Esdeath Vs Laxus

Esdeath (who make her first appearance here) from Akame ga Kill! (also first appearance here) going up against Laxus (also first appearance here) from Fairy Tail.

Fight takes place in grand magic games arena, only restriction is that Esdeath will be umable to use her time freeze.

Esdeath does have the ability to freeze time once per day. I think that would sufficiently tip the scales and cover for any weaknesses she might have.

Well after seeing that fight I think this fight could be dead on even. I’d pull up feats for Laxus but I’m currently busy. The time stop would make this a win for Esdeath for sure though

Well time freezing has been banned because I would guess that it’s a insta win.

Laxus has a number of feats that come to mind. Defeating and entire dark guild solo including the guild leader.

As for abilities lightning manipulation and absorbion are obvious. Generation of electric anywhere and everwhere of his body and can manipulate said electric from a significant distance. I’ll let other people explain this is more detail.

However the game changer as far as I am concerned is fairy law. I’ll explain what it is and what it does. Fairy law is a legendary spell used by the guild fairy tale. What is does is create a large ball of magical energy and with the command “fairy law activate” it will realese ton a large bright light big enough to cover and entire town and destroy all things the caster deems evil / enemies. This only works on those targets and leave no clear signs if destruction.

Which has a reasonably long charge time that leaves the caster vulnerable, exposing yourself like that against Esdeath is asking to be impaled or crushed.

Does esdeath light speed reaction time and how does cope aginst long range attrision battles?

Nothing Laxus has is close to lightspeed, closest being his lightning form where he travels and can move as a bolt of lightning.

As of chapter 55 for Akame Ga Kill there are some lightning dodging feats, I’ll get scans later.

Tbh I am about 1 year out on fairy tale. So I am not the most up to date to debate this. the only other think that come to mind is electric aura he generares and swing a metal ligting rod around him could be dangous. As erza I think she dons special armour to fight laxus. Besides is there a reason he could not cast fairy law in lightning form?

@Doku: I’m pretty sure you have to be stationary to cast Fairy Law. That’s, like, the opposite of lightning.

Yeah, AgK’s anime was absolute garbage.

Anyway, I don’t know anything about the other guy, but I don’t think Esdeath has anything greater than normal human durability. A single good hit could bring her down, methinks, but the problem is actually hitting her given how fast she is. And, of course, it’s rather difficult to land an attack when she’s spamming ice everywhere.

Out of curiousity, how does the speed feats in AkG compare to that in Claymore? I looked up an Esdeath vs Teresa fight once but it wasn’t going anywhere atm
