What If…The UNSC discovered the UCN?

What if the UNSC discovered the UCN

Suggested by itcheyness

What if the UNSC from Halo discovered the UCN (first time here) from Killzone.

Would they merge peacefully?

Come into conflict due to one attempting to subjugate the other?

What effect would this have on the war with The Covenant?

How will this end?

The UNSC incorporates them into itself and suddenly gains better firearms. What period are we talking about here?

    “Would they merge peacefully?”

Both races of humanity are just trying to survive in a harsh universe. The UNSC holds no grudges that cause wars like in the Killzone verse. They should be able to merge with no casualties.

“Come into conflict due to one attempting to subjugate the other?”

I am not too familiar with the killzone verse, but I am sure the UNSC has vastly more troops and ships than the UCN. They would probably realise the UNSC cant be fucked with and just rationally surrender.

“What effect would this have on the war with The Covenant?”

Isn’t the war with the covenant over in the latest lore? Like, there might be covenant pirates out there doing bad stuff, but the whole of them is no longer at war with the UNSC right?

    “How will this end?”

The UCN will be absorbed into the UNSC. Tech will be shared, and they will live the rest of their lives peacefully expanding into the stars.

Wait I remember in the handbook that came with Halo 3 states that there are only 300 million humans left. Now I don’t know how much time there is between Halo 3 and Halo 4 or was there a retcon of such population numbers. If there was no retcon or unless the timeframe between both games is long enough and if the human race went into a mating frenzy the UNSC would be greatly outnumbered so if anything the UCN would absorb the UNSC. Never in the history of man where the smaller nation absorbs the larger.

So if they did retcon the numbers than please place a link to the source of their population numbers retcon because 300 million humans being their total population at the end of the Human-Covenant War was extremely stupid.

16 billion, give or take. Halsey notes in her journal before the war that there are 39 billion registered humans in the UNSC, Hotel Palace confirms 23 billion died in the war. Also, dozens (if not more) of colonies survived post war. Turns out the Covenant skipped over quite a few.

Source for total population from Halsey’s Journal: crocodoc-public.s3.amazonaws.com/2ad996d7-8c24-4042-9288-350aca25bc98/images/page-009.png

“Cortana spoke to the entire group over their helmet-integrated comm units. ―They will be left behind just as the other twenty-three billion that preceded them were left behind. Because they could not be saved, and carrying them with us will only make us vulnerable.‖

I think you might be remembering wrong, I remember 300 million being the number of humans left on Earth after Truth attacked it.

    Or I’m remembering wrong…

For Time period I was going to go with 3 different ones: Just before the outbreak of the Covenant War, midway through the Covenant war, and after the Covenant war.

For Killzone’s time period, let’s go with just before Killzone 2 takes place.
