Kharn the Betrayer Vs Master Chief & Xena

Kharn the Betrayer Vs Master Chief & Xena

Brilliantly Suggested by God of Godzilla

This fight features Kharn the Betrayer (Warhammer 40K) facing Master Chief (Halo) and Xena (Xena Warrior Princess) who also have an army of 1 million fan boys.

Kharn doesn’t have his Armor or weapons except his Axe and the chains wrapped around his arm.

Master Chief has a Spartan Laser and a energy sword both with infinite ammo.

Xena has an indestructible Chakram and infinite throwing daggers.

The fan boy’s fanboyism is so intense that Master Chief and Xena are surrounded in an indestructible fan boy shield until all the fan boys are dead.
Half the fan boys are trained by Master Chief and are equipped with 22.caliber weapons, the other half are trained by Xena and are equipped with bronze weapons.

Battlefield is a hill surrounded by a forest with Kharn at the edge of the forest, Master Chief and Xena at the top of the hill and the fan boys in the forest.

How would this play out?

    So Kharn has nothing but his melee weapon… while Chief and Xena get infinite ammo for their range weapons…
    I mean sure Kharn is pretty durable but can he take “infinite” shots from the Spartan Laser? If that isnt going to kill him team 2 just gets roflstomped, if that does kill him Kharn gets roflstomped.

    Really doesn’t seem like a balanced match at all.

    What is this madness.

  3. Sauroposeidon June 30, 2014 at 7:58 am -      #3

    What.. the.. fuck…

    This is… strange..

    Gonna have to give it to Chief though. Splazor + Super Shield seems like a sure win.

  4. Xander Xtreme June 30, 2014 at 8:12 am -      #4

    But, but, but the SPLAZOR AND ALL MIGHTY CHAKRAM ARE NO MATCH FOR GORECHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  5. Ragnorke June 30, 2014 at 8:19 am -      #5

    “But, but, but the SPLAZOR AND ALL MIGHTY CHAKRAM ARE NO MATCH FOR GORECHILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

    so… either team 1 stomps, or team 2 stomps… i don’t know enough about either to say for sure.
    But if Kharn doesnt go down from an “indefinite” number of spartan lasers, he would just go and roflstomp team 2.
    If Kharn does go down from a few spartan lasers, he basically gets roflstomped by team 2…

    Not a great match scenario either way

    How can you kill something that is indestructible and possibly infinite?….

    Yeah, gonna have to give it to the Spalzor. Kharn is good, and in most scenario’s this wouldn’t be nothing special to him, but no armor, and having to wade through meatshields? Chief has been shown to have crazy accuracy. All it takes is one shot.

  8. OberHearse June 30, 2014 at 8:48 am -      #8

    A lot of fanboys would die though.

    And for those who don’t know, this is a joke match based on the three most wanked characters in FP. Or most commonly wanked. First MC, then I believe Xena, though I have no idea WHY people thought she was so good, then Kharn.

  9. Private Khaos June 30, 2014 at 8:55 am -      #9

    What. The. Actual. Fuck. Is. This?

  10. the watcher June 30, 2014 at 9:18 am -      #10

    Joke matches are funny. Can we use their most wanked feats for this?

    Kharn kills everyone other than MC, who backpedals while hitting him in the face with the 0MGU3B3RSP!azZor. That hurt to write by the way. How did the old fanboys/wanker types manage to type that honestly?

  11. Commander Cross June 30, 2014 at 9:46 am -      #11

    I’d probably count Eragon himself personally, though he’s far from the only offender nor is he the biggest offender ever*, but he’s done too many offenses to get ignored there.

    1.) (*Duly notes the Vamp-induced novels, the twilight sequels included to personal irritation*)

    Feats for Kharn (before ending of the heresy):

    “The axe in Khârn’s hand was Gorechild, toothed by mica-dragons and once thrown from the hands of a primarch. He’d chained it to his bare wrist in imitation of the Nucerian gladiators, whose bones he’d seen and honoured mere days before at Desh’elika Ridge.

    The captain was stripped to the waist, as were all the warriors present.

    ‘Sanguis extremis,’ Khârn said. Some of the crowd breathed in, showing their shock as the humans they once were. Others laughed or cheered. More fists beat against chests.

    Erebus regarded Khârn with cold, composed eyes. Several seconds beat in silence, before the Word Bearer’s lips curled in a soft, indulgent smile.

    ‘Bold, Khârn. Are you s–’

    Gorechild revved for the first time since its rebirth, eating air with the throaty snarl of an apex predator. That interruption was the only answer Khârn would give, and Erebus raised his crozius in reply.

    ‘Come then.’

