zoro easily outshines her in every way possible. I don’t know much about dante, so he could have a chance for all I know.

Well here is a Dante respect thread,2 pages long. The good stuff starts on the second page imo

So he swings his sword pretty fast, though some people are calling bs on it. What kind of strength can he put behind those blows? Also, how fast can dante move? Sure his sword can move fast, but the body attached to that sword can be evaded or dodged.
