   Not familiar enough with individual characters of BlazBlue to make a decision for Round 1.
   Leaning towards them for Round 2 if only because the Black Beast has massive destructive potential.
   –
   May need durability feats for it though, if it has nothing good Acnologia could just speed hit and run till it dies.
   –
   Take-Mikazuchi would be useful for precision strikes, though Etherion has more power.

   Also BlazBlue has Izanami who is literally death itself in the BlazBlue universe so the best thing for Fairy Tail is to somehow seal her away possibly

   This thing can withstand a bunch a nuclear bombs as when it first appeared nations worldwide fired at it with their nukes. Didn’t even phase it one bit. I’ll try to find more about that

    Which of course, makes me remember that some kind of lightning speed feat(don’t remember much detail) was given for Hazama in his fight with Rand… Before all of his debaters got scared off of course.

    I’d really like to be able to root for FT, but based on those posts up there, the second round may be lost. I’ll have to research BlazBlue for the first round, though.

    I haven’t seen much of Fairy Tail- do they have any of the standard anime powersets?
    For example
    Trapping someone with their shadows, making an area subject to magical rules, sending people to other dimensions, mind-rape, killing someone with the sound of your voice etc?

    As powerful as plot demands. Recently two weak characters managed to hold their own against main villain of the current arc just fine.
    They are as powerful as plot demands. It really doesn’t make any sense. This is also why fairy Tail losing popularity. Even I stopped reading this because of how stupid 404 chapter was.
    But top tiers so far about island level in durability and power.

    Honestly that explains a lot. I don’t read manga but I’m watching the anime. One episode Natsu fights and wins against a villain who’s more powerful than him and another episode he fights and gets his ass kicked by a character way weaker than said villain

    Yes, this about right. Also about few last chapters. Villain can manipulate pain and cast it upon Erza. Ok. Next villain blocks all Erza senses, but she still can feel pain. Ok, why? With all her senses off (she is blind and so on) Erza get back and hit villian with 100% accuracy. Why? She even dodge attacks in that state and of course wins.
    This is chapters 403 and 404.
    How could author of Rave Master write such stupid plot?
    Good thing that I found Magi manga.

    I wouldn’t say that, Mard was toying with them, countering all their attacks one-handed. He pretty much admitted that a few chapters ago. He hasn’t demonstrated anything against them that he did for the Celestial Spirit King.

    Why? “Because she’s Erza”, goddammit.
    I was expecting her to be able to sense curse magics without any distractions but nope.
    Also technically, Erza collapsed after she knocked Kyouka down, Minerva had to rush in and finish her.

    Back on topic. Black Beast looks like it would need Etherion to be put down, or Acnologia spam attacking it from above.
    The lowest calcs I’ve seen for his breath attack are 104MT due to pulverizing a crater in the ocean floor, pretty low calibre compared to bijuu and all that, but it’s a massive increase for FT.
    The mid-high tiers have been calced at about Mach 6-7 pretty consistently too, with lower tiers at 2-4.
    And Taurus intercepting shotgun pellets from a few metres away after it was fired, but no one likes Taurus, so moving on.

    Until feats are provided Hazama is the only one with a speed advantage.

    EDIT: That calc for Acnologia was done without taking into account that granite in the ocean floor has a higher density than normal.

    I’ll post the links when I get home but two cutscenes from Chrono Phantasma show good speed feats for both Azrael and Izayoi. Also one shows Jin having very good reaction timing with his battle with Izayoi

    @Rookie: To be fair, it is magic. Also, isn’t the “as powerful as necessary” thing built in in a way? Because isn’t “heart” a factor in how much of their power someone can access?

    I’m sure there’s a new feat in there though, how overloaded would your nerves need to be to feel a breeze as utter agony? Followed by getting your ass beat for awhile.
