Guardians (Destiny) face off against Warframes (Warframe)
Just a series of one-on-one battles.
Loki vs Hunter.
Hydroid vs Warlock.
Rhino vs Striker.
Oberon vs Defender.
Saryn vs Sunsinger.
Excalibur vs Bladedancer.
Nova vs Voidwalker.
Battlefield: Empty Coruscant. Guardians start in Jedi Temple, Warframes in Senate district.
Everyone is at their max.
Which side will score more victories?
Don’t know about Hydroid. His ultimate is pretty messed up. But save him I think the Tenno got this. Faster reflexes, more spammable abilities, more capable at traversing the the environment.

“Warframe Archive – Debrief excerpt:
We sat strapped in, safeties off, waiting for the punch. Waiting for death. Through my filthy porthole I saw stars among the outlines of the other Splinter ships queuing for the Solar Rail. It would soon grip us with an incomprehensible power and cast us through the void into the mouth of our enemy.
I watched the ships one-by-one bending and gone. Each crammed with zero-tech soldiers sucking stale air, white knuckling their percussion rifles. Each filled with a desperation that comes from extinction. Our ship would be the last to cross the gap. Our ship had special cargo.
It was essentially empty. Just ten men, like me, strapped in with the best zero-tech suits and weapons the empire could build… and “it”. “It” stood in the aisle, a slender and eyeless metal form. A Tenno inside its Warframe. Vaguely human, vaguely feminine. Was this armor or some ornate carapace for the monster that lived inside? I strained against the harness as the ship yawed for final approach. I could see the Tenno standing there freely. Solemn and gold-gleaming, oblivious to the inertial force.
I had been, until then, a Tenno denier. They were ghosts, propaganda, twisted casualties of the void era. Not possibly real. Yet here it was in the flesh. The Empire, in their desperation, was going to turn the demons loose and hope for the best. Who did we fear more, the enemy or this monster? We had our safeties off, could we trust it? Then it didn’t matter anymore. The punch came – and our windows became blinding. When we could see again our ship was somewhere else, shattered and dead in an instant.
My lungs were flattened, eyes full of death. Ship debris glittered like a night snow. The alien blue star was dark and blinding beyond us. The countless articulating worm-ships of our enemy, ringed in glowing discs, undulating and heat-bursting the surviving soldiers like me. This is where I died. I was in R-disc, sweeping over my right and setting my blood on fire. My vision flattened, the hearing muffled and buzzed. I could feel the side of my face going slack and wet.
I was in a dying dream. I saw a bright spot blurring and weaving toward me. I felt a tug toward it from the metal clasps on my suit. It reached me, rising up – a gleaming beast, a plume of golden wings rising and unfolding behind it. An angel. It snatched me from my death. I could feel my lungs fill as it wrapped me in its wings. Its Void Shield shimmered blue, strained under the enemy beams. I felt a suddenly tug of acceleration. I closed my eyes and held on it like a child.
I awoke on the floor, the sting of crisping flesh on my face and side. It was standing over me, the wings gone. I heard the cracking of weapons echoing down the corridor. Maybe the mission would be saved, but I was dying and so I waved my hand to send it away. I felt a pistol thrust in my hand as I was heaved to my feet. The angel had saved me, pulled me from hell, but it would not pity me. I was to die on my feet, by its side. I turned my good side toward the gunfire and raised the gun. It nodded, its outstretched metal hand surging and pulsing in ancient shapes as blue shimmered around me. It turned, drawing its blade and together we surged headlong into the hailstorm of death and fire that awaited us.”
Furthermore, the Tenno are in their ace here. Cramped corridors and plenty of places to walljump and fuck around with increases their manuverability by far.
I’d like to point out that tennos can’t actually spam abilities. Their energy is quite limited, and they sustain themselves using packs they find around the map.
Spamming your skills is never a good idea…

Never again…

Maybe with base stats. But OP put them at max. I’m pretty sure I’m no where near max anything and I’m able to spam abilities 1-3 before I run out. Ultimates I’m able to get about 2-3 times in a row.
I’ve played neither, but on the general side, don’t the Guardians rely more on shooting their enemies and using some powers while the Warframes have a wider variety of exotic powers that their combat revolves around?

Tenno blocking bullets is canon

One of the normal unaltered abilities is that blocking lets you block rapid gunfire for a as long as stamina last.
–
Even in game at the current beginning tenno are expected to block Vor energy blast that wrecked their escape ship.

So there weapons are capable of taking quiet a pounding.
–
Also around 3:30 it shows of Loki’s switch teleport that allow him to switch places with stuff. It’s very disorienting when it happens to you when you don’t expect it. I know because troll seem to be the default mode for loki players.
Funny enough I think the worse Frame here to fight against is Loki.
–
He create decoys, can become invisible at will, Teleport where he whats you, And can fuck up your projectile weapons so you have to turn to some other means of attack.
” don’t the Guardians rely more on shooting their enemies and using some powers while the Warframes have a wider variety of exotic powers that their combat revolves around?”

