Ork Mega Dread (Warhammer 40K) vs UNSC Mantis (Halo) vs T-39 Bogatyr (Battlefield 2142) vs Atlas Titan (Titanfall) vs AMP Suit (Avatar Movie)
T-39 Bogatyr (Battlefield 2142), Atlas Titan, Ork Mega Dread and AMP Suit all appears here for the first time.
All mechs are allowed to be choose their loadout from their standard options.
Arena 1 – English forest and meadows, with scattered farm and church buildings
Arena 2 – Urban cityfight
Who will win?
I think the Ork Mega Dread has the speed advantage along with being taller maybe?
Don’t know Battlefield, but AMP suit is going down, it takes massive spears(impressive, but the ammunition of three mechs here) are easily going to go through that front window.
The Amp suit has better joint movements, so increased mobility in the first fight-urban setting kills, though (too open for it).
By “English forest” are we talking about marshy, Moors-type forest or just forests plus the wayward mideival fortress? Presence of unstable muddy ground could give our light mechs the advantage-in mobility, at least.

Would also like durability feats of the Mantis and Bogatyr.
Thanks for the match Rookie/Admin!

Let’s make it that there is one area is quite muddy. If the mech pilot is smart he may be able to take advantage of it.
If I am reading this right, that ork dread looks to be an equivalant of something between a warhound and reaver class. Possibly twice the height of the other mechs here, would you mind scaling it down to the others?
It’s roughly twice as tall as a Dreadnought, so definitely not even in Imperial Knight range. I thought any advantage in size it had would be negated by its lack of stealth and close combat focus, which requires it to get in close.
According to lexicanium, not the best source it is about what he said, but it does have tank guns and is also the biggest ork walker short of a stompa.

But I guess it depends on the power of the other fighters, if they have similar weapons and are more maneuverable then they will win.
Oh, my bad neon, I didn’t recognize that type of ork gargant. I was judging it off of that picture. Anyway, my vote is that the atlas would win this handily, those things are super mobile and can deploy a pretty OP piece of shielding tech. I bet it would win 1v1 against most others so it could use its hand shield the best. The mantis definitely goes down almost immediately though, that thing kinda sucks.
The AMP Suit does too, whichever of the 2 that gets seen by an actual combatant first dies first.
The Atlas’ shield gives it an advantage, but won’t its light frame make it terribly ill-suited to heavy fire? As I recall, the shield can only be active for a few seconds before cool down is needed, so any sustained fire from even our light mechs could do significant damage-plus now that there is muddy terrain, it’s general bipedal design and lack of arms mean that if it gets stuck and falls then it’s done.
–
What of the Bogatyr-don’t know much about it.
the atlas’s frame, going off of gameplay, it’s incredibly resilient. Those things take dozens of rockets before going down, barrages of bullets of gigantic calibre. Like warthog calibre.
Warthog calibre is small in this match-the AMP even surpasses it. If it gets cornered or if it gets caught in mud, it’s a sitting duck for the ork cannon and the Mantis.
–
Though it most probably wins in the second match thanks to its speed
Interesting
Ciridae, you know that warthog ammo is like the size of your arm (elbow to hand)? Casing and all.
Warthog as in the quad with the turret or is it another weapon? If it’s the Halo quad, then Even the gun on the Amp is bigger, has a larger barrel, thus it uses larger ammo. Anything in this match has larger calibre ammo, though, so that’s not saying much.
If it’s another weapon, then I will amend my statement with dignity and grace. Also might need firing specs if it is another weapon.
Vortex Shields have about 5 second use for 15-20 second cooldown I think. They reflect any captured munitions back wherever the titan is pointing though once it deactivates.

Not the best vids, but you get the general idea of the Bogatyr from them. It’s armed with a top mounted dual machine guns, has a pair of rapid-firing autocannons, and rocket pods on the sides. It also has Active Defence, which is the glowing green aura you see in the second vid. It’s basically an impenetrable force field that lasts a few seconds before needing a 20-30 second recharge. The top part of the vehicle is mounted on a turret pivot, so it can shoot at basically any angle around it like a tank. In-game, the Bogatyr can tank 5 tank rounds to the front armour.

This gun is so big, the entire plane is built around it.
My bad; I don’t pay much attention to military developments anymore.
–
The rounds themselves aren’t that large and aren’t really effective in-game against heavier armor-its speed and shield are really the only superior qualities since usually a well-placed charge could kill the pilot.
–
Reminds me-how skilled are the pilots? Or are the mechs running using advanced AI protocols for the sake of the match?
Assume all pilots are very competent at piloting their mechs.
Then the Amp is out both matches pretty early.
–
Don’t know much about the Mantis-does it’s armor fare well against high-impact rounds? How powerful is the primary armament?
–
My vote is for the Bogatyr or Atlas for round one, with the Mega Dread taking the second purely with firepower.
@Ciridae
The Mantis has a 20mm auto-cannon on one arm and an anti-air multi missile launcher on the other (capable of firing 5 missiles per volley). It’s armor is absolutely pitiful, but it has an energy shield of unknown strength protecting it. That’s more or less it.
The mega dread seems pretty featless atm, you say it has firepower, but ork weapons are always extremely custom made. We can’t quantify that. Unless you give them imperial equivalents flavortexted as custom ork stuff.
I’d say its between the Atlas and the Ork Mega Dread from what I know of the combatants. The Mantis could probably dish our a decent amount of damage, but its too weak to do much else. Not mobile enough either.

And what is the loadout of the Atlas? It has at least six or seven different guns, with a variant model for each. Then it has four types of shoulder mounted missiles. Then it has three different abilities, two of which are shields, one of which is kinda a electrical smoke screen.
–
Then it has the two “perks” that all Titans get.
–
Finally, it has a time core ability which allows it to do double damage with its weapons.
–
And are the pilots of the mechs allowed to fight on if they can? Because Titanfall Pilots can do quite a bit even without their Titans, especially in a city.
Orks are probly going to win the urban fights with the atlas being the runner up the muddy forest I have know idea

Just 6 actually. For this match, either the 40mm cannon (Extended mags), Quad Rockets (Extended mags), or the Arc Cannon (standard). Secondary is most likely the Cluster Missile or Multi-Target Missile System. Ability should be the Vortex Shield. The choice of perks shouldn’t matter except for Nuclear Ejection, which can take out a mech if close enough.

Yes, but the winner is the last mech standing even if the pilot of another is still alive.