    Three blows. The first: Khârn smashed the maul aside with the flat of his new axe. The second: he cannoned a headbutt into Erebus’s nose, breaking cartilage with a wet crunch. The third: Gorechild tasted first blood, ripping across the Chaplain’s chest, carving a canyon of flesh over the dense subdermal armour of the warrior’s black carapace torso implant.

    All of this happened in the time it took Erebus to blink. No one could move as fast as Khârn moved. No one human, and nothing mortal. The Chaplain threw himself backwards, crozius up high to guard.

    Khârn walked forwards, gunning Gorechild’s trigger. The crowd was silent now. This was a Khârn they’d never seen – not even on the field of battle.

    Another three blows, delivered with the same blinding speed. Erebus’s maul clang-skidded across the deck; he took a fist to the throat and a boot to the stomach, knocking him back with enough force to send him crashing onto the bloodstained iron grillework.

    He looked up at Khârn from the ground and saw his death in the World Eater’s eyes. He’d never seen this before, not in any of the paths of possibility. It couldn’t be happening. It couldn’t end like this. He was Destiny’s Hand.

    Khârn looked down at him, clearly allowing time for the Chaplain to recover his crozius.

    ‘Get up.’

    Erebus rose, his mace in his hands again. He attacked this time, showing the speed and skill that had allowed him to hold his own against Lucius of the Emperor’s Children, and Loken of the old Luna Wolves. His crozius trailed killing lightning, buzzing furiously as it thrummed through empty air again and again. Khârn weaved aside from every blow, quicker than a blink, surely quicker than muscles could ever allow.

    Their weapons crashed together. Khârn had parried the last blow. Erebus expected accusation in the World Eater’s eyes, or surely anger. He saw neither. Worse, he saw a bored indulgence. The captain even sighed.

    Three more blows. Erebus was on the deck before he knew how. Pain flared across his chest, hot and urgent, matching the thick throb of his smashed face. He reached to touch the wound with a hand that was no longer there.

    His hand. His hand was on the deck, several metres away. Blood leaked from the chewed veins nestled in the meat of his severed limb. Turning unbelieving eyes downwards, he saw where his arm now ended at the wrist.

    ‘Going to need an augmetic for that,’ Kargos said from the crowd. Several warriors laughed, but few with any real relish. They were too fascinated by what was unfolding.

    Erebus looked up at Khârn again. He was just waiting.

    ‘Get up.’

    The Chaplain rose. Khârn didn’t wait this time – the blows were bloody blurs of whining motors and tearing chain-teeth. Pain bloomed across Erebus’s body, and he was face-down on the deck again before he’d managed to fully rise from the last time. Even without his armour’s pain nullifiers and chemical stimulants, Erebus suppressed the pain by whisper-chanting a sacred mandala. Khârn interrupted it.

    ‘Get up.’

    Erebus actually tried, but he froze when he felt Gorechild’s teeth against his spine. The idling chainblade was purring and breathing out its promethium fuel-stink, the axe’s stilled teeth kissing Erebus’s vertebrae.

    Never, not even in fragmentary glimpses, had he foreseen this duel.

    It couldn’t end like this. He couldn’t die here. There was so much to do. Signus Prime. Terra herself. In all the Ten Thousand Futures, Erebus had seen himself fighting the Long War to the very last.

    The very same second Erebus reached for the ritual knife at his belt with his remaining hand, Khârn pulled the chainaxe’s trigger.

    There should have been a scream. Everyone expected it. Every warrior present waited to hear the First Chaplain of the Word Bearers shriek as Gorechild bit into his flesh. But there was nothing beyond the rotating whine of an axe blade chewing empty air.”

    Erebus was able to give a good fight against Lucius and according to Erebus himself he allowed Lucius to win.

    Team 2 still wins IMO.

    So basically this is a nude Kharn vs 2 million fanboys, MC and Xena?

    Tis a horrible stomp for team 2

    Or maybe Kharn pulls out his genetically engineered super cock and starts firing acidic semen at the fans. He then procedes to rape them with nothing but gorechild and his dick.

  16. Rookie June 30, 2014 at 10:50 am -      #16

    @mack006

    ” starts firing acidic semen”

    Only Dark Angels and Space Wolves can do it. Kharn is World Eater, so he can’t do something like this.

  17. OberHearse June 30, 2014 at 10:57 am -      #17

    And Sanguininus. Don’t forget him. Of course, it also cures cancer and makes you unsatisfied with any experience for the rest of your life….but still. Very deadly.

    Though I’m sure Fulgrim wishes he could do that.

  18. the watcher June 30, 2014 at 11:42 am -      #18

    Fulgrim can probably do that by now.

    Fanboys are a non factor. Need more than a .22 for something like Kharn.