To be honest most Tennos rely on guns & melee weapons too. Your abilities are just meant to fit your preferred play style, provide quality of life improvements, and act as icing on the cake.
–
As i said earlier, energy IS limited, but the relevance of that depends on how you build your Tenno i suppose.
–
MOST of the Tennos use their abilities to augment their potential with their weapon, whether it be a melee weapon or a gun.
Of course there’s a few exceptions such as Vauban… aka God/Troll mode.
I’m curious. What are tennos and warframes?
@erickyboo
Tenno are the people who were given powers due to exposure of the void.
Warframes are the suits they wear that shape the power into various effects.

Seriously though, these are alot more balanced than i originally thought.
True, they are somewhat more balanced than expected, but it seems like Tenno have the edge in agility. To the point where it may be ridiculously hard to hit some of the Warframes. Even ‘frames like Excalibur, not one of the most evasive out there, still have the ability to fly around like nobody’s business.
–
I’ve really only played Excalibur and Rhino, and I think Rhino takes it over Striker. With a heavy weapon like Scindo or Fragor, the huge armor boost he has and the ability to disrupt time he should have it in the bag
“‘frames like Excalibur, not one of the most evasive out there, still have the ability to fly around like nobody’s business.”

Guardians aren’t really rookies when it comes to aiming… And warframes aren’t faster than bullets.
Not to mention that Warframes speed occurs in short bursts, and isn’t constant.
–
I think the Guardians can win a few. So it isn’t a stomp match by any means.
–
“I think Rhino takes it over Striker. With a heavy weapon like Scindo or Fragor, the huge armor boost he has and the ability to disrupt time he should have it in the bag”-
–
True that, Rhino’s a beast
Guardians have several weapons that appear to fire lasers or beams of light. So there is that.
And it helps that some of the Guardians Supers are AoE attacks, with wide ranges of damage. As well as they others being super fast or instant hit.
Don’t the Destiny people get ‘canon’ respawns or something like that?
“Guardians have several weapons that appear to fire lasers or beams of light. So there is that.”

What weapon fires laser?
===
“Guardians aren’t really rookies when it comes to aiming… And warframes aren’t faster than bullets.”
–
But they do have the reflexes/rt to react to them and even block them.

“I think the Guardians can win a few. So it isn’t a stomp match by any means.”

Hydroid and Excalibur might have some trouble. But excalibur slash dash can get him around the area pretty quick and iirc it’s getting a rework to super jump that can stun and makes him invisible… Though I think the invisibility might just be to follow the a trope flash step trope for more ninjaness.
===
“Loki vs Hunter.”
–
Loki is pretty much designed at puttin his opponents to a disadvantage. Not only can he go invisible, he can lay down false loki and disarm you. That plus he could jump off a cliff to his death and switch places with you. Then again Hunters do have that double jump that could cushion his fall.
===
“Hydroid vs Warlock.”
–
Hydroids only real advantage is the tentacle move. But the warlock can blink out of that so it not a sure fire move.
Beside that Warlock can fire homing or three disintegrating blast at a time.
===
“Rhino vs Striker.”
–
Rhino can stop people in time with a AoE move and become invulnerable do crazy some pretty crazy stuff for a bit. including against other Tenno. He can also rip machines apart with his bare hands.
Strong/durable as Titans are that hax mixed with that strength I think Rhino takes it.
===
Oberon vs Defender.
–
Oberon can cause energy to blast out of you and has limited tk. So he doesn’t really have to worry about getting through the defenders shield.
===
“Saryn vs Sunsinger.”
–
Sunsingers ability to come back might be a saving grace but last I checked Saryn was capable of putting out stuff that can emit a poisonous mist that disintegrate people. Sunsinger breathes that in an there’s going to be a problem.
===
“Excalibur vs Bladedancer.”
–
Probably the closest match. Both can put out power capable of disintegrating enemies. Excalibur has the advantage of reach, even without a proper sword he can create on. Bladedancer got that short range teleport so hitting BD could be a problem. However Excalibur reflexes are fast enough to block bullets so in a regular melee fight I think he’s got the advantage.
That aside, Excalibur can blind people regardless of what direction you come at him. BD gets caught by that and not only would it make it hard to fire at Ex he won’t be able to see him approach and slash dash is very good at bring you in from a distance.
===
“Nova vs Voidwalker.”
–
Voidwalker attack need to be aimed Nova’s doesn’t. Also of the frame who have a way of avoiding guardian’s attack Nova, Ash, and Loki should be capable wither through teleport or portals.
“Don’t the Destiny people get ‘canon’ respawns or something like that?”
–
Only with a ghost which I’m pretty sure counts as outside help… That or be a warlock. In which case you get a extra try.
The problem with this match up is that there are no specific loadouts, which makes this a lot harder.
We could go with simply the best weapons in the game for the Guardians but if I remember right the weapons are a lot more varied in Warframe in terms of power and which is essentially best.

Its skin changes, flowing like mercury when I’m blinded by the sudden muzzle-flashes. They do no good. The beast surges forward and the security men become crimson mist and gore.
