   We generally assume source canon current incarnation unless otherwise stated so 616 comic Rocket Raccoon.

   This match was posted jan 1, 2014. The incarnations world be whatever was the current incarnation then. That would be before the movie came out.

   Current incarnation changes whenever it changes in the actual source material hence why Thor vs Wonder Woman was revived after Thor lost Mjolnir, The rule says nothing about the match date deciding anything
   Even if this was after the movie though we wouldn’t use movie Rocket unless specified because the original source material is 616 comics, just like if EU wasn’t specified we would use Disney Canon Boba Fett.

   I’d imagine admin prepares some of these ahead of time- this one likely came out by mistake.
   That said, what weapons does Rocket actually have? I recall a lot of boasting but not a lot of blasting from Guardians of the Galaxy.