  19. macrostheblack June 30, 2014 at 12:33 pm -      #19

    to be honest in 40k he is not the most durable and even with his armour karn would not survive as well as for team 2 there is no way he would survive for very long

  20. OberHearse June 30, 2014 at 12:40 pm -      #20

    The only reason Kharn is really special in 40k is he is blessed by Khorne. And he’s a pretty good fighter.

  21. God Of Godzilla June 30, 2014 at 12:41 pm -      #21

    Ok didn’t expect my match to appear this early :/
    i was actually inspired by AHEM when he/she did the battle simulation of Conan vs Xena when random fanboys appear to attack Conan except i decided to crank it up by having the 3 of the most wanked characters and have a giant army of fanboys

    The Forest-Hill scenario is there so MC and Xena can’t just Splazor-Knife Spam at Kharn while he’s busy killing fanboys unless they decide to shoot everywhere.

    Despite having infinite ammo, MC still has to wait for his Splazor to charge up to fire

    If the battle is too hard for Kharn should i give him Carapace or Flak armor as the power armor is to tough for anyone in this fight

  22. Ragnorke June 30, 2014 at 12:44 pm -      #22

    “The Forest-Hill scenario is there so MC and Xena can’t just Splazor-Knife Spam at Kharn while he’s busy killing fanboys unless they decide to shoot everywhere.”

    Why not?
    Are you saying the Splazor cant go through trees?

  23. God Of Godzilla June 30, 2014 at 12:52 pm -      #23

    Well its so MC doesn’t know what he is going to hit otherwise he’s gonna hit a fanboy which is basically the equivalent of bashing your own shield/armor

  24. Xornell June 30, 2014 at 12:57 pm -      #24

    Kharn is really too nerfed here to do anything. He has to kill one million nonfactors while Chief can take shots at him through an indestructible shield with a tank-killing laser? In the nude?

  25. the watcher June 30, 2014 at 1:23 pm -      #25

    Give the dude some armor then. Not his, but some.

  26. Rookie June 30, 2014 at 1:34 pm -      #26

    @the watcher

    “Not his, but some.”

    AFAIK current Kharn can only wear his own armor, cause it’s “custom” armor. He is too big to use any other armor.

  27. God Of Godzilla June 30, 2014 at 1:36 pm -      #27

    Ok Kharn will have full Flak armor except the helmet also the trees are now Splazor proof

  28. TheSorrow June 30, 2014 at 1:40 pm -      #28

    Huh… not much I can say about this one. Xena isn’t going to be able to do much here without a stronger weapon.

  29. OberHearse June 30, 2014 at 1:45 pm -      #29

    She could trim his nails. Deadly weapons those nails.

    So….for the match…I dunno. Depends on how densely packed it is. Flak Armor ain’t gonna mean anything though.

  30. God Of Godzilla June 30, 2014 at 1:46 pm -      #30

    Well she could throw her knifes or use her Chakram to hit Kharn at the head or something

  31. OberHearse June 30, 2014 at 1:55 pm -      #31

    Not likely to do anything. I believe there is a quote of a SM taking a laspistol shot to the head and just turning around and yelling at the person who did it.

  32. Amm0vamp1r3 June 30, 2014 at 3:09 pm -      #32

    For shame

  33. pimpmage June 30, 2014 at 6:46 pm -      #33

    “Not likely to do anything. I believe there is a quote of a SM taking a laspistol shot to the head and just turning around and yelling at the person who did it.”

    I actually reread that part, but that SM had his helmet on as later mentioned in that page.

    Anyway, if this was just a fight between mc with standard gear and an ‘unarmed’ Kharn, mc would still get his ass kicked literally. I really with there would be another ‘unarmed’ SM match. That was beautiful.

  34. Neon Lord June 30, 2014 at 7:45 pm -      #34

    Flak armour should bounce .22 bullets easily. Nude Space Marine skin would’ve been stuffed after a while.

    And the trees being splazor-proof is a major boon. Now all Kharn has to do is wait in the trees for MC and Xenia to come to him.

  35. itisburgers June 30, 2014 at 9:49 pm -      #35

    Halo 4 has chief survive a gravity well that ripped covenant carriers to peices, said well also tore chief off of the ship he was on. Chief also survives slip space travel outside of a ship. Also he survives a nuclear device detonating in his hands. And the naked space marine has an axe and some chains.

  36. deathmetal3k June 30, 2014 at 10:29 pm -      #36

    “I’d count Goku and Superman on the wanked list personally.”

    Goku, perhaps. But Superman usually lives up to the wank attributed to him. As far as wanking goes, these three aren’t even particularly bad anymore on this site. In fact, Kharn and MC tend to get shitted on quite frequently here nowadays.

