   Well, I’ll take a stab at it.

   The survival of the SDF 1 and 2, would not have stopped the construction of SDF3. I see no reason for them to not build another battlefortress since their main fleet needed anything it could get. Anyway Admiral Gloval becomes Supreme commander of the Southern cross. Leonard fades into the annals of history. Lisa Hayes is appointed Captain of SDF-2 where her Fellow Senior bridge officer Clauda Grant is Appointed to captain of SDF3. When the descison is made to send SDF3 to the Master’s System, The Sterlings lead the mecha divisions, still leaving Dana to Rick and Lisa.

   SDF-1 and SDF-2 would be okay…. SDF-2 takes off to destroy Master’s homeplant… but not many ships would exist in the supporting effort, so…… SDF- 2 might get blown up because SDF-4 might not exist, SDF-3 gets built, but later on, SDF-3 and SDF-1 defend Earth, Gloval becomes an overlord general type…… and Invid would learn about planet Earth…. I mean the protoculture was the reason for them coming, and they wanted it. So the Invid would come, but Scott Bernard might not be in the New Generation, so the resistance might not exist, are at least not have great leadership. Well, that would probably happen. SDF-1 repaired, by the way.

   The Invid were only drawn to earth because of the events in the end of The Masters Saga though, If Zor Prime didn’t crash into the Wreckage of SDF1and2 it wouldn’t have Agitated the Flowers of Life. So At the very least The Invid would be delayed and forced to meet Stronger Resistance

   I only meant to say that they probably wouldn’t ROFLstomp earth’s defenses like they did originally. Seeing as Gloval is running the show throughout the Masters War and the chance Earth has to rebuild if the Invid don’t come at the same time

   Well, yeah, but the Invid got some power, man. And maybe Rick Hunter won’t be with the REF, so if he becomes leader, chance, we might have.

   I always felt the Invid were weak in equal number combat, they were only so vicious cause of sheer numbers. We see multiple instances where 3-4 invid shock troops get owned by Scott’s Alpha in seconds, or even lose 1v1 against a cycloneArmor.
   I don’t really see Rick as Very capable in a High command Role, his Strengths lie on the battlefield or maybe at the Command of a SDF. I tend to think rick and Lisa Stay on earth while Claudia and the Sterlings along with the bridge bunnies Head the REF fleet. With Rick, Lisa and Gloval Heading Southern Cross and the Remainder of the RDF the Masters war won’t be so hard on Earth’s forces, Namely Supreme commander Leonard wont be there to screw things up
