Malcolm Reynolds Vs Jim Raynor

Malcolm Reynolds Vs Jim Raynor

Suggested by Zervziel

Here we have Malcolm Reynolds from the Firefly series up against Jim Raynor from StarCraft.

Clearly not a who has the batter ship battle. This is assuming Jim and Mal met in a bar. Mal misreads something Jim says about having hooked up with some powerful new Allies (Protoss) and throws the first punch. Who wins?

Admit it. Many of you upon playing SC2’s campaign were wondering who at Blizzard got a Firefly dvd collection for Christmas.

Second, don’t really know StarCraft going with Mal for now.

Hmm this is a tough one. Two space cowboys. I haven’t finished watching firefly, I am about 2/3 way through so maybe Mal pulls off some crazy feat later but for now I give it to Raynor because he managed to beat a power armored Tychus in a bar fight.

No disrespect for Mal, I actually like him better than Raynor, but Mal did have trouble with Reavers while Raynor fought zergs which are just so much worse.

Jim is a huge brute of a man. His arm muscles are probably add big as his opponent’s torso. Jim also has a massive pistol that looks big even when being held in powered armor. That thing is much larger than a .50 cal.

Need feats for the first guy before I can decide.

Malcom? He is the captain of firefly class transport “serenity” He fought in the Unification war serving as sergeant of the independent faction, aka “brown coats”. His people lost the war to the core world alliance aka “blue bellies”, and he bought a cargo ship and travel the star as a smuggler with a very talented crew.

Malcom is good in a bar fight although no feat that show him beat up a person in a giant power armor. He had some limited sword training, and he was able to beat a high trained duelist.

He is a good shot with pistol, and he is a very tactical thinker, he picks up clues other people would miss and he thinks 2 steps ahead when he makes any move.

But since this is a bar fight, fire arms should be off limit. Malcom has a good chance of fighting Raynor in a bar fight although Raynor has better feat than him.

“He had some limited sword training, and he was able to beat a high trained duelist”
Not quite. He got basic sword training, true, but the expert duelist toyed with him then wrecked him before getting distracted by one of Mal’s friends and Mal stood up and beat the guy to the ground, before saying something like ‘Mercy is the mark of a great man *poke with sword* but I’m just a good man *poke with sword* or maybe I’m alright.’

    Jim Raynor completely outclasses Mal.