    That being said, this match is going to be hard to make not a stomp for either side. Either the team wrecks a naked Kharn, or Kharn solos everything.

  39. erickyboo June 30, 2014 at 11:30 pm -      #39

    Was this one of the silly matches? I think I’ll request a match but I need good opponents hm.

  40. ReDruM July 1, 2014 at 1:23 am -      #40

    LOL. Well, I’m going to try and play Devil’s Advocate here. From what we know about Kharn the only thing on Team 2’s side that can actually mortally wound him is the Splazer. .22 and Bronze weapons will only serve to piss him off even without the armor and once he gets in the thick of it targeting him would be nearly impossible with all the blood, guts, and body parts flying everywhere and even though there’s a million people here its not like all of them can get at him at once. So if he plays it smart he might be able to get in a hit on the Chief before he can target him.

  41. Xornell July 1, 2014 at 1:55 am -      #41

    “.22 and Bronze weapons will only serve to piss him off even without the armor”

    I think I’ll disagree. Spess Mareens are tough, and a single .22 gun means nothing. But 1 million .22 guns is a whole lotta nothing. Without armor, Kharn is pumped full of lead sooner or later.

    “thick of it targeting him would be nearly impossible with all the blood, guts, and body parts flying everywhere ”

    Chief doesn’t really need too specific targeting with his “fuck you uber laser” that blows up tanks.

    “So if he plays it smart he might be able to get in a hit on the Chief before he can target him.”

    OP says they’re protected until Kharn does away with the fanboys. Of which there are a million.

  42. mack006 July 1, 2014 at 3:19 am -      #42

    If Kharn has his armor and pistol he DEFINITELY solos. But being naked changes the whole factor. After all even a superhuman has limits. Kharn can’t go around fucking 2 million mooks, he’ll eventually run out of juice and go limp. Unless he has a stash of Viagra hidden up his ass, Kharn dies from too much snu snu.

  43. mack006 July 1, 2014 at 3:21 am -      #43

    Post 27 states that Kharn will be wearing flak armour minus the helmet and the trees will be splazor proof

    Also forgot to mention that MC and Xena can move but they have to be close to each other and Kharn knows that they are shielded and must kill all the fanboys to kill them

  45. God Of Godzilla July 1, 2014 at 6:07 am -      #45

    When was there 1 million fanboys with 22 caliber weapons?
    I’m pretty sure it’s a total of a million fanboys with 500,000 bronze weapons and 500,000 22 caliber guns

  46. Glutinous-Bicarbonate July 1, 2014 at 10:07 am -      #46

    What.

  47. Xornell July 1, 2014 at 10:30 am -      #47

    “Post 27 states that Kharn will be wearing flak armour minus the helmet and the trees will be splazor proof”

    Flak armor is garbage, though. It’s not going to provide protection from the small caliber guns forever, and the splazor-proof trees only prolong the inevitable.

    “I’m pretty sure it’s a total of a million fanboys with 500,000 bronze weapons and 500,000 22 caliber guns”

    Good point. Is 500,000 .22 guns really that much different lol?

  48. God Of Godzilla July 1, 2014 at 10:54 am -      #48

    Well I was thinking that a grazing shot from a lasgun should equal to a direct hit from a splazor due to the technological difference and I’m pretty sure a combo of flak armour, reinforced bones and the black carapace as well as khorne’s blessing can stop a lot of 22 rounds

  49. Crimson Sentry July 1, 2014 at 6:33 pm -      #49

    When you have to nerf a character this much, whats the point of debating. Take away the indestructible shields Kharn wins, otherwise no.

  50. OberHearse July 1, 2014 at 8:10 pm -      #50

    Kharn could probably do a lot honestly, even with those 22.’s…..but 1,000,000? I mean, he does have his weapons….but 1,000,000? The swords, pfft, easy….but those 22.s….

  51. Neon Lord July 1, 2014 at 8:44 pm -      #51

    Flak armour is designed to tank Lasgun bolts, which are able to punch through several metres of concrete (the feat itself is somewhere in the Gaunt’s Ghosts series I believe). .22s should be nothing.

  52. OberHearse July 1, 2014 at 9:15 pm -      #52

    Yeah, but what about the headshots? He’s gonna go blind eventually, and there are gaps in the armor. Plus, Chief will be firing the whole time. And Flak armor ain’t gonna tank a Spartan Laser.

  53. Neon Lord July 1, 2014 at 9:48 pm -      #53

    Splazor-proof tree cover solves that.

  54. itisburgers July 1, 2014 at 9:55 pm -      #54

    @alpha
    Chief says there’s no time to get below deck, at least part of him is exposed to slip space travel.

    Name any occurrences of cortana making shields.

  55. Xornell July 1, 2014 at 10:22 pm -      #55

    “Well I was thinking that a grazing shot from a lasgun should equal to a direct hit from a splazor due to the technological difference and I’m pretty sure a combo of flak armour,”

    Nah. A lasgun is anti-infantry. It can fuck up armored targets, but it’s not doing what a splasor does.

    “Flak armour is designed to tank Lasgun bolts”

    Lol, what? No it’s not. Flak armor provides protection from shrapnel and flak. It’s described as “providing a small measure of protection from glancing hits with energy weapons such as Lasguns.” It’s made from layered ceramic, which is not very different from a modern bulletproof vest. And those things aren’t good for multiple shots, let alone half a million +. This is besides the fact that Flak Armor consists of a vest, pauldrons, greaves, and a helmet. His legs, face, arms, and lower torso are all very much exposed.

    “Name any occurrences of cortana making shields.”

    Halo 4 comes to mind. Dude, you don’t actually think Chief tanked a nuke, do you?

  56. OberHearse July 1, 2014 at 10:38 pm -      #56

    @Neon Lord
    It would, if Kharn didn’t have to kill one million people. He can’t hope to remain behind cover all the time while killing people. Plus, he’s not exactly the most tactical of Space Marines. He’s gonna be in a rage….and he’s a huge as target. Plus, unless this is a ridiculously dense forest, he’s just gonna end up getting stuck at some point. Which is all Chief needs.

    And yes, in Halo 4 why he survived the nuke at the end was due to Cortana using a combination of teleportation and those crazy Forerunner shields.

    And we don’t actually know if Slipspace actually hurts you if yours outside….I don’t think.

  57. Alpha or Omega July 1, 2014 at 10:55 pm -      #57

    Did you only listen? Because, you need to look.
    After he said there’s no time, he used his thrusters to get to the nearest secure spot which is that gap on the ship. Sure, it’s not the lower deck but I would certainly pick that gap instead of hanging on to the exposed areas.

    Cortana says in her direct words: “Most of me is down THERE, I only held enough to GET YOU OFF THE SHIP”
    Here’s Cortana directly saying she protected the Chief.
    If Chief detonated the nuke at point blank, he would’ve died.
    /
    Also, logic man.
    Rentry has hurt John and long falls have killed spartans.
    Energy swords have also killed spartans in one stroke.
    Oh, remember the Fall of Reach game?
    A nuke kills them too. Sure, S-III.
    Point is, nukes are far beyond their limits since these show that you don’t need to go as far as nukes for Spartans to go MIA. John is no different besides luck…

  58. Aelfinn July 1, 2014 at 11:28 pm -      #58

    For what it’s worth, Splazors have that big ol’ red laser telling you exactly where it’s pointing, not to mention the long charge-up time. Of course, MC is using it, so his reactions should deal with at least some of Kharn’s speed, if not all of it, so this may be moot. But, ya know.

  59. erickyboo July 1, 2014 at 11:36 pm -      #59

    Johnson escaped with others on a pelican and met up with John-117.

    I think people think that the Spartan laser is a clunky device that’s slow and bad to get infantry kills… It’s quite good and it can be like a sniper…

    “Johnson escaped with others on a pelican and met up with John-117”

    Don’t worry, I know. I was referring in meta why Johnson survived.
    Kinda like Boba Fett in the Legends EU where he was saved by the fans from the sand bottom mouth.

    “… It’s quite good and it can be like a sniper…”

    And it has infinite ammo thanks to the suggestor.

  61. cuccolover July 1, 2014 at 11:40 pm -      #61

    we also have to account the recoil of the spartan laser. since the game mechanics doesn’t allow recoil of it. the cool down is also a factor because even with infinite ammo, it has to cool down.
    EDIT: i changed if to since because i just realized my stupidity at the moment.

  62. Neon Lord July 1, 2014 at 11:54 pm -      #62

    “Lol, what? No it’s not.”

    I stand corrected.

    “He can’t hope to remain behind cover all the time while killing people. ”

    According to OP, MC and Xenia would be unwilling to kill the fanboys in their attempts to hit Kharn.

    “Plus, he’s not exactly the most tactical of Space Marines. ”

    This is a common misconception. Kharn is not a completely nuts beserker like Angron most of the time, and even in battle he is (almost) completely aware of what he is doing at every moment. He will know to hide behind cover/use meat shields if a giant red laser is being pointed at him.

    I say almost as he sometimes has hallucinatory visions about killing the people he is talking to.

  64. Xander Xtreme July 2, 2014 at 12:51 am -      #64

    Soooo, MC and Xena win? Or does Kharn give a lot of BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD AND SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE?

  65. cuccolover July 2, 2014 at 12:56 am -      #65

    give the match time. i am waiting for some xena and halo fanboys to show up. or chuck inglish.

  66. God Of Godzilla July 2, 2014 at 3:47 am -      #66

    @Xornell
    He kills his teammates because Khorne doesn’t care where the blood flows as long as it flows, in other words it doesn’t matter who Kharn kills as long as he kills

    @Xander Xtreme
    For now it looks pretty even with Kharn having 1 million and 2 skulls or MC and Xena’s biggest achievement with help of their fans ever

    @Everyone
    Where the heck does it say there is 2 million fanboys?
    It’s 1 million fanboys not 2, 1

  67. Neon Lord July 2, 2014 at 5:04 am -      #67

    Wait, so he’s just a dick who kills his teammates because… Violence?

    There’s a reason why he is called Kharn the Betrayer. He’s a devout follower to Khorne, through and through. It doesn’t matter whose blood flows, just so long as it flows.

    Of course there are special exceptions to that rule, some of Khorne’s followers are far too valuable to have them kill one another.

  69. Private Khaos July 2, 2014 at 9:55 am -      #69

    I still think this is one of the weirder matches I’ve seen in a long while. And I can’t think about Kharn now without remembering how people were debating what his color scheme of one of the only matches I’ve suggest that was fair. Anyways lots of fanboys will die and I think this could go either way

    So yes, because Violence lol. Yeah, it seriously is a miracle Chaos can do anything. Although I suppose it explains why they’re 15 Black Crusades in without accomplishing anything.

  73. God Of Godzilla July 2, 2014 at 6:50 pm -      #73

    Well he only had 2 major betrayals if they are in anyway betrayals
    One of them was due to a battle between the world eaters and a space marine group, Kharn got impatient and slaughtered everyone what would’ve lasted an hour between the 2 space marine groups in a few minutes
    His second one was when the world eaters had to take shelter from the cold in a planet, Kharn wasn’t happy that everyone was in shelters so he took a flamer, set the shelters on fire and kill everyone which caused the world eaters to split into several groups

    “So yes, because Violence lol.”

    Pretty much. Its basically a form of worship to Khorne, and it gives him more power. All that “Skulls for the skull god, blood for the blood god” jazz. Tis a shame Orks are immune to Chaos.

    “Yeah, it seriously is a miracle Chaos can do anything. Although I suppose it explains why they’re 15 Black Crusades in without accomplishing anything.”

    To be fair, they have accomplished a good amount. The only problem is, they can never make good on most of that because as soon as they gain a foothold, they either get some bullshit thrown at them, like the Grey Knights or CREEEEEEED!

    Honesty, kinda like the Orks, if Chaos could unite and work together for all out war against the Imperium, they would have gotten to Terra a long time ago. Unfortunately for Failbbadon, the Chaos Gods don’t want it to end, neither do they want to work together.

    Though I still never get how they can’t take on damn planet. I get Cadians are really badass, and it access to basically several Chapters worth of Space Marines if there is a hint of trouble, plus things like Grey Knights or Assassins…….but they have had former Primarchs, now more powerful Daemon Princes assault it. More than one at a time. With a shit-ton of their personal forces. HOW?! Goddamnit Failbbadon!

    Abaddon didn’t fail entirely in his crusades; just that the Imperium viewed all of them as attempts to breach the Cadian Gate when it wasn’t actually their purpose.

    1st BC – Whilst the invasion fails, he proves the Black Legion as ascendant, gains his daemon sword, and proves he is able to unite the Chaos forces.
    2nd BC – Successfully launches a raid to unleash a virus that only came into effect centuries later. Also frees a bunch of daemonic prisoners from an inquisitorial vault
    3rd BC – Assault on Cadia is a diversion whilst he successfully destroys a saint’s remains and prevents a prophecy from occurring.
    4th BC – Destroys a major fortress world, vastly weakening the defences of the Cadian gate.
    5th BC – Deliberately draws in vast Imperial reinforcements to the world he is fighting on, and destroys two Chapters of the Imperium.
    6th BC – Destroys a major rival of his with treachery.
    7th BC – Steals a bunch of valuables, including Eldar artefacts and Space Marine gene-seed for Fabius Bile
    8th BC – Completes a major ritual to appease Tzeentch.
    9th BC – A prolonged siege allows raiding parties free reign in the sector afterwards, and allows many Chaos fleets to leave the Eye of Terror for the main galaxy.
    10th BC – Gets beaten up, but learns a lot about the defences of the Iron Hands homeworld.
    11th BC – A test with a daemon to see if he could leave the Eye of Terror without going through the Cadian Gate. The daemon dies after the first attempt, but he gains Ork prisoners for daemon-xenos hybrid experimentation.
    12th BC – Largest incursion to date; gets beaten up but successfully seizes two Blackstone Fortresses.
    13th BC – The first BC where he is actually aiming to fully expand out of the Eye of Terror, using the deaths of millions to make it expand and finally go to Terra.

  78. OberHearse July 2, 2014 at 10:46 pm -      #78

    @Neon Lord
    I know they had other purposes besides actually conquering Cadia. Though I didn’t know all the specifics, thats pretty cool. However, my point was that I just don’t get why they haven’t been able to do it considering how massive some of the numbers have been for some of these assaults.

    So we have cortana teleporting chief which i did not dispute, and no mention of shields. Every other instance of teleportation in the series takes a couple seconds which is longer than a nuclear explosion takes to go the four inches from the center of the warhead to chiefs hands.

    Chief survives re-entry in the first two levels of halo 4 with no side effects. This was also through an event horizon the ripped covenant carriers to shreds.

    The diadect disentegrates all humans on a space station, chief loses shields and passes out. Gets back up before the diadect can even leave the system

    Halo 4 is a canon breaking mess written by fanboys for fanboys. Chief is more durable than any other instance in the series, due to vague upgrades he got. Do I personally think chief could take any of the punishment that halo 4 has him triumphantly walk away from? No, but I played the game and it did happen. Unless kharne can swing his axe like an upper mid tier brick, it ain’t getting through chief.

  85. The Sony Girl July 5, 2014 at 10:31 am -      #85

    Kharn can swing his axe like an upper mid tier brick, if old BankGambling legends are correct.

  86. Ranger Lowk July 5, 2014 at 10:34 am -      #86

    “Chief survives re-entry in the first two levels of halo 4 with no side effects.”

    Well he was knocked the fuck out for a good bit so I wouldn’t say “no effect”. And we already know that the armor can stand up to that kind of impact. Just this time he wasn’t locked down by it like last time.
    ===
    “This was also through an event horizon the ripped covenant carriers to shreds.”

    Was because he used the covenant carrier as a sort of shield or buffer?
    ===
    “The diadect disentegrates all humans on a space station, chief loses shields and passes out. Gets back up before the diadect can even leave the system”

    He was evolved before hand to become immune to the composer before that happened.
    ===
    “Halo 4 is a canon breaking mess written by fanboys for fanboys. Chief is more durable than any other instance in the series, due to vague upgrades he got.”

    Wasn’t vague, he was specifically changed to be immune to the composers effects.

  87. God Of Godzilla July 5, 2014 at 12:40 pm -      #87

    @Itisburgers
    Normal Space Marines have a strength of like 3-4 tons, Kharn casually own said marines, being a champion of Khorne makes Kharn even stronger then any normal space marine captain. Gorechild’s blades are made of Mica Dragon Teeth which is considered harder than 40K Adamnantium, 40K Adamnantium is so strong that a space marine wearing terminator armor which has a Adamnantium exo-skeleton got stepped on by a titan and survived but Kharn with Gorechild just slices through said armor.

  88. TheSorrow July 5, 2014 at 1:07 pm -      #88

    Wasn’t vague, he was specifically changed to be immune to the composers effects.

    To be more specific, his evolutionary process was accelerated to distinguish himself just enough to not be targeted by the Composer.

  89. Alpha or Omega July 5, 2014 at 1:40 pm -      #89

    “So we have cortana teleporting chief which i did not dispute, and no mention of shields.”
    /
    That’s a hard light shield. Dude, if you look around after the shield is gone, the composer’s ship is destroyed. We see and hear that Cortana made the hard light shield. Heck, even from the context before hand we knew that Cortana was uploaded into the ship. We even see her coming out from the hard light bridge. Why would Cortana take MC off the ship after the nuke has detonated? That would be a waste of energy that led to her end.
    /
    “Every other instance of teleportation in the series takes a couple seconds which is longer than a nuclear explosion takes to go the four inches from the center of the warhead to chiefs hands.”
    /
    I don’t recall a few seconds, and besides, if Chief was hit with the nuke, he would’ve died like other spartans.
    /
    “This was also through an event horizon the ripped covenant carriers to shreds.”
    /
    I’m not sure how the physics of an event horizon works exactly, but I’m pretty sure that larger ships get damaged more than little ships and people do either due to surface area or something.
    /
    “The diadect disentegrates all humans on a space station, chief loses shields and passes out. Gets back up before the diadect can even leave the system”
    /
    I believe you can thank the librarian for making 117 unaffected.
    /
    “No, but I played the game and it did happen.”
    /
    Misinterpretation actually.

  90. OberHerr July 5, 2014 at 2:33 pm -      #90

    @TheSorrow
    Actually, the Librarian had implanted in humanities genes somewhere a gene, that at some point in our evolution, we would become immune to the Composer. She just accelerated humanities evolution in him. But yes, aside from immunity to the Composer, we have no idea what else it did to Chief, if it did anything.

  91. TheSorrow July 5, 2014 at 3:33 pm -      #91

    How is that any different from what I said?

  92. Sauroposeidon July 5, 2014 at 4:49 pm -      #92

    “Normal Space Marines have a strength of like 3-4 tons, Kharn casually own said marines, being a champion of Khorne makes Kharn even stronger then any normal space marine captain. ”

    Do we know that Kharn is actually stronger? There is a difference between being incredibly skilled and being stronger.. although the end result for your enemy doesn’t really change.

    Batman pwns legions of regular humans, and even many super humans. In the AU he’s often the most dangerous being in pretty much the entire universe… this doesn’t make him physically stronger. He’s just smarter and more skilled. Not to make light of these traits.. but for all we know these may be what makes Kharn so good at killing his fellows. Skill tends to make much more of a difference than strength as it is.

  93. Commander Cross July 5, 2014 at 6:12 pm -      #93

    @The Watcher at #83

    I don’t mean in The Black Crusades, I mean as far as IoM Sub-factions worth reading about are concerned among their various factions, really.

    ___

    Also on a not-directly-related note, Batman can nail Eragon to the wall if he wants to, and depending on what Batman has, he could fight Kharn maybe?

  94. OberHerr July 5, 2014 at 6:12 pm -      #94

    @Sorrow
    From what I got from what you said, you implied it was because he had an accelerated evolution that the Composer wouldn’t register his as a human. That’s not why. It’s because the Librarian implanted a gene in mankind that makes them immune to it. He got registered by it just fine it seems, it just couldn’t work on him because…space magic.

    @Sauro
    From what I know of Kharn, he is bigger. Hence his modified armor. So I would assume he is at least a little stronger. But a lot of his battle prowess is due to intimidation, and like you mentioned, that fact that he is REALLY old and as a byproduct quite skilled. He’s been around. A lot of the newer SM’s are only centuries, or even decades old. He’s one of the oldest SM’s alive. Plus, I’m sure there are some battle persk for being a Champion of Khorne. Khorne kinda decides who lives and dies in his armies, so I assume he helps Kharn out some.

  95. TheSorrow July 5, 2014 at 6:22 pm -      #95

    He got registered by it just fine it seems, it just couldn’t work on him because…space magic.

    That’s the part that sets him apart from humans. A big part of the game focuses on Master Chief and his isolation from humanity, the fact that he had his body altered only compounded his isolation from the rest.

  96. Ragnorke July 5, 2014 at 6:25 pm -      #96

    “From what I know of Kharn, he is bigger. Hence his modified armor.”

    Any info on just how big?
    You could probably use that to calculate his strength in comparison to a regular SM assuming strength increases proportionally with size instead of exponentially (which for the most part it does).

    His armor itself might add some durability and punching/head-butting strength, but it would only slow down the force he can put behind a swing.

    And does he get more supernatural power for being a champion of Khorne? Or is it just a title.

  97. OberHerr July 5, 2014 at 7:29 pm -      #97

    @Sorrow
    Yeah, it does add to the whole overarching them of Spartans losing their humanity. And him, I guess in this trilogy, trying to get it back.

    @Rag
    I couldn’t really tell you how much bigger he is, though I can say that I doubt any charts we have on proportional strength would help much in the context of WH40k. As for armor slowing him down, its Power Armor, so it only increases his speed, strength, even awareness.

  98. OberHerr July 5, 2014 at 7:37 pm -      #98

    “Chief survives re-entry in the first two levels of halo 4 with no side effects. ” Remember mentions of survival due to a wing or something before 4 and the words luck being thrown everywhere. That and a large portion of spartans dying from said impacts in their suits.
    “Gorechild’s blades are made of Mica Dragon Teeth which is considered harder than 40K Adamnantium, 40K Adamnantium is so strong that a space marine wearing terminator armor which has a Adamnantium exo-skeleton got stepped on by a titan and survived but Kharn with Gorechild just slices through said armor.”
    Wait… can’t he just block with the axe all day and use the fans as slippers until they are all dead then?

    “Misinterpretation actually.”
    95% percent of chief.

    “Batman pwns legions of regular hum-”
    *spiderman punch*

  100. God Of Godzilla July 6, 2014 at 3:38 pm -      #100

    @Laharl
    If Kharn wanted to he probably could tackle everyone to death or just jump over anyone Mario style and it helps that Gorechild has a haft made of adamnantium though trying to block the splazor with the axe blade may accidentally damage the teeth-tracks but then again it took a whole building falling on the damn thing and breaking through the building with the axe to even damage it.
